Now that I have a mod that kills everything, I don't need to worry about endless spawns. Sure things fall from the sky, but they're dead the second they hit the ground. And let's be honest, it's nice going to the same cave over and over... you know your way round. I really hate this game... I don't want to play it. I just want to happily move on to Inquisition.

"It's not that bad"

Yes, yes it really is. I honestly hope whoever was the brains behind this game was fired. Seriously, I just shake my head and ask God why.

I feel the same way. A big part of me is wispering to myself: "don't play it, it is an abomination rushed by EA for extra profit" and another part is lying to me "dude, just play it and get it over with"

I played it only once and after that I felt as if I have been forced to watch a very long and bad movie with no real payoff.

I am still battling with the thought whether I should rush a second playthrough of DA2 just to get my memory refreshed on the events, characters, etc. I just installed quite a few mods to make this experience as painless as possible (yes, there will be pain! just looking at those unnecessary "karate" moves when casting spells) but right after the very first battle (before the character customization), I felt this disgusting feeling in my gut...

EDIT: I actually believe that the "brains" behind DA2 got promoted or got a huge raise. I mean, putting a huge crap on a title, that had so much potential of a sequel, just for a quick buck - thát is effective marketing!. It feels as if BioWare are very talented artists who have no backbone to step up to EA and their ridiculous money-grubbing policies

EDIT2: (the rage continues) I feel, that with such a disapointment of DA2, DA:I should at least be 50% off the price. DA2 is just like a big unfulfilled hole in me. Like a Matrix sequel. It would feel better not even knowing that the sequel exists. And funny enough, they didn't even have the decency to call "DA:I" - "Dragon Age 3", because then people would say: hey - if there is a Dragon Age 2, I have to play it as well. But no - EA probably don't want people to know that there is such as thing as Dragon Age 2..

Well I just completed my playthrough, took me about 20 hours. The combat is still horrible, but I managed with a mod that kills everything. Just spam 1 and done. Yep, game is still garbage, but at least I refreshed my memory. I now understand all the DA2 decisions in the keep... so there's that.

What mod was that? I found this website http://www.reddit.co...ge/wiki/da2modsand a mod called Story Mode - (Makes casual mode really easy, so the fights will be over about 3X faster.). So far I am playing on normal and yes - that is also my intention - being reminded about the details of the different events, so that when I look at the big choises in Keep, I know what they are all about.

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine? Nothing like scathing negativity to really establish your identity.

Was the game as good as Origins? No, very little is. Was it TEH WORST GAME EVER OMG? Hardly. You just spent 20 hours HATING something. You'd have enjoyed those 20 hours a lot more if you'd made a basic effort to find something you liked about it. I can't imagine doing anything for 20 hours while viscerally hating it, especially if it's a video game. Why not spend that time doing literally anything else?
