@ tmp7704: Garrus putting his hand on Shepard's shoulder sounds adorable. That'll make her feel better about handing over the Collector base to the Illusive Man. (I know my Shepard would have some doubts about that, even if she thinks it's for the best.)
... i still prefer my interpretation, though
Passing an explosive charge, reassuring pat on the shoulder, what's the difference?
Garrus offering valuable input, and support.

The question here is, is that thirty-thirty or turian-thirty, and is there a difference? D8 Come on, BioWare! We need facts!Ms Cherissa wrote...
Eh, dunno. I think he's older, actually, given that Papa Vakarian pushed him to be an absolutely normal Turian, which means military service from 15-30.
Please tell me that is a joke.Umanix wrote...

Garrus Vakarian was actually on the ground when the Virmire nuke went off. He later complained things felt too drafty.

And great Garrus facts at the bottom of the last page, too.
Umm . . . Yeah, not much to say at the moment.
Edit: BAH, MY PRETTY SUPPORT SHIRTLESS GARRUS SIG ISN'T WORKING! HOW DO I MAKE IT WORK?
Re-edit: FIXED.

They're the same thing. Turians have roughly the same lifespan as humans.

@Prolefeed: For serious? That's good at least, none of those awkward life-span issues like Human-Asari relationships.

Pretty sure that was Tali passing the explosive.

His dad might have pushed for him to be normal, but I find it hard to apply the "normal" category where Garrus is concerned, given his "I'm not a good turian " speech. Plus, he specifically talks about leaving the military, which leads me to think that he probably left before standard service was up and spent a couple years in C-sec before getting pissed and leaving with Shepard.

... bloody camera cut there and half the aliens in universe sharing the three finger hands and the chicken feet. You're right, now i'm not sure if the person who hands it is random (i could swear it was Garrus the first time i played it) or if i simply made the same mistake twice.MarginalBeast wrote...

Regarding hypothetical Garrus/Shep convos, I would love to hear Garrus comment further on Shep's hair, too, since humans seem to be the only species in ME to have it. I wonder if he'd fondle it when she's sleeping? ...and that just went somewhere horrible.

FemShep: Zzz... *snort* ...Garrus, what are you doing?
Garrus: ...nothing
FemShep: Were you fondling my hair?
Garrus: What? It looks nice

I have a scenario in my head where Garrus is trying to comprehend how humans have no sensory perception in their hair. I imagine him gently squeezing the ends going "Can you feel me now? How 'bout now? Now?". I wonder if the same can be said for a turian's fringe - are the edges hardened and thus less sensitive to touch?
Edit: @Gerse1 - I must admit that when the devs confirmed that drells were based more off of reptiles than fish I was a bit...er, would "turned on" be an appropriate phrase to say?...at the thought of what his skin might feel like. If you've ever held a snake before it's quite a sensual experience. Ahem.

Exactly! I just don't get how humans are the only ones.Gerse1 wrote...
That is true. There don't seem to be many other species whose appearances are based on mammals (unless you count the general humanoid look). There's a lot of reptile/amphibian/bird/insect features. I'm not sure what the asari are...cross between a human and a....mollusk? lol. Just because of the tentacles. And I always imagine their blue skin feeling somewhat like a dolphin's for some reason. Which are mammals...but not hairy. Not as soft or warm as a human. I don't even know *what* to think about batarians. So yeah you'd think with all this convergent evolution going on in the universe someone else would have hair....or fur EVERYWHERE (wookies!..maybe the volus are furry, you never know!)
lol@ Volus being furry. Gah, it's probably all matted from the suit, though. ::shudder:: Quarians would be the same if they had hair. Sorry Talimancers, but I doubt she has soft, luscious locks waiting to be sprung forth from her helmet.

Since they're supposed to have this metallic shielding perhaps it's less sensitive to touch in general?Tootles FTW wrote...

Sounds like the next project for the science -- verify Turian sensitivity to various types of touch.

Garrus did indicate he has at least some feeling in his face from where he was injured, but I'm not sure if that's from injury to the plates or injury to the skin beneath the plates.

I actually asked about this the other day, and a lot of the Talimancers seem to think hair is unlikely or impractical. (There's still Tali fanart with long, flowing hair though.) But there's nothing definitive on that for Quarians. Volus would have matted hair, but unlike the Quarians they can actually leave their suits on their homeworld. (It's possible that Volus are naturally hairy, but have laser hair removal or something if they expect to be off-world.)
Which is why Miranda has the best hair of any LI. She does lack Garrus's Turian-ness, though.
