Well if it is Tevinter, Dorian did say he wanted to go back up north to help set things right, but if you romanced him in this game... Might not be able to do the same in next if he is in the next one lol. Cause pretty sure they said ingame the inquisition couldn't end right after the danger and josephine said several times that after the danger they will have to try to keep their power. Plus I wanted more decisions D:
The Inquisitor still will be the next main character in the next Dragon Age Game.

I suspect the Solas/Flemmeth storyline will likely be resolved by a DLC rather then a full blown sequel. If you see what has been said by Bioware, they are still not sure about another sequel but have confirmed at least two DLC.
I suspect one DLC will focus on the Solas/Flemmeth situation. Especially given I think Verrick says at one point that "friends make the worst enemies". Solas is either possessed by Mythal or else drained her power to make himself stronger.
The Elves were shown as broken and defeated. When exploring places there seemed to be a lot of questions left about the elvin people. I suspect what will happen is that Solas will make an attempt to become a god so he can restore the people to their rightful place and allow them to be immortal again.
We spent a LOT of time in Inquisition talking about the Golden/Black city yet never really got to see it. We also didnt go into the fade more then once. I can see a story about Solas finally taking us there.
I think a second one could focus on what has happened with the Grey Wardens and their fortress in Weisshaupt will be the scene of another DLC. I suspect this would be a slightly smaller DLC then the one involving Solas. So I anticipate Weisshaupt being the first DLC followed by Solas(Dread Wolf).
I strongly suspect the next game will be in Tevinter, if you noticed doing operations you had the oppertunity to make a LOT of decisions which would affect Tevinter. I believe it will be a new character, in Tevinter, affected by what the Inquisition has done. In fact the rise of the Inquisition would create a LOT of fear in Tevinter. They would look south a fear another Exalted March. Plus they have an ongoing conflict with the Quinari. Add to that that they had a lot of high profile Magisters side with a crazy would be god. Their religious beliefs may be undermined, and there is clearly a desire for a return to power among many in Tevinter. All of this creates an oppertunity for a truly epic game that would include a lot of the elements from Inquisition, like politics, strategy, controlling a larger movement. Dorian talked about starting a reform movement in Tevinter, and its very possible you could end up leading such a movement, to seize control over the Tevinter Imperium.

As much as I like the idea of having a new protagonist each game, it's getting really tiresome to do the whole origin story song and dance every time. I'd actually welcome another game with my Inquisitor, especially since it felt like their plot was kind of half-baked. They need to tie up all of the loose ends with Solas, Flemeth, and the anchor before they move on to somebody else. Confronting Solas with a new protagonist would be such a kick in the teeth because to that new protagonist he's just some bald elf dude, not your companion/love interest. It'd make no thematic sense.

I'm inclined to agree with you. The Inquisitor and the Inquisition as a whole seems way too invested in Solas to have his story get moved into the next installment with an entirely different protagonist. But, I picture the DLC having to be more of a full blown expansion length to finish up Solas and the elven history story. On second thought, perhaps carrying over Solas's story into the next game would work, especially if it's set in Tevinter. After the revelations of Tevinter not overthrowing and crumbling Elven society...
I dunno, it just seems like it would be too much to cover in a DLC.
The Wardens and their situation, on other hand, would do nicely.
Anyway, I thought Bioware actually said that this wouldn't be the last Dragon Age game. If things are wrapped up with DLC, though, and there is a next game, I'm curious who the antagonist will be. It would have to be a clean slate villain because Cory and Solas were so heavily involved and will possibly be dealt with in this.

end of inquisitor story will happen with a console only extension (yeah no PC version please BW keep your shitty port !)
DA 4 will be an MMO "rpg" on x1 & Ps4 with fake open world and lots of loading times.
Yeah Dragon Age series is not going to go better sorry guys !

I wont be surprised if we end up in Tevinter we've had two companions (Fenris and Dorian) to show the bad and the potential but perhaps they'll ease us into it by starting us in a Nevarra boarder town with a lot of Tevinter factors in the game, an outsider rather than a citizen of the land of slavers and blood mages.
DA heroes don't carry over and I like it that way.

I would rather get a full clean slate of characters than keep bring back PC's and NPC's from previous titles. If it is in Tevinter then I could see a return of Dorian but other than that leave everyone else behind. Really this shouldn't be that hard to do since Flemeth has been shown to take her time so waiting 25-100 years shouldn't be that hard for her.

I doubt the next game will feature the Inquisitor as the protag. Heres to hoping that Bioware does some serious expansions though!

I personally hope that the next Dragon Age sticks to the Inquisition for a few reasons.
1. I'm getting sick of starting over all the time. The whole rise to power thing is fun and all, but it is starting to get old after three games. Especially considering that your rise to power is usually not that big of a deal after a couple of years. Bioware should really just stick to what they have unless they are planning on changing up their formula.
2. Inquisition had too many loose ends. This isn't really that bad of a thing... if they plan on tying up those loose ends properly. A DLC is not going to be enough to tie up what happens at the end.
3. I really just want to finish up my job of fixing Thedas.
4. I liked my Inquisitor. Almost as much as I like my Warden. Please don't take him away from me ![]()
5. I thought that my Inquisitors voice actor was pretty good.
Now here's my list for why we will not be the Inquisitor in the next game.
1. It's easier for new players to get into the games if they just start over. It's kinda like Elder Scrolls in that way. New players = more $$$ = More games.

Yeah, Awakening (or bigger) sized expac(s) would be cool to see.

Count me among those who are not interested in seeing the Inquisitor be the PC in the next game. Dragon Age is Thedas' story, not one character. That's been their approach from the beginning. The less they try to restrict the PC options, the better the game will be. Give us a new PC, allow us to choose their race and gender, and relegate the Inquisitor to a support role.

If they do another game i think they will do a MMO, so no continuation for this character i think.

Finish up the story in an expansion and jump forwards 50 years and into Tevinter or Antiva. There is so much more out there and we've been hanging around in the same locations with the same characters for three games now.

No need for a time jump. The major consequences of Inquisition are relatively confined to the south. We just need to head north. I'm forseeing a Rivain-Antiva based game in the future, with occasional jaunts into Tevinter. Alternatively, the Anderfels.Finish up the story in an expansion and jump forwards 50 years and into Tevinter or Antiva. Hopefully the next game will feature a new protagonist facing new challenges rather than an inquisitor with a load of history to tie him down and some contrived explanation for how, despite ending up the head of the powerful inquisition at the end of DA:3, you are now in a situation where you have to strive from against great odds starting at a lowly level of power in DA:4.
Continue the inquisitor's story in DLC if felt needed, then relegate the inquisitor to the history books and move on.

Won't happen.
Inquisitor's story may continue through DLC, but if there is a new game it will most likely feature a new protagonist.

Absolutely. the whole Bioware formula is getting too formulaic now. Not another new cast, and group to build please!

I expect serveral DLCs or a expansion like Awakening, but i doubt the Inquisitor will stay main character in the next DA, if there will be ever be another DA at all.
The next game will be about a hero named falcone who escaped the Mage Templar war in the hinterlands with his family. He moves to trevinter and starts a war with the magisters and the slaves.
I see what you did there ![]()

Gaider has said that the next couple of dragon age games would take place in northern thedas, with the most common rumor being that we are going to Tevinter
With so much story/plot involving Tevinter magic, olitics, information etc that seems realistic. Especially because through Dorian and his associates we learn that Tevinter is no realm of stereotypical pure evil, as you could easily think after the forst two games, but also has good people living there. Important set-up for a future game I'd say
And yes, give us a nice big Addon with the Quizzy, and a new game and new protagonist after that. Though I really don't care much aboutthe Tevinter/Qunari-conflict, maybe only as some kind of background like the mage/templar conflict. The focus should again be on the Darkspawn imho ... and Tevinter would be a nice place to shed some light on that matter

Hmm I think it's likely that we see a new protagonist, but Inquisition feels more like a beginning in many ways rather than an end. Maybe a substantial expansion can wrap things up properly.

Given where it seems likely the game is heading next north, and the inquestion reach is more southern. Doubt it, we will be playing a new char, most likely that will set up some sort of northern power base, but doubt that will be all there is a lot of loose ends up north now.
