I was just talking about this over in the Miranda thread, but I want to get an ending where Garrus is the only one who survives the holding the door part. I can just imagine Garrus owning the Collectors as they come.

I like the face paint/tattoos idea a lot, but I think a LOT of Turians seeing a human with Turian style face markings would be very offended. I was actually watching a thing on National Geographic about Mauri face tattoos, and how it's considered an insult for anyone outside of their society to get one. Reminded me of that.

Agreed, Von Verrikan! This thread is full of awesome sauce. Not just the like-minded opinions on Garrus, but lots of thoughtful discussion on the character. We must let our voices be heard, for Garrus' sake!

Yeah it might be awkward... it's just Tali fans like it cuz we all promised Tali that we'd build her a house on the homeworld so... yeah, we all thought it would be nice. Also i support Garrus as a squad mate in ME3, I think it would be cool if him and Tali were the 2 consistent people throughout all three games... i feel like they have my back and i can trust them completely now...

His pops is a tough by-the-books C-Sec man. He hates the ideas Garrus has about Spectres, and just justice in general. Garrus has this 'jusctice must be done, it doesn't matter how' idea, and his dad hates that. Even pulled him away from Spectre training. I think that's about the jist of it anyway.

IIRC, he just says that his father was a very by-the-book guy, hates Spectres and wasn't happy with him leaving C-Sec.

@ToshiStation38: As long as he didn't get his face blown up a second time. Garrus needs to learn to duck. xD

@Kordras: This is true. There's already tension between the two species, wouldn't want Shepard doing something to inadvertently offend their cultural heritage. Especially in front of Papa Vakarian, who she's already got two strikes against.

I look at it this way, I may not care for Tali beyond 'she's a cool character', but the more people who chime in on her threads and ask/beg for more of her in ME3, the more likely Garrus will be included again for the very same reason. Both Tali and Garrus fans should back eachother whenever possible; simply because if they care enough to include one, they will do the same for the other! 

Think about it, if you saw Tali again and not Garrus, it wouldn't make sense. Likewise Garrus with no Tali. They are both fan faves, and if one is included, so will the other. Support eachother guys : D It's for the best for all of us

Well the cool thing is when i first joined this site i made a thread for suggestions and my first point was that Tali and Garrus should both be in ME3 most Tali fans support Garrus more than the other people just because he's so cool and also because since he was in ME1 we feel like we have a history with him, thats why we all found Tali so interesting and Garrus as well...

Garrus and Tali are Shepard's dynamic duo of the ME Universe. I'm a firm supporter of both - can't have one without the other, that just wouldn't be right.

@turelhimvampire - If Garrus' wallet said Badass Mother****er on it, I would die of uncontrollable laughter and euphoria. It would totally be tongue and cheek in his case of course, which would only make it that much more awesome. He'd probably be embarrassed if anyone found out.

@ Aris Ravenstar and Kordras... yes you are probably in right. But I think Garrus would probably paint her anyway xD he is that kind of boy, he doesn't care what others think... And Shepard is not some x human. Shepard is very popular human and probably respected by other turians (ignore that turian councilor ). When she will save Galaxy once more time, better then that she gets that faceprints! They shouldn't complain xD... especially papa Vakarian Garrus girlfriend is some very serious kick@@ss bad@@s girl )

I'm almost ashamed I never really thought of this until you wrote that, but that would be a great extension to the conversation wheel mechanic in ME3 -- "action" choices but distinguishable from the interrupts in ME2.  It wouldn't be there with every conversation but just in certain places where it's appropriate.  Like reuniting with a character, in addition to the three standard options, on the left you have a hug option on top and, if you didn't like their character in the past, maybe a sort of...cold shoulder/start edging away one, or something.

A little off topic but just wanna add: Sometimes I wish the "Neutral" dialogue option didn't always result in Shepard saying something bland or opinionless but actually embraced the "grey area" between paragon and renegade, show Shepard is thinking about the two sides of the issue.

Also, I was thinking more cutscenes/dialogue that show character interactions. Kind of what they did in KOTORII:TSL, with scenes between your squadmates being triggered when you enter your ship. Wouldn't it be funny to see Garrus nervously asking Joker if Shephard is attractive for a human? Or Kelly trying to seduce Thane, since she thinks he's so sexy.  Bioware is so good at being funny, I think it'd be interesting to see what they could come up with!

I would pay heftily for DLC if this was the only thing it featured, Garrus having awkward conversations with the crew about FemShep. xD

Also, I can imagine if they did that for Kelly and Thane, they'd have to do it with a few people. It would be awesome if you could load up a room and it does a check, and randomly you'll find Kelly in there getting friendly with whatever character is inside. ::snort::

Just curious, if there is an option to heal Garrus's facial scar in ME3, would you guys go for it? I know a few people who wouldn't, I think I would though.



Also I'll just go ahead and assume that he will not be wearing a broken suit again in ME3...

Either it's glitched or they just half-assed it because Tali has two end-game lines; one for platonic and one post-romantic. I want to hear Garrus' thoughts on the relationship.

I like his scar, it makes him look rugged. But I think it's silly he doesn't get to fix his armour, even though he had time to upgrade the Normandy's cannons o.O

@Viendel...I would probably let his facial scar, thing which annoys me is his broken armor. That is only thing which I want to fix. Garrus facial scar shoos Turian females away ;P so I feel safe with his scar hihi

I would LOVE that.  I was always really eager to get back on the Ebon Hawk to see if there were any new conversations between my crew. It was one of the highlights of the game for me.

I think squad and crew interactions make the game feel more...real, I think?  Because in that reality, we're a bunch of people/aliens/Legion (he/they/it gets a special category;)) that work together in a small space.  There are bound to be conflicts (I liked seeing Miranda and Jack get into a fight, and Tali and legion as well. Because of course that would happen, duh.) or any kind of interaction really.  Plus, we have the added dynamic of the suicide mission in this game, where we're all relying on each other to survive (even if some hate each other).

His end game line is different for me though. Mine keeps repeating the bit about not forgetting what we'd talked about.. Which doesnt even make sense.

Does anybody know if Maleshep gets the same garrus line about "First saren now the collectors"? If so it's pretty obvious the LI line is either bugged out or doesnt exist at all. (the latter would suck horribly)
