You'd probably have to modify gloves for three digits (two fingers in each "digit" then one for the thumb) and then have it modified with "talons/claws" at the ends.
Pshh, what sort of FX gal do you think I am? Still using shoe polish as temp hair dye?("Do not ask about her Dark Willow costume" - Tali voice)
No no, that's all obvious. Appearance is easy, function is hard. Maximum manual dexterity for the duration of the convention will be needed.
GRAH, I've tried to say this five times and my computer keeps refreshing the page right when I'm about to finish!
Since Turians seem to have elongated limbs, compared to humans, you could feasibly make the Turian's arm extend beyond your own so the hands aren't actually your hands . . . if that makes sense. Depending on how long you made the arms, your actual fingers could end at the costume's wrist, or in the palm of the Turian hand. If you wore gloves to match the armor/skin tone and rounded out the area would hands would be in so your hands were flush with the costume, it wouldn't be very noticeable. Then you could make it so the costume's hands fold back, on a hinge or some-such, for when you need to write/eat/whatever.
. . . I don't know if I explained that well, but I helped make a costume with something similar going on for an Odyssey of the Mind challenge once. (which, btw, if any of you have kids, you should totally sign them up for. Best way to teach a child problem-solving ability.)

That's it, next time I go home for the weekend, the first thing I'm doing is hitting up G-Chat on my nice un-ports-blocked internet, and seeing how you guys have way too much fun.

Is that possible? Doesn't everyone like poems? Not necessarily all poems, but there have to be some!!
I wonder if Turians have poetry . . .

Yep, this is very much what I'm leaning towards at this time. And no, no kids - I leave that to others. Don't get me wrong, I like kids well enough - someone is gonna have to serve me when I'm an evil overlord who takes over the world.

Yap. When my femShep romanced him and broke up later, informing him of course about Garrus, Jacob was like:
"THIS CUTTLEBONE!!!". - actual line. With a tone of voice suggesting FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU meme.

I think Siltsonata made that as the original plushy, then remade a newer version (the one linked in the OP). I could be mistaken, but that's what I recall off the top of my head.
It's in the OP? Damnit, why am I not reading through your bible more often...
Hee, LittleGarrus isn't really garrus now, he's just GenericTurianInBlueArmor, since he has no tattoos and now no scanner. (I salvaged it for Garrus v. 2.Badass)
Garrus v. 2.Baddass (the one with the link on the OP) has no good picture, but I'll get one up on my DA by monday. (He's so much cuter in person, it's a pity my camera sucks as much as it does.
I'm thinking about making another Garrus with his non-loyalty armor, too. (Can't draw, can't write, can't take screenies...I feel useless! I must contribute somehow!)

It takes a strong person to resist a Turian's voice, especially combined with the levels of badass of Garrus.Ms Cherissa wrote...
*Raising a hand re: furries* The phrase that matters here is 'consenting adults'. Talking up sweet sweet luvvin' in regards to fictional beings is fine, creating and wearing schmexy outfits (by whatever definition of schmexy) is fine. Psychiatrists say having a healthy fantasy life is good for us, as long as it doesn't bleed over to real life to a point of interfering with day to day function.
What I've noticed from vanilla folks is that most of them are only seriously skeeved out by the notion of non-consensual interaction, ie with children, real animals. Putting on a fur suit is largely seen as no different than putting on a bedroom-friendly cop uniform or French maid outfit.
Do I consider myself a furry? No, not really... but I thought Peloquin in "Nightbreed" was hawt. ...and I find Batman Garrus hawt. Is it the voice thing? Maybe it's the voice thing.
TBH I don't think Garrus or Turians are attractive in a sexual sense. Not for me. But the character is so compelling and well-written, the whole idea of forbidden love is just very appealing. One of the best romances in games.
woah, lots to catch up on. This thread is starting to grow more quickly.
Same here, I don't really find turians that physically attractive (cool and badass looking? yes. do I get excited when I see a new turian NPC? yes, but only because I know he will have good line and a great voice)(but I assume my Shep does see more to them than just a "cool" factor[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie])... For Garrus it's 100% the personality, voice, actions, his relationship with Shep...like someone said earlier in here, he's the best LI because he wasn't written as an LI and therefore they have a deeper and more subtle relationship. Besides, *I'm* not the one that has to worry about chafing, she is

Perhaps I'm just stupid, but what the heck kind of insult is cuttlebone? Haha. Maybe someone needs to Youtube it or something so I can understand a little bit more about why it seems so offensive. I guess it's all in the delivery?

It's not about what he said, but how he said it. In a true you-gotta-be-kidding-me mucho hurt-pride syndrome style.

To 'unlock' the line all we need to do is romance both and drop Jacob in the end, yes? If so I'm totally going to do this right now

True. We could probably double this thread's size if we didn't have G-Chat to offload the spam and general discussion.
Please note: This is not a complaint on my part. I <3 G-Chat. XD
ALSO: We need someone to record a "Jacob dumped for Garrus" video. I want to see this.

Turians are technically avian. Birds sharpen their beaks on cuttlebones. I can see it as being a racial slur.
