It wasn't so much the blending in that bothered me as the clashing. Blue, gray AND yellow? Gaaaah, hideous.

However bad his taste in clothing, his taste in armor makes up for it. Blue and black, totally awesome-looking. And I agree with Umanix, it was very appropriate for him to be out of the armor.

Just out of curiosity, who do you pair off and if you weren't into Garrus... who *would* you pair him with?

IMHO, I think Garrus and Samara would have some interesting conversations about vigilantism and Garrus would probably question the Justicar code to some extent. That, and she'd probably give him a few tips about what's 'necessary' violence and 'unnecessary' violence.

Hmmmm.. Good question. He's most biologically compatible with Tali, Samara or Liara, but I don't see any of those happening at all (Tali's too sweet, Liara's too, eh, sweet and bookish? Samara too unwilling to bend.. come on, she would totally kill him for some of the things he's done).

Honestly the closest I can think is Ashley or Jack (Ashley because she's similar to Shepard, Jack because she's got the badass requirement), but Ashley's just not the alien-dating type. Jack and Garrus would probably be the most likely, if she could open up and he could reign in her crazy. I think he knows a bit about hiding your feelings behind a tough exterior.

But I just don't see him with any of them, honestly. Maybe it's just bias clouding my mind because I want him all for my FemShep. xD

And I think his clothes are probably fine by his species' standards. Also, love the color scheme. Blue and yellow indeed. I would have felt weird if he showed up wearing his armor. I like that he switches to casual clothes when its cuddletime with Shepard. I mean, the other LIs had clothes that were comfortable without changing, or couldn't take off their clothes, or were practically naked anyway. So the removal of his armor and a casual attire makes sense to me!

As much as I'd support giving my monies to Brandon Keener voice work for a fan-created Garrus-centric project, if I'm spending that much I'd like to shove it BioWare/EA's way for a Mass Effect MMO, or moddable-to-campaign-specific game (like is being done with DA:O in some places).

Personally, I'm against MMO's. For the amount that is spent on them, I could double my bandwidth - which I'd need to do anyway to play the game for more than three days. Hm, seems to me your experience with MMOs (or maybe just MMO players?) is not so encouraging. The newer (3+ years or so) trend in MMOs is to encourage comfortable solo play rather than force grouping (that old trend made me stay the Hell AWAY from the FF MMO, for example).  And honestly, for the balanced MMO player, the game should not take up any more time than any other healthy hobby. 

That said, I did once do an intervention on a good friend who was playing too much EQ. (The short version of that horror story is that a bunch of us dragged said friend - and EVERY STITCH OF CLOTHING HE OWNED, we put him in a borrowed houserobe - over to one house to detox him from EQ and make him get cleaned up. He got better.)

And another friend of mine, I had to drag away from a chat-based RPG she spent too much time on - "too much time" meaning she had a promising career as more than just a focus-puller, and ended up just doing short music videos and car commercials instead of the movies the rest of us were doing.

I guess it comes down to 'all things in moderation, except Garrus Vakarian'.

I think a MMO of ME will ruin the univers. There will be too many idiots running amuck and annoying the hell out of you just to show who's 1337. And I don't even want to start on the nicknames the players choose, with loads of X and S and many variations of different names because that specific one was taken. 
Imagine a xXLegolasXx or Dirtzzzz.
ME should remain a trilogy as a game and nothing more. Bioshock was ruined after they launched a second one and not many were happy about it.

As far as your point about ruining the universe - (obviously?) I disagree. I think being able to play in the incredibly deep universe would encourage actual RP. As far as names go, yeah, there's always some 1D10T with the mucked up name. I tend to consider such names as a warning to me that these are the people I should probably avoid.

It seems there is a lot of Kaidan hate here.  I wasn't excited over him going into ME1, but he totally won me over to the point where (until Garrus as a LI was revealed) I was determined to stay faithful to him in my main FemShep playthrough.  Of course, what with ME2 and the utterly craptastic LI that is Jacob (who is constantly compared to a "less bland" Kaidan) I am starting to wonder if I simply fell for Kaidan because I didn't have an alternative male option.  

I'll try to get a better tongue pic for everyone soon.  If you head to Omega to the entrance of Mordin's section (the apartments), you can swivel your camera into the head of the purple-clothed turian there and get a nice view of his tongue.

Try removing everything from your post (copy what you want to save before that) and then save the edit. Leave it for a bit and we'll see if the social site edits it out.  (When you go to edit it, try swapping to "BBCode" mode as well to see if there is any hidden code that needs to be deleted as well.)
