Better be a squad mate. I need my snipping buddy to tag along with me. Favorite thing about having Garrus with either Thane or Legion with me... so much fun having a group of snipers on a mission.

That and his commentary... come on... and the voice. Ahh... the voice...

Love that Bud Light commercial... the worshipers of the 'magic fridge' make me think of my friends. And having Garrus's voice a part of that... beautiful...

Lol, 60 pages behind the Tali thread. maybe if we started a "Save Garrus" thread to show general support for Garrus, we'd also get the same response. This thread is more dedicated to our love of the character. Unless the save Tali thread is also her love thread. Then that's different. ill try posting on here more often, especially this weekend.



I think we should also start posting important snippets from the Garrus chats in here, so that people who don't access Facebook can at least respond to some of the topics raised, even if they may be . . . niche in nature. Remember, it's on the forums where it counts most, so the more we post here, the better.

He did ask for it though... shooting concussion shots at you because 'you were taking your sweet time.'

And you could be checking your aim. You're just paying attention to something other than the enemy and accidentally pulling the trigger because your mind was elsewhere...  

Man... I can't wait for ME3 now... i want to see what happens with the Garrus romance. It better be good. <_<

We chat about a lot of things, from wild-crazy Garrus-related hotness to ME2 and videogames in general to music to...well, basically, we just chat. ;p And it often gets crazy. *nods* We try to keep the scar-inducing conversations there...it's definitely not safe for "young ears"...but it's all good fun.   This thread is for tamer Garrus conversation.

Seriously though, it's good to know I'm not alone.  Not that I minded being amongst women, but it's always a bit odd to feel like the "odd-man out", ya know?  And like you, I'm willing to love Garrus via proxy (my FemShep, Emily) rather than take nothing at all.

I'm also gay and am fairly active on here, though less so right now because life and responsibility to my students keeps getting in the way.  I do wonder how Garrus might react to an advance made by MaleShep.  I don't know if he'd shy away from it, but I think he'd be less "vocal" than he is with FemShep.  Maybe Brokeback Mountain has created too much of a mental impression on me, but I see it as being a sudden, rough, yet lovingly passionate moment.

Anyway, I had a fic idea for ManShep x Garrus.  Given the general hush-hush that seems to exist in the ME universe surrounding same-sex couples, my idea was that ManShep might not even be forward about it.  It'd be a LOT of awkward stumbling blocks.  I mean, how do you tell a male, alien comrade, whose orientation you're not even aware of, that you have strong feelings for him?  (This has always been my issues IRL, trying to tell someone I like them, when I've got no idea which way they could swing)

You're right, I don't think Garrus would mind, IMO.  I mean, his whole attraction to FemShep has nothing to do with gender or species (notice his lines are worded to be as general neutral as possible) but with the fact that it's Shepard, his closest friend.  I...can only think the Mordin convo might be a bit different, though XD  But seriously, I think it would be just as awkwardly cute and sweet as FemShep.  (I mean seriously, swap F-Shep for M-Shep, and the scene still looks just as d'awwwww inducing)

Oh god yes. Most of Garrus awkwardness suits a male advance on him just the same. And what is to say Turians wouldn't accept male shepards too? Nothing in Turian culture (or any ther alien race in ME) shows they have any problem at all with m/m. Garrus is the perfect fit for the awkward, nervous and unsure dealings of homosexuality - especially with other species.

Will bioware grant this? Absolutely not. Would it be fair for them to do that? Yes. But they can only do so much. The only way it would ever happen is if every female fan on here campaigned for it to be included (in civil manner) much the same way that was done with Garrus for ME2. That however will never happen :]

I'm not angry about it truthfully - I'm happy with femshep and our Turian. I do however feel the sting of bitter neglect from bioware though.. But I'm used to dissapointment. But hey, I can at least be 110% supportive of the hetero romance optinon, eh? Better something wonderful than nothing at all!

Guys are we sure Garrus even has some closing lines for Femshep after the game is finished? I know it's been said it's gliched and he won't say it.. But I find it hard to believe. If any of you have finished it with.. say.. Tali or any other LI, can you tell me what they actually say after the game? I mean if they offer commentary that solidifies the relationship I'll be kinda upset if Garrus doesn't get the same.

Nothing about the relationship. After seeing Tali's post-mission remarks, I was disappointed.

I have no clue.  I would hope that the game is bugged and BW didn't simply drop the ball so completely they left the game incomplete post-Collector Base.  Tali, if you romance her, does say after how "it was completely worth it."  Or something like that.  Apparently Garrus has a line as well (but I'm not sure what it is since I haven't seen it).

The better question is why did she put her clothes back on after the shower? I...try to imagine that awkward romance scene with my Shep only wearing a towel and suddenly everything feels right in the world...

I've had this notion in my head where Garrus is in the room while Shepard's showering and he gets curious and sees those files Mordin sent. Shepard walks out in the towel and in the attempt to hide those lovely diagrams... both of them end up on the floor. And the fun commences... XP



Meh... it just keeps playing in my head. I really want to see Garrus's reaction to those diagrams and vids. XD
