This is a pretty good post.  I'd say all of what you said is true...

And add in the fact that there's attraction in what you CAN'T have.  So since she's not an option people want her more.  Same with Vivienne.

People want to romance Vivienne?!  Dear God!

Agreed for the most part, although i think she will see one or both of those things in post game DLC content. rather then the next game, since it looks like DA:I lived up to it's desired sales, so we should get at least ME 2/3 and Orgins levels of DLC for this game,

The only thing that kind of blocks this is the fact that they've stated that there's not going to be any DLC companions or romances.  Unless, I guess, they do an expansion or "Mark of the Assassin" style DLC, in which case her romance and companion status would only be active in that DLC.  They need to hard code some of that onto the main game prior to shipping if they want to add in whole-game DLC companions and romances and they didn't do that this time around.

He said it only because he sees dwarfs as a children due to their body structure and thus he is disgusted from that idea. So it´s on ice only because of one subjective opinion which is only judging in-game race only by it looks.

Ugh.  No, this is not what happened.  He saw one scene in which the dwarf female looked particularly young and thought it seemed uncomfortable to him.  He's stated several times since that, while he is personally not interested in romancing dwarves (I think "Yuck" might have been used...... :(), he is not opposed to dwarf romances if it makes sense for a particular character in a future story.

I preferred Dagna for a dwarf romance.  She has all the things a dwarf man looks for.  A stubborn streak a mile wide, pig tails, dimples and back hair you could knit a sweater with.  Maybe if she had some mutton chops she'd be perfect.

I like her, she is neutral alignement neither for the good or bad for mages.

Neither she is for the templars or against.

She see the good and bad in both of them probably because she was threated right in the circle she grew up but she is not a naive woman.

I agree with her that cirlce magi should be special schools for mages but I can't tell her that mage shouldn't stay in them until their graduate without the possibility to see their family :( So I didn't encourage/support her.

In the contrary I dislike Sera because she doesn't really know the depth of her actions. She tell you hersellf, someone said X is bad so he should just die. I will boot her out of my quad if I dfound out that any of her requests were just to manipulate her toward me and she didn't cared to know the truth.

I'd romance Vivienne if it was a choice.

I would sooner wrap it in bacon and stick it in a piranha tank than Vivienne.

Odd.  I rarely talked to her because of her views, but she seemed extremely pro-status quo.  Which is why I can't stand her.  For mages that were in real circles, like Finn or Wynne, I disagree but understand and respect their choice of supporting the status quo.  But Vivienne has had nothing but a life of privilege, rubbing elbows with some of the most powerful (politically) people in Thedas and dining on caviar while mages in real circles were often kept in glorified concentration camps, constantly afraid for their lives or their very souls (rite of tranquility).  She has no right to judge them.  Her overall attitude on the matter just sickens me.

I also came into this thread expecting to find out Harding had a boyfriend or husband that was cut from the game. Glad to see that is not the case.

Thing is, if people were to mod the models I could see how some pervs would change it into something nasty...

Forget Harding.  What everybody really wants is Varric.  I will settle for some other dwarf romance though, if I have to.

Hmmm... Harding is practically set up for a post-Cory DLC romance. As long as they choose to keep moving the timeline forward (rather than be ambiguous about it, like MotA or Legacy) it could be a "long game" sort of scenario. Ie if you flirted with her properly in the base game you can unlock a romance with her in an expansion/ dlc.

I'm definitely going to get a Male Cadash going for this opportunity (and headcanon it if it never happens). Also, I'll finally have a Quizzy who won't be utterly repelled by the Reaver option, so I can get all specializations now! :)

They did cut her backstory though.  She was once Champion of Feralden but she was caught taking illegal lyrium and had all her titles taken away and demoted to scout where she would spend the rest of her days in foul, ghoul-infested boglands occassionally getting hit on by her gormless boss.

You mean hero.

Champion is a Free Marches/Kirkwall title

I have wanted a Dwarf romance of either sex since Origins.  my female Aeducan actually tried to romance Oghren ( though only after we had finished one of the main questlines, had to give him some time y'know?!)  And I was pretty sad when he wasn't, same for when I found out I couldn't romance Sigrit D:  I didn't get around to trying to romance Varric before I found out he was unromanceable b/c I played DA2 once when it came out and abandoned it cuz I was too disappointed from overly high expectations.

I don't know if they will actually not have any more companions.  Someone needs to replace the one that leaves don't they?  Honestly I think they meant they have no plans for DLC romance/companions, but with a full blown xpac they will add them (i.e. something that is only unlocked AFTER you finish the initial campaign, instead of being available during it like a DLC would be)

I suppose it's worth noting that just about every romance in these games are also the PC's subordinates. Shepard's situation is no different from this, or the Warden, to a small degree. Hawke is the only one that is technically free of this, because s/he is not running an organization and the companions are not obligated to do what s/he says.

Sure, but the power gap isn't nearly as wide for any of the LIs. Josie, Cass, and Cullen are all essentially right hands of the Inquisitor, even having more power than (s)he does in the first part of the game. Iron Bull, Solas, and Sera are all hardly affiliated with the Inquisition--they're there mostly for their own reasons and don't make a secret of it, don't really have a rank. Blackwall "is" a Grey Warden, highly respected title (or at least it was). Dorian is nobility.

There's a huge difference between any of them and a random scout actually serving officially in your military.
