Hear me out in this guys, and tell me your opinions.
If the game happens in the dragon age era, because of the power of the Inquisition there is no way to not feel the power of it, in all Thedas, mainly in the south. Only if the game is idk, 30-40 years after the events of Inquisition(in case almost all the main cast of the will be dead or be very old), will we have a new main character. Maybe if the game is located this time in the north part of Thedas, perharps too.
But i think after the well of sorrows stuff, even if the inquisitor don't drink it for it, he/she will be crucial to stop Solas/Flemeth or any other old god.
Plus i think it will be much easier for bioware to continue the story of the Inquisitor.
What you guys think?
The Inquisitor still will be the next main character in the next Dragon Age Game.

Doubt it since they have said it plenty of times that in DA series you will get to play new protagonist in each game, inquisitors story will most probably be finished with DLCs and after that it will be same as it was for Hawke/HOF(cameo,minor plot invlolment or even just few codex entries). Also another thing they said is that DAI is the last game that focuses on southern part of Thaedas so future games will take place in notheren regions(hopefully Tevinter-just personal preference).

I hope not. I like having a new main character every time.
My bet is that we're going north. Could be just as far as Nevarra or the Free Marches, where the Inquisition's influence could be felt without the Inquisitor actually being the main character, or further to Antiva, Rivain, Tevinter or even the Anderfells.

It will be a new protagonist. Seems to me each game tells an interconnecting story of Thedas and the Dragon Age, and each one centers on just the person the world needs at that time. The Warden was in the right place at the right time to be recruited and ended up almost singlehandedly ending the fifth Blight. Hawke was at the center of some of the most world changing events of that Age. The Inquisitor was the only person with the power to end the Breach/Rifts
Whether set 30 years from the end of Inquisition or 3 years from it's ending, it will be the story of another protagonist. I'm sure we will get codices and references in game to the 3 heroes, but it will still be someone else's story.
I'm hoping to see more exotic locales like Tevinter, Par Vollen, or Antiva for future games. As much as I love Alistair and his nation, really kind of sick of Ferelden.

See, you've already put into your own OP how they can make a game where the Inquisition has a lessened impact: set it in the north. I think Tevinter, personally.

This sums it up nicely. Though I doubt the inquisitor will be in any cameo role given they plan to go north for the next title.

I think they will to. I hope they keep the inquisitor for a while.
And just because they said they will have a new protagonist every new game does not mean they can't change their minds.

While it seems they will want to have a new protagonist. The ability to let the Inquisitor star in another game would be quite easy. It is entirely possible to think the Inquisition will want to expand it's reach farther north and deal with the conflicts up there also (along with things left unsettled in DA:I). The Qunari Vs Tevinter or Qunari vs all of Thedas conflict would be one of the central plot points imo, along with possible Nevarra vs Tevinter. The Grey Wardens in the Anderfels and inner politics in Tevinter could be sub plots as well.
They could also make that an expansion or have the new protagonist be a sort of "Inquisitor in the North" who runs the northern branch of the Inquisition while our Inquisitor from this game runs the southern branch. There are many ways to keep our inquisitor and the inquisition relevant and the star of a future game if that is what they want.

True, and if they were to change it on any protagonist it would definitely be the inquisitor. But they've already mentioned leaving ferelden/orlais in the next title. Doesn't mean we can't get an awakening style expansion for DAI however.

As much as I would have loved to stay with just one protagonist, it likely won't happen. I would love a full on expansion, however.

I have on numerous occasion said that I want to play as my warden again but that was out of the window, but why would they change their policy and continue with inquisitor instead.

Because, and bear with me on this, the inquisitor is better than the warden. There, I said it.

I think it will be a new hero. It will be set in the north and not in Orlais or Ferelden. My guess on the content is based on something I did last night in the game where I threw the Wardens out of Orlais. They'll be needing redemption and their story might continue in their exile to the north.

They've made it clear that continuity is a bad thing <tm> and you should feel bad for wanting it.
We'll be getting a new protagonist.

I hope Ferelden is out. Three games and one expansion pack has featured Ferelden, so far. Somewhere new would be nice.

No, they will royally ****** in everyone's Cheerios by making the inquisitor the bad guy being controlled by flemeth or being tricked by the dread wolf.
first thing i thought was how power corrupts and complete power corrupts completely.

Gaider has said that the next couple of dragon age games would take place in northern thedas, with the most common rumor being that we are going to Tevinter

As it's been stated already, I believe they'll finish up some things involving the Inquisitor through story DLC. There's still the matter of red lyrium; just because Cory was defeated doesn't mean it disappeared. The one thing that explicitly stuck out in the end tiles was the Wardens going silent. Perhaps we will be investigating what happened with more cameos/interactions with Hawke/Stroud/Alistair?
Expecting a lot of DLC could be incorrect, however, which is why I think the ending tiles were so sparse--to show a certain non-committal attitude toward future DLC. EA has shafted Bioware's development before. They were planning to have more DLC for DA:O and DA2, but EA cut them off and told them to make the next games.
Bioware has said they want new protagonists in each Dragon Age title, which is a shame because I really did love my Inquisitor. No matter how far north the next game takes us, I expect the Inquisition and Inquisitor to get referenced. Most likely not a cameo appearance, but the influence of the Inquisition will still probably be felt even if it is a minor part of the story. I'm curious about side character and companion cameos. If it's based in Tevinter, we might actually see Dorian again.
