It would have been really, really strange if Morrigan and Leliana had any interaction. In my imported world state, they had never met.

I don't think you can import that from the keep.

Isn't the only options with Leliana whethe or not she died in the temple and if Majolaine died? I think the keep defaults that you always recuit her.

Sorry, I haven't seen the original file personally.

Here you go, second post.

Oh, thank you! I was hoping you knew how to find them and that maybe you'd be willing to help me see them, too.

Do we know if anyone has actually seen this bit of dialog in game?

I am going to start with Abyss right now, after finishing Halamshiral. I have spoken to both Hawke and Morrigan, but haven't gone to Crestwood yet. It's going to be interesting to see whether this is the correct way to trigger the cutscene. I will report back.

No I'm pretty sure one of my world states had her not recruited

I did all of that exactly as you said to, talked to Morrigan and Alistair until I had nothing new to discuss with them, and that scene still never triggered. Is it bugged?

Is that not in there? If you go and get Morrigan and then begin the plot with the Grey Wardens, there is a period where Alistair or Loghain is potentially at Skyhold at the same time as her -- and there is a scene between the two of them if you go and speak to Morrigan. Might only be if they were involved in the Dark Ritual, I don't actually recall, but I don't think so.

So….. I think it’s safe to assume this scene is glitched? Because I went back and forth between them (and Leliana) about a dozen times while they were all at Skyhold, and Alistair definitely did the Dark Ritual, so theoretically I should have gotten this scene.

*thank goodness for incremental saves*

It must be bugged, it's not working.

Morr and Lel were together during the 5th Blight helping my FemWarden, their friend and Al to save the world.  And they pop into the war table room and never say"hey remember that time, or how are you? or even..Lel saying Um your son is 10 years old, huh who's the Father?  Just seems odd.  ANd Fiona never being introduced to Kieran.  Or Al getting to meet keiran or anything.  I know Morr said she wanted to raise the child alone. but she brought the child with her to Skyhold, so the child should have met its family.

Leli mentions the DR if she romanced the warden and there is meant to be a scene with Alistair talking to Morrigan about the kid. It looks to be bugged or cut thoguh.

Morrigan and Loghain did the DR, but no interaction between them. I'm about to attack Adamant Fortress, so I assume it should have been triggered by now, but nothing. I even did Halamshiral before starting "Here lies the Abyss". The scene appears to be glitched, or we are still doing something wrong.

Is there actual voice recorded dialogue files found between Alistair & Morrigan. If there is just text, that might be a reason why it's not happening in the game. The text got in but the voice was cut.

When I played, I left Alistair in the fade, and it took like 4-5 conversations before Leliana brought it up. It was funny because I imagined in my head they had been avoiding each other in the halls of Skyhold and not saying anything to each other. I feel like a lot of the character development and interaction overall in the game was lacking. So for me I guess it's not a big surprise they aren't talking to each other. Disappointing, but no big surprise.

The triggers must be broken. I definitely did not have any interaction between Alistair (as Warden, romancing a mage HoF, with OGB) at any time between Morrigan's arrival and the Choice in the Fade. And I put that off for as long as I could. He didn't mention Morrigan at all.

The mod group have found the conversation. It simply will not trigger. The current theory is that it was cut, though, not broken.

[ETA: now I've read the thread, I see, bugged, or way-too-specific, not cut. If the only way to get it to trigger is to do Halamshiral first, then get the Warden... well, bummer--because logical story progression--the way the NPCs talk to you, Leliana talking about getting the Warden, and the first storyline Skyhold quest being "Talk to Varric on battlements" etc--would have a majority of players pick up Hawke/Crestwood (and therefore Alistair/Loghain) first. So, it seems it just won't fire for most.

So, my theory is now that the triggers only allow for "Morrigan present in Skyhold" before Alistair/Loghain arrives.

Seems like a less specific trigger might need adding?

*trying to decide if I should nix 50 hours of play or just restart game.....*]

Side note: Fiona in the same Keep, and he talks about the HoF needing information from her. No option to say "hey, she's here!" *plot hole brain explosion Grr*

"Leliana not recruited" is definitely a Keep option.

She may have met Morrigan, kinda. The fight in the bar still happens, and you'd normally have Morrigan, Alistair and (probably) Dog with you by then. Morrigan would (probably) have been present for the second attempt-at-coming convo with Leliana, as well. But that wouldn't justify the comments Leliana says in DA:I: Morrigan doesn't say anything in the second conversation, and the "Aren't we all full up on crazy?" in the first is Alistair's comment, iirc.

So the upshot of this thread is that no one has ever seen this Al/Log vs Morrigan cutscene in the flesh, or got it to trigger properly?

Since I've already spoken to Hawke (but not opened up Crestwood) does that mean I've already screwed it up?

I did Halamshiral before even talking to Hawke/Varric and it still doesn't trigger anything. :(

I did Halamshiral after talking to varric and hawke, but no trigger. Next time I'm not going to bother doing that one first.

I did Abyss first in my first playthrough and it didn't trigger (since Loghain and Morrigan were never in the keep together), so in my second playthrough (with the exact same world state) I did Halamshiral first (so that Morrigan and Loghain *would* be in the keep together) to see if that would make a difference. But it didn't.

I've seen that the mod group found dialog for Alistair+Morrigan, but I don't know if there is any dialog for Loghain+Morrigan (which is the one I'm trying to trigger).

I'm trying to decide if this is even worth trying to trigger, I'm guessing not since no one has had any success.

Thanks for the link. Using that tool and extracting and looking through the talktables it looks like there is some written interaction between Morrigan and Leliana regarding her dress. Don't know if it's a scene, wartable banter, voiced, or cut but I assume it's Leliana that's talking giving how well it links to that DAO banter. The second part looks like it's via the Skyhold messengers that roam around. I would imagine this is not in the game simply because it's been a month and I've seen no one talking about it.

exactly when is this supposed to happen? i got Morrigan in Skyhold after Wicked Eyes & Hearts, then started Here Lies the Abyss. after meeting Alistair in Crestwood I went straight to the Western Approach to continue the mission, and when I came back to Skyhold after that, I talked to both him and Morrigan (while they were both in Skyhold) and I got nothing. i have lots of hard saves around that time and i've reloaded them and tried again and I'm still not getting anything. Alistair & Morrigan even did the Ritual together in my world state, but no dice.

This might be of interest. Still haven't got an idea how to trigger it but at least it's a glance at what's in the files.

Awesome! Now we just need to find the trigger.

For the protocoll, if you keep Loghain alive at the end of Abyss, and did Wicked Hearts before Abyss, he will tell the Inquisitor: "Give my regards to the witch."

And Morrigan will have a short sentence about Loghain dead or alive after it. Though the Inquisitor never passes on those regards, pshh! ;)
