Maybe not 'perfect', but they have flat out said that was the only reason he was created, to be attractive to the ladies.

They never said that was the *only* reason he was created either, only that it was the consideration of his design. And, frankly, characters grow past their design into their own. Garrus is an example of this. The devs didn't expect much from him in ME1, much less the fan response, but here it came! He wasn't the most interesting of individuals either with his C-Sec obsession but he *worked* in the potential department, and they took those bits and ran with them in ME2. It's interesting to see how he's come into his own... though I wish he had more conversations.

(Never can get enough conversations.)

lol! I didn't mind Thane, but I felt like he was trying too hard to replace his wife. Like he didn't really love Shepard, he just convinced himself he cares about her because he's lonely and needs someone.

I can safely say that this is flat-out wrong and if you listened to some of Thane's conversations he flat-out says that's not the case.

I'm not sure where you're getting the Thane hate from because as far as I've read, no one here has anything against Thane, they're just giving their reasons for preferring one romance option over the other, which is perfectly reasonable and doesn't qualify as hating on Thane. From my experience, the people here are very polite about that sort of thing.  

 I have my own reasons for preferring Garrus over Thane . I don't dislike Thane in the slightest, but that doesn't change the fact that Garrus is still my favorite character and my preferred choice because his personality is more fitting to mine.

People have different viewpoints and perceptions - there's nothing wrong with that. This is just discussion after all.

Well, I could never turn Garrus away after seeing those sgreen shots. HE's been through so much crap and rejecting him justs eems to add to all the stuff that he's suffered. HE put a lot of effort into all that research.

Well, Thane is interesting to say the least. I actyually tried his and it was rather touchiong but putting it next to Garrus Garrus' wins out with feelings. And not only that but I knew Garrus longer as well.

Sure those crenenshots sound good.

SOrry for the weird ass reply. The whole area suffered a copnnection black out for 5 hours and it's only come back on.

Yep, it is. He goes on to say how he doesn't want to burden Shep, though, and mentions that he won't bring his feelings up again. And ends it with "I hope it won't offend you if I continue to carry you in my heart." Which of course makes me feel like a complete d-bag just hearing it. (I like saving before every conversation just so I can reload and explore all the options. I'll be doing this with Garrus, too.)

I don't know much about Jacob's romance, but Garrus and Thane's both have moments where Shep can let them down and while it's not outright RUDE... it still feels like (as someone mentioned earlier) you're kicking a puppy and then setting it on fire.

Garrus walking away with his wine is just .

Whenever I see Garrus walking away sadly with the wine in that pic, I have to take drastic action to keep from getting bummed out.



My current technique is to imagine him when he gets outside having an internal monologue about "this is when my drinking problem started," and then splashing it in his face ala "Airplane!"

Thanks for posting those. Xeyska has one good-looking femshep, mine always seems to have her cheeks caved in, which plays havok with shadows.

#2 is hilarious, I keep trying to imagine what kind of conversation they're having.

lol, actually Shepard is driving, isn't she? Maybe Garrus tried to drive but he was so raged up over Sidonis he tried to switch gears and ended up driving into a building.

I guess I was confused because Garrus was sitting to the left where I thought the driver's seat would be. xD It would make more sense for him to drive though. With Shepard being "dead" for two years, she probably wouldn't know her way around anymore. I finally got to know my way around the old Citadel and then they changed it...

I think it's England-style, because for Thane's mission the Asari was on the right and she was driving.



I do agree it makes more sense for Garrus to be driving, I guess because I always like to imagine Shepard is a crap driver what with the Mako. But those things are probably at least somewhat automated anyway, you probably just punch in the location. It's the future!

I prefer the idea that Shepard's a terrible driver. He's great at everything else, so something has to give.

If those cars, and hopefully the futuristic version of the Mako, are automated now, that would be awesome. xD No more running over things, flipping over while trying to drive up a mountain, or wandering around trying to figure out the map.



One of my Shepards will eventually be good at driving... I've played through ME twice and improved a lot, at least with the aiming and shooting (and I kind of miss that in ME2). Until that day comes, I like to imagine that Garrus does all the driving while Shepard handles the shooting.

ROFL. I kept wishing you could dance -with- your LIs after getting into the romance, but I guess it's for the best, because they probably would've been mortified.
