I think they wanted it to be a secret what with the whole 'Archangel' thing.

Grrr, I remember Bioware keeping us forum-goers in the dark about who "Archangel" really was as well. There was a "who is Archangel?" thread on the old boards, and Evil Chris Priestly came in and said "a comic book character". Posted Image
At that point I had resigned myself to thinking that Garrus would only have a cameo level in Omega. Darn you Bioware and your habit of twisting poor fan's hearts. It was the same way for the LI stuff, perfectly reflected in the Garrus thread's old motto "we grasp at straws". *Sigh* Though after all that, actually getting him was a payoff like no other (thankyoubioware).

lol! I wasn't on the forums for the build-up, so I didn't read any of the teasing about Archangel. That was cruel, BW!

But you have to admit it's worth the aggravation when he finally reveals himself in all of his badass glory. ;)

And then the Xbox achievements came out and much rejoicing was had - until Chris showed up to attempt to dash our dreams once again. He's rather good at that isn't he? I remember he also tried to throw everyone off of Legion's trail by saying that under no circumstance was Legion going to be in your squad. Seems that whenever Chris makes a comment about whether or not a character is in a game you have to believe that the opposite of what he says is true.. o.O

Hello. I bring support from the Tali thread. Also want Garrus to be in ME3. Great job so far.

Thanks! :D It's really nice to see how supportive all the Tali and Garrus fans are of one another. Here's hoping our favorite Turian and Quarian are back in ME3!

The wait up until the final few days pre-ME2 release were thrilling, though. XD Every scrap of info released (officially or not) was torn apart, devoured, and picked to pieces. We were (are?) rabid and it was awesome. X3

You have to use image tags, like this, but you have to remove the asterisks: [*img][*/img]

And the image URL goes in the middle. :D

Yeah, you need to remove the periods. I made note of that in the OP because I can't just post the code verbatim due to the way the forum works. T-T

Archangel was the coolest when he had metal wings, blue skin and worked for Apocalypse back during the Simonson Squared days of X-Factor.

Though he is really cool in the current run of X-Force.

... Oh shoot, my Marvel fandom is showing again. Sorry. D;

*Snorts* Posted Image Looks like Chris was telling the truth after all. He was hinting at Garrus' new mini-series which takes place in an alternate universe, where people have been given extraordinary powers after being exposed to a mixture of Gamma radiation and eezo. Garrus must construct a team of such people in order to prevent the misuse of these newfound powers, and he shall call them...THE G-MEN!  With obligatory cereal and action figure tie-ins.

Yeah, it seems like they're trying to keep plot twists under wraps on the bios page; note that Grunt's tells you zero about his background or motivations, and his age is listed as 22 (anyone else remember how he was supposed to be some bouncer on Omega and everyone thought he would suck? Bioware are massive trolls).

Is there gonna be a Garrus FFtL trailer? Because that would be goddamn amazing.

It would be beyond awesome.

But you're right, if they're keeping plot twists under wraps, we might end up with an "Archangel" page and then no useful background info on Garrus. :(

I hope not, though.

It would at that, however aren't the FFtL trailers centered around the fact that the character is a newcomer, and doesn't know what Shepard is all about yet? (correct me if I'm wrong of course) All I remember from Miranda's video is her telling the audience something like, "Shepard's gonna have to work for my loyalty". Neither Garrus or Tali got videos because they're already going to follow Shepard no matter what, and Bioware probably figured that it would be more meaningful for players to first find out what's happening with them in-game (like how they tried to keep Archangel/Garrus a secret).

Ah, damn you and your making perfect sense. Tali did get a character trailer, though (and Jacob and Samara also lack FFtL trailers), so we may have something to look forward to.

...ouch, they could really use a proofreader on those squad pages; Samara is 'racked' by guilt.

I love sentences that require the double word:

"And here I was assuming that that particular typo was intentional."

You win the thread!!!

rofl @ unfortunate-but-appropriate Samara typo.

I know it makes sense for there not to be a Garrus FFtL trailer, but that doesn't stop me from wanting one. The renders are so good! ::sigh::
