Mhmm yes. Could see it play out like this between these two. In fact, this route would be... preferable.

Now this isn't really related but that mention earlier about people picking the paragon route to keep Garrus from "falling to dark path" (a blah notion but anyway) and also the fact he's been in favour of keeping the Collectors base, and then few other things ... just makes me wonder now if BioWare could be gutsy/cruel enough to pit Shepard against the LI in ME3, over different concepts how to stop the Reapers or something equally crucial. The Wrex conflict thing cranked up to 11, sort of. But then maybe i just like drama too much.

Yeah I didnt mean Hackett specifically, I mean more of a reaction to it in general. It was a pretty epic speech, ya know? It'd have been nice to see at least someone cared

It couldn't have been more epic unless they had "Battle Hymn of the Republic" playing in the background. Ha ha.

Off-topic...but did anyone else wish they'd played Taps while you did the Normandy Crash Site...I actually found it and turned it on to override the existing music. >_>

I think it would have been really powerful if they had played as you were leaving, or during a scene as you put up the monument. Maybe not playing the whole time, but at some point, yes, that would have been very fitting.

Indeed.  Most people dismiss it as "free exp" and a "fetch quest".  For whatever reason, it felt like a LOT more.  Especially when I found Pressley's datapad.  I found myself wondering if that was the same pad he was typing on when he died.  I admit, a few tears were shed over that.

Oooh, I'm curious.  Can't check it out right now because I'm in class, but I'll look at it.

Most of my Garrus songs are 100% for the lulz, because frankly my music is all a little dorky and I feel like Garrus would hate almost every song in my library. Hard to take it seriously when I imagine him covering his hears.

Right now, pretty much every song I hear reminds me of Garrus. Maybe it's because he's on my mind all day long.

Hehe, if we're getting into a "what sucks about the Batman comics lately" discussion we shall be here all day.  I mean...Damian?  Really?  And now he's the new Robin??  REALLY??

Also, great points about whether Turians acknowledge love...but really, when I see a sentient, reasoning life form it's hard for me to wrap my brain around them not being able to comprehend a relatively primal emotion.  If a species procreates then some form of love/lust must exist, no?  Unless you're the borg, and then I don't wanna know... 
But turians simply don't strike me as an emotionally restrained culture; I understand the theory behind the Hierarchy, but I don't think the self-sacrifice of one's emotions is included in that ideal.  And as we all know, Garrus is nothing if not led by his emotions - his heart and his rage are kept on his well-armored sleeve.

Edit: I don't know if this was mentioned (I have several pages to catch up on) but you also hear at least two mentions of turians in ME2 talking about their "mate".  The one I can remember off the top of my head is at Omega where he mentions something along the lines of "I have a mate and I have a ship, and I only brought one of them with me".  I took mate, basically, to equate as the turian version of wife/husband.
