Dear Bioware: I would buy Platinum with real money if the uniques that dropped weren't mostly dust collectors.

I bought the best pack and its actually not worth it....
And it was quite funny because for the 50ish dollar pack, you unlock a more expensive pack....I thought it was hilarious...
Oh and nothing else....

All class specific rings have a name which corresponds to an ability
Dammit! I guess I'll salvage it then.

Don't.
Mats you get are useless anyway and they might add the ability later on with different classes.
Or they might even get some common sense and you will be able to upgrade items or something.
About the OP - I fully agree. I enjoy the game very much (over 150 hours now in single/multi) and I wouldn't mind throwing some more money to the developers because they deserve it. The loot system sucks the enjoyment out of the game though.

Yeah the rings are bizarre, they have names which have nothing to do with what they do in a fair number of cases. 'Yay! I got a ring of the fire brand! It will help my fire spells!' Description: provides a 30% cooldown bonus on all spells.

159 hours played, 15 uniques, already salvaged 4-5 more. About 3 of my uniques are actually useful. I got the same unique bow three times by the way.

How do you know how many hours you've played?
You check your hours on Origin. I'm assuming Cirvante played mostly MP. If you've played a combination of SP and MP I have no idea how you can separate the two though.

While I massively agree that the loot system is terrible, needs an overhaul and has no incentive to spend real money, I don't think people are considering their words correctly. There's been a lot of suggestion, in this thread and others like it, that the devs could very easily use to justify turning the cash shop into a P2W situation. I already bought the game, I paid my money, so I'm going to have to disagree that I ~want~ a reason to spend even more money in a cash shop to get items worth using. If we were talking about cosmetic things, I wouldn't care, but we're not. Just a bit of a forewarning there, in how things should be phrased. You'd only have yourselves to blame if they suddenly turn around and sell a chest of uniques for $20 a pop, considering what some are asking for.

Sounds good to me!
If they sell something I want at a price I'm willing to pay, I'll buy it. Same as any other economic transaction I enter into.
