Here is a list of all the Mastercraft materials in the game:

https://docs.google....57835wssYTYGv4/

Note: Items with * indicate that they are obtained from a quest.

I think it should be the complete list, but let me know if you find anything I've missed.

A quote from my Attributes guide regarding Mastercraft stacking:

Mastercraft Effect Stacking

  • Identical mastercrafts do not stack!
  • Different tiers of the same type of mastercraft do stack!
  • E.g. +15 stam x2 will give only +15 stam; +15 stam and +10 stam will give +25 stam.

Thanks! Is there a way to get these items via the console or is there a 3rd party trainer?

I second Cyber on this. Or knowledge on what merchants might sell them or areas that sell them. I used some nice ones on armours that are now underlevelled and miss procing walking fortress ;n;

can anybody confirm whether the effect of Highever Weave (on kill: +20 magic for 10 secs) is bugged or not?

I know chain lightning silverite is bugged. Procs but does no damage.

Not bugged. Attributes are just very weak in this game.

Lyrium potion upgraded = +60 magic, actual damage increase 20 points or so.

well.... its pretty pointless then..great.

So for example if you already have say, high magic, when crafting a staff its better to go with something like crit chance/dmg, + % attack, or armor pen?

Nice list.

I have a theory that Fade-Touched Volcanic Aurum is actually the 10% extra damage per enemy within 8 meters stat. It has the same variation that FD Bloodstone and FD Summerstone have.

Tier 1:

FT Summerstone 1: +5% extra damage for each enemy within 8 meters

FT Summerstone 2: 2% chance to use Unbowed on a hit.

Tier 2:

FT Bloodstone 1: +7.5% extra damage for each enemy within 8 meters

FT Bloodstone 1: 5% chance to use Unbowed on a hit

Tier 3:

FT Volcanic Aurum 1: +10% extra focus for each enemy within 8 meters  <-- Inconsistent with the rest of the stats.

FT Volcanic Aurum 1: 10% chance to use Unbowed on a hit

Could anyone verify ingame if this is true?

It is indeed better to go with Attack % when you can. 1 Magic converts to 0.5% Attack. So say you have a staff with +25% Attack, that would be equivalent to 50 Magic.

Just to clarify whether I'm understanding this correctly:

  • If I were to farm any one particular mat, say Silk, there's a small chance I may also find one of its masterwork variants?

Also, what's the special note on the * mats (like Golden Halla Hide)?

You want a staff with high base damage.

For slots you want crit chance, crit damage, attack%. If you go stats, aim for willpower.

So you'd think! Regretfully the ingame text clearly stats that it's focus, and not damage. =/

It's strange, since this is probably the only mastercraft effect that doesn't have a third tier somehow.

Could you try the mastercraft ingame and verify that it doesn't give any damage?

First GhoXen thank you so much for all your efforts and all your threads.  They are easily the single best resource I have had the priviledge of using for DAI.

I was curious if you know where I could find a decent list of currently known Schematics?  Dragoneage3.wiki is decent but clearly incomplete.  I hate IGN and almost never use but there are so few resources on this game right now...

Mostly I just want to see whats out there.  Having the locations would be nice but isn't necessary.  Just knowing what is in-game and what slots/mats everything uses would be a Godsend.  I doubt there is a complete list anywhere right now but anything would be kool.

All I have is a list of all (or most) of the ingame items' item codes. Here's the list: pastebin.com/raw.php?i=9bmwpLLU

Recipes are under the prefix "DA3/Equipment/Crafting/Recipes/". Regretfully, these codes don't reveal much about what the recipes are, and chances are some of them are actually not implemented ingame. I also don't have the time to test them all out and record the info, yet.

Ah yes, forgot to mention. Those are obtainable only via quests, ergo you will only ever receive one such material, max.

PSA:  The quill back leather does not seem to work like you would expect it too.  Seems fine against melee attacks but ranged/magic attacks just 1 shot you.  I put it + Fadetouch silverite (guard on hit) on Solas and he was getting insta-gibbed with Full HP/Guard up by Wraiths/Despair Demons.  There goes several hours of my life  ;p

Are you sure this worked on melee attacks? I tried it by putting on myself and went in front of a Hyena in the Western Approach and got 1 shot. I thought it was just bugged and doesn't actually reduce the damage you take, but I could be wrong here?

If it does only work on melee attacks and nothing else, then that makes it a lot less attractive of an option..

Question:

What decides variation? Snouffleur skin has 2 different effects. Is there a chance to drop each of the two, or is the effect dependent on which slot you apply it to like weapon/armor?

each one is a seperate drop.

Not sure if one is more common than the other.

After a little bit more testing I *THINK* the issue is that if you have ANY Gaurd or Barrier up your guard/barrier takes normal damage... then if it's enough to spill over the guard/barrier you take that amount rather than just 1.

For instance if you have a barrier up with 2000 health and take a hit for 2020 damage then your barrier eats the first 2000 and you take the remaining 20 (rather than just 1).  Obviously this makes the Mastercraft mat almost worthless unless your going to run your party without barrier.

I can't say for sure.  I just noticed I died a lot less when I stopped using the guard on hit.  I still seemed to get 1 shot from time to time (by time to time I mean every other fight).  Don't use this item.
