Aris, could you hop onto ICQ? I had a question to ask you and I can't figure out if this screwy board software has a PM feature.

Wow, the Talimancers must all be away. For future reference, the PM feature is on the sidebar where it says 'messages'.Randy1083 wrote...
Garrus is currently winning that character poll with 59 votes (I was #56). Tali is in second place with 53. Go Garrus go!

Winning these polls is more a matter of finding them then anything. I even saw a poll where Kaiden Alenko was beating Tali, which I never expected to see. (And shocked me more then the poll where the Space Hamster was beating Miranda and Jack for "ME2 LI". Miranda fortunately surged ahead when I put the poll on the Miranda thread.)

That's true, and unfortunate.

Seriously. And not just individuals looking to impress people, I've heard of actual corporations using designs stolen from devart and making money off of them (usually by buying designs from 'freelance artists' that steal). That's terrifying. D8Nyaore wrote...

Maybe I'm alone on this but I'd really love for Shepard to be able to call Garrus "Archangel" in ME3 just to tease him. His reaction would probably be adorable.
You know, clearly he didn't mind it *too* much, since he customized his armor with an archangel logo...

First of all, I am super-excited to see your finished drawing
But regarding deviantART... I didn't know theft was such a bad problem there, but I'm curious how/why it would be worse there than just...anyplace one's work is hosted on the internet? Just seems like as long as right-click-save is an option, and the thief has the capability to photoshop out your signature if there is one, that one's art would be vulnerable almost anywhere. Just curious because I've been thinking about starting an account there...

Nahhhhh. You don't suck as an artist. I do. Of course, I don't really call myself an artist, just a doodler. So... I guess I'm an Ok doodler and a sucky artist. Ha ha.

You mean the gold "eagle" patch with gold bars on his arm? I've seen that or one like it on a lot of jackets IRL, can't place where it comes from.

It's really just about convenience. Art thieves hang out in deviantart because it's easier to find quality art with whatever specifications they need than to google for portfolio sites.Gerse1 wrote...

One thing about art theft on dA is that it predominately happens to a few core types of submissions, while the rest are generally ignored. For example anime style art is usually what most of the 'attention-seeking' thieves go after, at least in my experience in dealing with them, particularily if it's art of a popular series. I can't tell you many art thieves I came across stealing popular Naruto fanart or 'cat-girl' pictures for that matter. However, if you don't submit anything that falls into the niches that artthieves usually go after you generally have nothing to worry about.
Don't get me wrong, I love dA to death but the amount of art theft that goes on there leaves me sick to my stomach at times.

I'm just one of those highly critical artists who always gets a case of the green eyes. So sue me. XP
Anyhow, not necessarily working on something Garrus related ATM -aside from the aforementioned Maximum Risky- as I've got this Mordin-related picture I've been dying to do -it's quite delicious, even- but I'll try to get some sort of general Garrus art done eventually.

Oh, I know. I'm sure he secretly loves the fact that people gave him a vigilante name, but I don't think he'd ever admit it. And he seems pretty flustered when he tells Shepard to just call him Garrus.
