News on their console sales was always pretty positive, so its not that surprising that one of three platforms didn't make up most sales.

Sorry where exactly are you getting this solid info ? All i could find is as follows

"Total number of sold copies on the PC platform is difficult to confirm because Steam doesn't publicly publish digital sales.[121] During this time, Skyrim was the most-played game on Steam by a huge margin, with double the number of players as Team Fortress 2, the second-placed game.[122] In the United Kingdom, Skyrim was the 9th best selling title of 2012.[123] In June 2013, Bethesda announced that over 20 million copies of the game had been sold.[124] In regards to sales on the PC, Todd Howard stated in an interview with Rock, Paper, Shotgun that “Skyrim did better than we’ve ever done on PC by a large, large number. And that’s where the mods are. That feeds the game for a long time."[125]"

Soo mind sharing your link ?

Actually, let's use yours, where it said 59% of sales was on xbox 360? I notice you snipped that part out of the post though. Why's that, shoot a hole in your theory or something?

During the first day of release, Steam showed over 230,000 people playing Skyrim concurrently.[116] After two days of the game's launch 3.4 million physical copies were sold of those sales, 59% were for the Xbox 360, 27% for the PS3, and 14% for the PC.[117] In the first week of release, Bethesda stated that 7 million copies of the game had been shipped to retailers worldwide, and that total sales through the following Wednesday were expected to generate an estimated US$450 million.[118][119] By December 16, 2011, this had risen to 10 million copies shipped to retail and around US$620 million.[120] Additionally, Valve stated that it was the fastest selling game to date on their Steam platform.[120] Steam's statistics page showed the client breaking a five million user record by having 5,012,468 users logged in January 2, 2012. Total number of sold copies on the PC platform is difficult to confirm because Steam doesn't publicly publish digital sales.[121] During this time, Skyrim was the most-played game on Steam by a huge margin, with double the number of players as Team Fortress 2, the second-placed game.[122] In the United Kingdom, Skyrim was the 9th best selling title of 2012.[123] In June 2013, Bethesda announced that over 20 million copies of the game had been sold.[124] In regards to sales on the PC, Todd Howard stated in an interview with Rock, Paper, Shotgun that “Skyrim did better than we’ve ever done on PC by a large, large number. So do you have actual sales numbers that state they sold that many copies due to modding, or are we just going to have to accept your hyperbole as evidence? Frankly, I'd much prefer the former, because the latter is, you know hyperbolic.

I just assumed everyone knew at this point, but ok. Mods kept Skyrim in the public eye, which is why it remained in the top 10 of top selling steam games for over a year. Every time someone posted a mod in a large community like reddit it would jump straight to the top of the charts again, even on systems without mods.

Most games sell the bulk of their units in the first month, Skyrim sold only 1/3!!! of their units in the first month. I could also talk about how mods made the series popular in the first place, but you get the point.

The first thing that comes to mind is MEHEM, so God no, never ever do that Bioware. ME3's ending might be atrocious, but MEHEM is just as terrible in its own way.

I don't get this argument.you are saying some mods are bad, therefore don't support modding. That's not very smart. There are other awesome mods that were made for Mass effect 3, (which isn't supported as far as I'm aware).

Bioware should look at least the hair mods because seriously, I think 20 hairstyles (not going to count the Qunari ones) which imo half of them are blah. the others are 'ok' and nothing really outstanding.

I'm not asking for fully custom hair, but I would like better choices. I understand that Thaidas has its know hairstyles but, I think they need to look at some midevil movies and look at the hairstyles they used. At least then it would feel less... blah. for me.

Also look into making it so the cheeks don't go though hair next time... kinda destracted me....

Also it seems DA:I caught the T-animation virus from Skyrim....

I submit that game sales rocketed due to Malukah. I don't have any figures to show causality of this, but it's a fact, I thought you knew.

See what I did there? I provided an argument with absolutely no supporting evidence other than "Because I said so". Seem familiar?
