The infirmary upgrade is near Cassandra: they move the sick people from the tents and into a repaired little room.

Like, 1 ward. Not even a big ward.

True, but in my case after building the infirmary I still has sick people and tents near the front gates. I was expecting this to be cleaned up a bit.

I also wish Skyhold had more diversity in it's upgrades for both you and your castle.

Agreed. This part of the game is a big fail.

It's sad that Skyhold never gets properly cleaned up. There are a lot of improvements, sure, but there's also a lot of junk just lying around that just never seems to go away. How hard can it be to pick up those loose lying bricks and planks?

And the hole in Cullen's roof! Come on, the commander of my army needs a place to sleep where he won't get snowed on in bad weather!

Agreed. Underwhelming at best.

Upgrading the tower requires so much resources but in the end what you get is little more than a new rug.

Courtyard upgrade is only "cosmetic"? Really? The ONLY nice upgrade feature is the decor choices and thrones and banners and all that stuff. But it is all just "cosmetic". Nothing really matters. Not even a little.

Agreed, I worked hard to get the Garden Upgrade, hoping for a beauitiful courtyard with the gazebo and more planting areas...

instead its the same courtyard with 4 extra pots.... yay...

It was very jarring having a chat with Cassandra about courtship, and on the way to the balcony, seeing us walk through two sets of scaffolding.

I really wanted many MORE available upgrades, simply because it's fun to upgrade :D

I agree with everything you said, but I have another thing I would like to add.

We go round up all this stuff, take the time to break up the main story even more. It means exactly nothing. Yes it's visually pretty, but that should be a bonus.

Skyhold should have been attacked, there should have been a epic battle. The army at heaven should not have been taken out in a skiing accident.

The upgrades could have really mattered towards the plot in the game, but instead they were completely filler. It honestly felt like the Sims in that regard.

Since I wrote my post above, I was able to choose to upgrade the infirmary but so far I haven't found the upgrade. I'm hoping that the next time I leave and return to Skyhold, I'll see something better.

So much unused space there...there is room for everything, if they'd let us fix the place up.

You need to  visit the requisition officer in Skyhold (door next to Cass).  Click on the requisition table and see if you have a Skyhold improvement requisition.

The first thing I'd change, as a mage supporting character, I'd remove the templar banner from the floor to my quarters. What the hell is it doing there anyway?

Skyhold doesn't need upgrades, it needs a proper repair job first...

IKR? here you can "upgrade" all this but the rest is going to stay decript.. why? well why not!

only thing that was done right in my opinion *(on Skyhold)* was the freaking throne room after you can FINALLY put decorations, i put imperium decorations with the digital delux throne, and the avaar..akabar.. the leather drapes weith no sigils on them.

Where is this secret basement room? I can't figure out how to get there.  On my first game I found the quiz master in that walkway over the bridge that leaves Skyhold.

i called it hidden because that is how it was played off as from the information i could find, head towards Josiphene from the throne room, after entering the first door turn left and head on down.

In the freaking Shrine of Andraste (off the Garden), noone so much as picks up a fallen candlestick.

People go in there to pray all the damn time, surely one of them can pick up the candlestick?!

Only 3 major upgrades in skyhold and they are just visual candy, they do not have any impact on gameplay or story at all, so yes they are a bit disappointing not to mention that even after these upgrades there are still rooms/areas that are broken and full of rubble.

...What visual candy? I hardly notice a difference after I "upgrade" the garden and the courtyard. Never gotten around to upgrade the tower so I can't comment on that.

I miss ME2. In that game upgrading your Normandy really did have a repercussion.

The Skyhold upgrades were highly disappointing.

I will add that we need to be a bit realistic - I can completely see why they didn't give the advisors changes of clothes. But with regards to the Inquisitor's outfit in Skyhold - what the hell? DA:I has an incredibly good aesthetic when it comes to all the armors and outfits in the game, so looking at this ridiculously tight, monochrome grey mess of an outfit is puzzling. Who genuinely thought it looked good? Especially alongside Cullen and Leliana dressed to the nines and looking badass? Really?

They NEED to implement a quick fix to let you switch to wearing your normal armour in Skyhold, or even the formal attire you get at the ball, STAT. It genuinely makes my experience of the game worse - I avoid going back to Skyhold just so I won't have to see my character looking like an idiot. I know a lot of people feel the same way, and I would be shocked if you actually found people who actively LIKE the way it looks.

Yeah I would have liked to seen more upgrades and more progression. There were a number of empty rooms that looked damaged and unused. We should have been able to upgrade them and make them functional. Also, we should have been able to have multiple towers. I made a mage tower, but there were other towers going unused. Lots of potential that never got realized in Skyhold's upgrades.
