Welcome to the Garrus Love and Adoration thread, where you can feel free to voice your love (and adoration and general appreciation) for Garrus! I try to keep this OP updated on a daily-basis, so keep checking back for more Garrus Goodies! Also, don't be afraid, we don't bite. :3 We welcome any and all discussion regarding Garrus and Turians in general. If you're looking for the spoiler-free thread, that would be here (please keep in mind I am no longer updating the old Garrus thread).

I think I mentioned this in another thread, but I really love Garrus as an example of the difference between Renegade and Evil. He's like the ideal of the compassionate renegade -- going in hot to take down the guys threatening Dr. Michel, for example. He wants to help people, wants to stop the big bad guy and save the galaxy and protect the innocent, and he doesn't have time for rules and regulations that slow him down.

ME3 Wishlist:

*Make the Garrus Romance NOT a fling, but an actual relationship that carries over into ME3, even if there are consequences (such as prejudice, or perhaps you cheated on your ME1 interest).

*Have Garrus return as a full-on squad-member. Don't write him out/sideline him as a cameo.

*More inter-squad interactions and more reactions of NPC's to the romance (as well as options to defend the romance) as well as special reactions from Garrus if he's in the squad/present at that time.

*Let us meet with Garrus' father/family. A "guess who's coming to dinner" type of situation, or something similar, where you break the news and can defend your relationship, if it comes to that, from Garrus' father (considering what Garrus told us about him in ME1).

*Give Garrus (and other alien/"non-leading character romances") more prominent roles in the main story, such as in cut-scenes where appropriate. For example: "After you complete the mission into the Collector ship and it's
discovered that the Illusive Man purposefully mislead you, Shepard announces that she's got to speak to the crew...which apparently consists only of Miranda, Jacob, and Mordin. Where's everybody else?" Not including him made him feel less significant than the "leading romances" that were Miranda and Jacob, and it would be nice if he was a more equal-seeming romance option.

*When you romance a squadmate, have their ingame behaviors change slightly when interacting with Shepard during battle/cutscenes to reflect the change in relationship (for example: looks, caresses, or different lines that imply the change).

*Give Garrus (and other squadmates) more lines! There was a huge gap where he had nothing new to say to Shepard, and that was a perfect opportunity to delve more into his backstory/personality and side-info about the turians in general, but it was wasted on him "calibrating the ship's batteries." I understand there are limitations to how many lines you can give a character, but it was a very big gap and lost opportunity.

*Let us visit Garrus' old stomping ground, Palaven.

*Let us be able to choose and develop deep relationships with the characters (and let them be uniquely developed, no matter if it's as a friendship, a romance, or a bromance) and have the PC/NPC behaviors and dialogue fully reflect that type of relationship choice.

Garrus Banners/Buttons/Stamps/Etc

How to implement a sig banner:
1. Select "Forum Settings" at either the top of the forum on the "Jump to" navigation bar, or by going to the menu on the left, beneath the profile photo, and scrolling over "Profile" and then selecting "Forum Settings" from the pop-out menu.
2. To find the image url, right click the image you want and select "copy image location" and then paste into the following tags. OR you can choose to right-click the image and select "Properties" from the menu. If you select "Properties" the image properties box will open. Copy the image's url location. This is the image url you will place between the tags.
3. Insert [img.]*image url*[/img.] (remove the periods in the tags)
4. If you want to link the image to a page: Insert [url.=*page url*][img.]*image url*[/img.][/url.] (again, remove the periods)
