Hey,

I play DA:I in Windowed mode and resolution 1280x1024 75.03 Hz. Unfortunately, if I maximize the window, left and right of the picture is cut largely, so that I miss parts of the scenery. Especially on the war table large parts are missing, so that I barely can click the missions in the west. If I minimize the window, I can see anything. I have changed to any other available resolution, hoping there would probably be black bars top and bottom with one, so that I don't have to play with minimized window, but nothing changes. That is really annoying.

 

Just realized, the loading screen has the black bars, but the game itself not.

I have just discovered Dragon Island (Storm Coast). There are the expected black bars when I use full screen (my screen has 1280 x 1024 btw). But now large parts on top and at bottom are missing. The complete part with the Inquisitors Symbol is cut, you only see a little bit of the marker if it is your controlled char, and the complete UI at the bottom is not shown. In this case I am actually forced to minimize the window. 

 

Would love to show screenshots but still haven't figured out how I can upload pictures to "my Media".

Since imgur didn't seem to want my subscription, I found an old account of mine from Photobucket.

It's not only with the wartable but with the area itself as well. This is just the best view to show the differences, especially since you can see that the left operation marks are almost cut off.

I have checked system settings with an EA pro, but we couldn't find a solution, yet. Everything is correct as far as he could tell. So I'll have to call EA Hotline for more technical support.

 

PC players out there, is there anyone else with 4:3 monitors who has the same problems with playing fullscreen? Please, give me a note. It would help a lot, if we could figure out if this is a problem only my husband and I have (we have similar PC configurations) or if this is a "more common" problem for 4:3 users. Thank you!

technically you have a 5:4 monitor.
