also some words of comfort: (this doesn't garuntee that he's a squadmate but it garuntees he'll be in ME3)



in some of the interviews for ME2 they said if you have a LI in ME1 and switch in ME2 it will have consequences in ME3 right? so therefore whoever your LI in ME2 is has to be in ME3 because they said there would be consequences...

I think that too but you never know, Bioware is famous in breaking hearts to female players just see Horizon and game Dragon Age atleast for me. Relationship between Garrus and Shepard will be rough road. I really don't want Garrus to give up and dump Shepard.  There is aswell some line in wiki: "While turians are individuals with personal desires, their instinct is
to equate the self with the group, and to set aside all personal desires for the good of all." If he will dump her then it will be for her good. Or he will step aside because of Kaiden/Liara or most of  Turians still hate humans and their relationship will be under attack but then again why not to stay secret like whole space need to know. But then again nothing can remain as a secret forever especially not love. He can dump her aswell because there is too many differents between them. I am not sure either if platonic love can stay platonic love forever in this case, they will have their "needs" always. I am still not sure if they can sex actually lol and if they have done it at all before final mission. Garrus neither say anything about it after final mission. They will try relationship but... I hope it will suceed or it will be big letdown for me. Somehow they made Garrus too good to be true. I dunno really, I ll try to be optimistic.

@ Xalena - Maybe turians in general are willing to set aside their personal desires for the greater good, but Garrus says he doesn't think he's a very good turian. "When a good turian hears a bad order, he follows it. He might complain, but he knows his place. I've just never seen the point in staying quiet and polite[...]" I think the rest of the quote was something about the stakes, but anyway - he's not exactly a typical turian, and I don't think he'd dump FemShep just because other people thought he should. ^^

He did say he wasn't a good Turian. He said he didn't always follow orders, I doubt he would give something up like that. Besides he's not part of any group except Shepard's crew. I doubt he would want to return to C-Sec or any Turian military association, especially not after he thinks that those things went wrong when he was in there.

I consider myself pretty open as far as RPG romance interests; my FemShep flirted a bit with Kelly, I tried Jack and Miranda but they'd have none of it, and Jacob didn't suit my tastes, and Kaidan was an **** when I first ran into him, so I cut that off from ME1. Thane is too emo for my liking, I was looking for a male love interest that fit the personality of my FemShep... a do-gooder inside, but frequently a Renegade who did whatever was necessary to get things done. And that's perfectly Garrus, so I tried that and was pleasantly surprised to see that they'd actually given him romance dialogue. I wish there was a bit more too it, more substantial and (as the quote says) less like a fling. The fact that they were close, trusted friends who had already been through near-death experiences and were about to go through another made it an even better choice, in my opinion, whereas just... randomly hooking up with Thane, the negligent emo father, isn't my cup of tea.
In fact, as far as non-humanoid aliens go, Garrus is "cuter" than Thane... those wide bug-eyes bother me, even though his sleek black outfit is sexy. But in short, aside from the surprise that Garrus had romance lines, I found ME2's romantic options to be fairly limited and disappointing.
I hope that Garrus is continued into ME3, with adequate romance lines.

I highly doubt Garrus would dump Shepard for any reason, unless of course his only other option was to allow her to die or something. He just doesn't strike me as the kind of person who would really give much consideration towards what other people think - aside from Shepard that is.

And then the follow-up Bioware Mass Effect game that is not part of the trilogy will focus on Shep's adventures with Squishy. xD



And Garrus, too, of course. I think he'd be very cool with rolling around the galaxy with FemShep and a giant Thresher Maw.



Although, man... Toombs would seriously hunt you down and kill you for that. Considering everything he went through, Shep hooking up with Cerberus was bad enough... but joining up with a Thresher Maw after that? The poor guy's head would explode.
