Go into your Quarters and next to your Private Terminal it should have another terminal that says something about summoning Garrus. Click it, and he'll be sitting on the couch. You can chose either the couch or the bed.

You summon him via terminal? So you send him a text message? I'd probably prefer hearing Hale say "you, captain's quarters, now".

Heh, I just barely started the romance with him (taking my sweet time doing everything in my first run-through), and I can't wait to continue it. I always talk to everyone after a mission, though Garrus gets talked to first (though half the time dialogue isn't new).



Heh, Garrus should just stay in my Shepard's room instead of traveling back and forth every few minutes when I call for him again. XD

I'm really hoping for DLC that expands on the character interactions (and romances). I mean, I know most of the DLC is probably going to be items and blowing things up, but seeing characters evolve and deepen are more interesting to me. I would also hope for post-Collector ship dialogue and stuff that makes it seem more like...y'know...you defeated the Collectors. Even Garrus acts like they've yet to consummate the relationship.

The romance is many things: cute, hilarious, adorable, awkward, touching.  ^^ And I know what you mean about having him on the squad.  I think the only times he hasn't been on my squad was on the final mission where he was the leader for the second squad both times.  His dialogue is gold; I love it! BW did a really good job with his character and all the nuances and depth.  He's definitely one of the more complex characters in ME, I think.

Also, the romance won't pick up until you complete the loyalty quest.  So...don't worry if you haven't done that yet and the trigger doesn't show up.

It's so cute and I love the different levels to his character. ^^ On one hand, he's unfailingly confident in his professional abilities and experience -- he's a badass, he knows it, and he doesn't feel the need to shove it in people's faces.  As you alluded, he is also quite confident in dealing with turian ladies. XD

Then in steps Shepard and bam! It's out the window.  She' someone he respects (he respects her more than anyone else in the galaxy, he admits) and he cares deeply enough for her to get over not being attracted to humans (no human fetish for him ).  So...he's attracted to her for her, not because he's drooling over her body and he cares enough for her to desperately want things to go right.  Which makes the final romance scene even more touching, because you can see he wants it to go right and he's trying. ^^

I think BW's doing great on his character, because there are so many different layers and levels to him.

We need to get an ME3 wishlist together, too, so...perhaps we should begin accumulating suggestions?

Well, I think I can speak for everyone when I state what should likely be at the top of the wishlist:



Make the Garrus Romance NOT a fling, but an actual relationship that carries over into ME3, even if there are consequences (such as prejudice, or perhaps you cheated on your ME1 interest ;P).

I love the comment fem shep gets about injesting turian flesh... so smooth bioware, couldn't stop laughing had to replay the scene.

I keep thinking for ME3 there's going to be a sense of "Get the WHOLE gang back together" mentality. I mean c'mon, I highly, HIGHLY doubt they're going to do a repeat of ME2 by sidelining the entire squad cast for entire NEW people, considering ME3 is the final installment, they have to make it carry some weight. I think we could see the return of ALL the squad-members. Perhaps they aren't all useable at the same time (with a few exceptions), but I get the feeling you can get everyone to help out.

I sincerely, deeply hope that is NOT the case.  I understand that some might not return, even if they live, due to certain issues brought to light during the course of ME2's story.  But there are others who can certainly stay onboard to help Shepard, and I hope BW doesn't cop-out and write them out to make things "easier."

Anyway, I'm going to start adding your guys' suggestions to the OP.
