Those rejection images are... D:

it would be funny if you could have some sort of interupt, after you reject him and he is shuffling along, you could suddenly glomp him and be all like "APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!!! :D!!!! "

...he'd probably beat her to death with wine bottle after that though....

Hoo, I'm loving all the new posts here in the thread. So I wanted to give everyone a heads-up on the following. I managed to learn how to mod certain aspects of ME2 and am having a bit of fun with experimentations, especially since I'd like to have the option of playing as (or having on my team) pre-injury Garrus.

First, Garrus uses a different head and body model pre-injury, which means using TexMod to "heal" his face and armor is out. The facial textures between the models don't match and they're applied differently. However, even if you use Adobe to cut them up so they DO match, the head model itself has the bandaged area raised into the air - you can still see it even when retextured.

Secondly, his player model isn't compatible with NPC textures for the same reason - the texture layouts just don't match up and it displays them skewed on his body. Someone could, of course, do a ton of work to make them compatible via Adobe, but I lack the skill. For me, hope lies in the .ini file which can be used to swap his appearance to an NPC - I just need to figure out NPC model tags to do so. From there, his face can be given the standard pre-burn Archangel texture (sans scanner) via TexMod. Likewise, if I can locate the tag for the Archangel model, I can simply swap the two altogether.

Finally, I have unlocked the camera and God mode through a mod of the coalesced.ini file, so expect to see a lot of high-res cinematic-style turian NPC pics and turian battle shots in the very near-future (hopefully this weekend).

You're awesome. XD Looking forward to seeing some awesome pics, then. :)

That rejection pic was evil. I can't think anyone would ever do something like that. I'm never ever going to do that. Just like I'm never letting anybody die at the end.

Augh, the idea of him sitting alone in that battery room drinking that bottle of wine is just depressing.

To friendzone Garrus is like kicking a puppy. To friendzone Garrus at that specific moment is like pouring gasoline on a puppy and setting it on fire.

Best analogy ever.

It's been all day, and I still can't stop thinking about poor rejected Garrus. It just breaks my heart.

And this is why I'm glad I refused to click those pictures in the first place. I don't want to be so depressed that not even my zanny Political Science class later this evening could lighten my mood... D:
Damn though, kudos to Bioware for making a truly alien species that is able to truly emote on levels we can relate to. They really outdid themselves when they made the turians.

lol, now I feel bad for upsetting everyone. I don't want to be held responsible for any suicidal thoughts ;). I put a warning in my post, maybe there should be a 'health hazard' warning in the OP in case people click the screenshots from there.

Anyway, I'm going to bed and I hope everyone is feeling happy again when I return tomorrow, :)

I also hope I won't wake my boyfriend in the middle of the night screaming "GAAARRRUUUUSSSS" after having a nightmare because of what I've done today. He's already jealous that I'm spending more time playing ME2 than spending it with him. Especially now I keep blurting out "Reach and Flexibility" at random moments all day.

I'm just happy I found this thread. I thought I was weird for loving a turian ^^

Very cool, the detail is great. I wish I had the artistic skills for something like that, but I think my artistic skills capped out at drawing barely accurate curves in math classes.

That is awesome work blindbay7.

Meh, I really hope Garrus is back for ME3 and anyone who missed chance to romance him in ME2 can get a chance to in ME3. I checked my Renegade FemShep save files and I got none that occur before his loyalty mission or just after it before speaking to him about sparring. So unless I completely start anew with her, I'm going to have to wait till ME3 to see if there is a chance she can finally romance with the male who has been by her side since this whole mess with the Reapers started. Was going to correct another mistake I made with her releasing Grunt from his lifepod by getting Kasumi (when she becomes available) to take his place. So I guess I could just restart the whole thing over and get my Shep with the only Turian she truly admires.

I'm playing my renegade FemShep right now, and I'm staying loyal to Liara, but Garrus makes it so hard.

Augh, it was so hard romancing Thane. I got the 'reach and flexibility' conversation and I had to pick the option that I just wanted to spar.. I don't just want to spar, Garrus! >_>

Hah, I had the same issue, though Garrus admitting that he doesn't want to have his ass kicked by a human woman is pretty awesome.

Thane's romance was ultimately worth it, but I can't help but see Mel Gibson when I look at him, which freaks me out sometimes.

It's a good thing Shepard is the one to start the romance with Garrus, because it would be hard for my other Shepards to turn him down if he was the one who started it. They just won't choose that one conversation option. xD

In my current playthrough, Shepard was single in ME1, and is avoiding Jacob because all of the conversation options sound too flirty. o_o; She had to be quite rude in ME1 to get Liara to stop being interested as well.

lol! I didn't mind Thane, but I felt like he was trying too hard to replace his wife. Like he didn't really love Shepard, he just convinced himself he cares about her because he's lonely and needs someone.

When I heard Mordin explain how can't touch drell skin for long without getting a rash, I started to wonder why he's the more 'socially acceptable' option than a turian. It obviously isn't much better from a health-conscious perspective.

So taking that into account and Garrus winning the personality points, Garrus is totaly #1, IMO. ;)
