Whenever I think of Hugo Weaving and his voice, all I hear is "Mr. Anderson" in Agent Smith tone from the Matrix. I would invariably blurt that out as soon as Garrus' father started speaking. Not that Hugo Weaving has a bad voice, but I can't help it...that line just sticks with me wherever I go.

I say...Jeremy Irons! Because his voice is badass, but that's just me.

I nominate Michael Wincott for Pap Vakarian. Or him as a Reaper.

Haven't seen him in anything but a small role in Count of Monte Cristo, but he definitely has a good turian-esque quality to his voice.

Ohhhh! New suggestion; Clancy Brown. I could so see that!

EDIT: Here's a clip with him as Lex Luthor in the latest Superman animation.

So true! I originally just posted the vid as a gag but as I sat and listened to it I thought..."you know, he might not be half bad!"

Ok, this may seem odd, but maybe... Alan Alda. For some reason, I can picture him as the voice of a turian without it being too outrageous.

haha the funny part is that Hugo Weaving was Megatron as well (the live action movies) ... so it kinda rolls together.

Clancy Brown would be interesting...but admittedly whenever I think of him, I think of Mr. Krabs......(daughter is a huge spongebob fan)

I always think of Clancy Brown as Danziger from Earth 2, but most people probably know him best as the villain in Highlander. He's been doing a lot of voice acting lately. He's really good, distinctive without being -too- distinctive.

Alan Alda would make a good turian, but I don't see him as Papa Vakarian. Maybe I just have this idea of Garrus' dad being really imposing, one of those tough-guy ex-cops like the dad from Psych. xD

So here's a question. If Palaven has a radiation problem, in the event we -do- see it in ME3, is Shepard going to be forced to wear an expression-blocking helmet the whole time? :(

Hmm, you're probably right about that. :/ Gah, humans and their non-radiation resistant skin!

But I think it's pretty obvious he cares for Shepard. I don't think it's love yet, because they've pretty much had every LI give off vibes that they're not quite "there" (heck Shepard even says it during Thane's). I think they're saving that confession for ME3. But I kind of like it, this budding romance stage, even though he's not spouting confessions there are clearly feelings there, it's not just a fling.

Hmm. I wouldn't say certainly, but I think it could be love in the case of Garrus and Tali. After all, Thane and the other love interests haven't known Shepard as long.

Plus Ashley admits to having loved Shepard on Horizon even though she never actually said so during ME1. So, yeah, who knows.

Well, it's possible that some events will take place inside.

Okay, what the heck. I just glanced inside the Tali thread and found out there are ME2 figurines coming out. ManShep, Tali, Grunt and Thane.

Say what? Where's our Garrus?? :(

Don't lose hope yet. That might just be the first run. You never know.

I'd buy one, I'd get a lifesize Garrus statue if there was one. That could be expensive though, and I don't think I have the money to be getting those kinds of things.

Tell me about it. They're done really well, too. Totally unfair. ::weeps::

@MarginalBeast: True. But you'd think if it's as scenic as Virmire, they'd spend quite a bit of time outside.

@SavageLycan: I hope so. It says 'Series 1'... I would be bummed if that was it.

What would really suck is if the second run is Miranda, Jack, Jacob and Mordin. >_> ... Or if they give us 'Archangel' without removeable helmet. I might have to hurt somebody.

I've always liked Garrus. However, the day he mounted a barrier in the middle of a firefight and took down two collectors in the face with a Viper sniper rifle is the day I fell in love. I proceeded to romance him.

I hate you forever. This quote sounded so interesting, I Googled it. I just spent FOUR HOURS reading Metal Gear game summaries, character descriptions, theme analyses, and trope deconstructions. I'm going to have to buy a PC or Playstation now, JUST to play these games!!

Speaking as a long time action figure collector, there is a reason why there's no Garrus out in the first wave.

1) BioWare was being very cagey about Garrus/Archangel at the time these were announced. Garrus, being a fan favorite, may very well likely appear in the second wave. which brings me to...

2) They don't want to blow the wad too soon. If they cram all the fan favorites in the first wave, the subsequent ones won't sell very well. They have to have some 'anchors' here and there in order to keep interest.

3) These things are friggen expensive to make. If you want Garrus, put your money where your mouths are and support the first wave so more figs (I want Samara too!) can be made in the future, including Garrus.

Also, being vocal about it does help too.

I really hope they do feature a Palaven or a turian colony during ME3. In ME2 the asari were expanded upon with Illium, seeing the relationships of asari with other races for example, their architecture, but also with Samara regarding a sect of asari warriors. Quarians also got a lot of time too with Tali and the Migrant Fleet but nothing really for the turians. Garrus is Shepard's connection and insight to turian culture and even then it was pretty much non-existent, it would be nice if Bioware could explore the turians some more. I really like the idea of meeting Garrus' dad.

But seeing as how the Reaper fleet is approaching, it would suck if the only way we see a said turian world is if it's in flames. :(

@Meta Ray Mek, good points, and I'll probably be getting Tali, Grunt, and Thane eventually. It's just, well, we have to complain because things without Garrus are just less good. XD

Point 2 is very good. I'm actually a little surprised there's no Legion figure, as he's one of the most impressive character designs in ME2 (though the level of effort that went into Jack's tatoos was also striking.)
