ooo, I am loving this turian face-paint idea. Nothing permanent of course, just an option, or as part of a bonding ceremony of some kind.

Can someone remind me of the details of Garrus's relationship w/his father? It's been too long since I played ME1, that conversation is fuzzy now

IIRC, he just says that his father was a very by-the-book guy, hates Spectres and wasn't happy with him leaving C-Sec.

@ToshiStation38: As long as he didn't get his face blown up a second time. Garrus needs to learn to duck. xD

@Kordras: This is true. There's already tension between the two species, wouldn't want Shepard doing something to inadvertently offend their cultural heritage. Especially in front of Papa Vakarian, who she's already got two strikes against.

I think there would be people in both species who would ridicule, discriminate, and be "offended" regardless of any face tattoos, just because it's a cross-species relationship.  Come to think of it, have there ever been any couples of two different species hanging out in populated areas aside from asari-and-something? I can't recall any...

Garrus' end-game dialogue is 'First Saren, now the Collectors? Remind me never to get on your badside', or something to that effect, and then he reverts to the 'I want to try it with you' conversation afterwards. Either it's glitched or they just half-assed it because Tali has two end-game lines; one for platonic and one post-romantic. I want to hear Garrus' thoughts on the relationship. :(
Heck no! The scar is super sexy. ;D I do hope he manages to get new armor, though.

His end game line is different for me though. Mine keeps repeating the bit about not forgetting what we'd talked about.. Which doesnt even make sense.

Does anybody know if Maleshep gets the same garrus line about "First saren now the collectors"? If so it's pretty obvious the LI line is either bugged out or doesnt exist at all. (the latter would suck horribly)

My maleShep had that dialogue about Saren.

Also, must give proprs to the artist of this pic for the kick-ass portrayal of Lorik Qui'in: http://nyhgault.devi...iness-153629320

Just curious, if there is an option to heal Garrus's facial scar in ME3, would you guys go for it? I know a few people who wouldn't, I think I would though.

Also I'll just go ahead and assume that he will not be wearing a broken suit again in ME3... :P

I would tell Garrus it was up to him but then remind him that I happen to be one of those "ladies that dig scars."

But that's just because it would be hypocritical of me to say "No! Don't do it!" when I had my own scars healed in the med bay once I tired of the Terminator look.

@Gerse - Well, they aren't a couple but there is that Turian hitting on the Quarian on Illium.

Ashley must have noticed all the time Shepard spent talking to Garrus. She was right across the room. xD I can just imagine the look on her face when she finds out... Well, I'm sure someone will have screenshots when that moment comes. My Shepard saved Kaidan.

My Shepard would definitely wear facepaint in the same design and color as Garrus. :) I wonder about turian "marriages" though. I've only heard one in Afterlife (the guy who kills the batarian bartender, I think) say that he had a mate. I listened to that whole conversation at the bachelor party too, and I don't think the turian said anything about it.

Hopefully Garrus' end-game dialogue won't be glitched in my game. o_o; And about his scars... I wonder if my Shepard would be able to give him a choice. If he likes them, they stay, and if not, then they'll be healed. Until then, my Shepard kept her scars so their faces match. xD

Ha! I'd LOVE to give Kaiden the cold shoulder Image IPB That's definitely an idea I'd like to see implemented! The bastard...
Also, I was thinking more cutscenes/dialogue that show character interactions. Kind of what they did in KOTORII:TSL, with scenes between your squadmates being triggered when you enter your ship. Wouldn't it be funny to see Garrus nervously asking Joker if Shephard is attractive for a human? Or Kelly trying to seduce Thane, since she thinks he's so sexy.  Bioware is so good at being funny, I think it'd be interesting to see what they could come up with!

I would LOVE that.  I was always really eager to get back on the Ebon Hawk to see if there were any new conversations between my crew. It was one of the highlights of the game for me.

I think squad and crew interactions make the game feel more...real, I think?  Because in that reality, we're a bunch of people/aliens/Legion (he/they/it gets a special category;)) that work together in a small space.  There are bound to be conflicts (I liked seeing Miranda and Jack get into a fight, and Tali and legion as well. Because of course that would happen, duh.) or any kind of interaction really.  Plus, we have the added dynamic of the suicide mission in this game, where we're all relying on each other to survive (even if some hate each other).

I've said this before but I'm *pretty* sure it wasn't in this thread -- if it was then apologies.  That is also one of my biggest wishes for ME3: squad interaction independent of any conversation with Shepard.  Not only would I want them to react to things like who Shepard is in a relationship with (jealousy, high fives, I dunno hehe), but yeah just random convos between them while on the ship.  It's weird and unrealistic that they all hangout in a room by themselves all the time.  I would love to have like a dinner table scene with everyone interacting with each other, maybe the night before the big final battle!  I know that's traditionally reserved for the sexy-time, but there's no reason why everyone couldn't have a little jovial gathering first...

Having played both genders of Shepard, I can confirm Garrus's end-game line is just that: "First Saren etc". The LI
doesn't have any "resolution". I seem to recall Miranda saying something similar, so I think it's just something Bioware didn't finish or didn't think about.

Good fanart of Lorik Qui'in. Kind of funny how he, Garrus, and Lilitheriax are really the only Turians that keep me from hating their entire species. I would do a lot to earn the respect of the Turian Council member. I just want to get him to finally acknowledge my Shepard as a respective equal. No begrudging respect, I want to save his life so obviously that he has no choice but to consider me a friend.

Seriously, though, there are so few Turians that don't have a stick up their ass about humanity. Understandably so, because of the first contact war, but I can count the number of Turians that react positively to Shepard on one hand. Garrus, Lil, Lorik, Rodam Expeditions clerk, and, uh, damn the fifth one slipped my mind.

Would be nice if, depending on your LI so far, if it was interspecies, if that could socially bridge the gap between the quarians/turians a bit in ME3. I mean, let's face it. The savior of the galaxy twice over having a lover of another species should raise a few eyebrows.

Like most everyone else, keep the scar, lose the impractically busted-up armor.

The facepaint thing is meh, but I did wear the HUD visor thing throughout most of the game to visually tie my Shepard to Garrus somewhat so I'm hardly one to throw stones.

Not that I can think of. As far as I recall the closest you can find is that turian/quarian pair who were just friends, though the quarian talks of dating a human as though it's not totally taboo. The turian is viciously against the idea however, though that could be because he's attracted to the quarian. Also he mentions a vid about turian/quarian relationships that was well received.

Humans and turians have a bigger issue due to the tensions from the FCW and also have the different DNA issue, though.

@RiotLaFontaine: That's awesome fanart. Yay for turian appreciation!

@Shadow Paladin: That is lame. Why does only Tali get it? I guess because people would be worried that they killed her.. But Garrus could've had an allergic reaction! We Garrus-shippers deserve some closure too! :P

Agreed.  Really enjoyed this aspect of Dragon Age; the chiding, the mockery, the advice.  Would love to see it in ME.

Well the only females in the game are humans, asari, and quarian :P And the one Quarian does make mention there was a human male who wanted to get her into bed in that Illum bar. They don't seem to mind inter-species at all during the conversation, it's more about the human being a jerk. No visual examples though.

oh, and I also want squad interaction so there can be a scene where Garrus fights over my FemShep or defends her honor or something similar that would melt me like butter.

Good points about the interspecies relationships being mostly asari because those are the only females in the game so far other than the occasional quarian and, of course humans. I won't get into it because it deserves its own thread topic other than just to say I really hope in ME3 we DO get to see some more females of the races...I am especially curious about the krogan, haha. And honestly I have a hard time imagining a female turian.

Very much this. I would die for a Garrus convo similar to when Zev butts in and tells Alistair how to take care of business. Or heck, stuff like Wynne's gentle teasing of Alistair. Pretty much anything relating to teasing and camaraderie would be awesome.

I could also see lots of non-LI related convos. For instance, Garrus and Thane having a discussion on sniper rifles, Garrus and Jacob talking about sports related to their culture (maybe with Grunt chiming with some terrifying and brutal krogan pasttime), or something.

Notice how all examples are Garrus-related? ;D

"Andraste's flaming sword, I know where babies come from!"

This is probably my most-requested feature for ME3. It's small but it adds so much to the atmosphere.

YOU JUST REMINDED ME, I had a dream last night about a female turian.  I remember think, "Oh, so that's what they look like.  Huh.."  But for the life of me I can't remember what she looked like.

And yes, dear GOD, please Bioware, I want to see females of other races. Not just turians either, I want krogan women, elcor , drell...and I realize it'd be tough to see a female salarian, but it could happen! We're probably going to visit some homeworlds in the next game, right?

I'd love to see children too (My gut says baby salarian would make me die of cute), but  I realize that's tougher and less practical. Still.

I suspect that Garrus' romance will bring up a lot of scandals. I can imagine someone as dumb as Udina telling you something stupid. He would probably say that being romantically involved with a Turian makes humanity look bad. I bet stuck up Turians like the Turian Councilor will probably make a big deal out of it. Although the exact opposite could happen and people could start seeing this as a step forward between Turian/Human cooperation. I'd love to see what Garrus' father would think. I think i heard something about female Shepard wearing face paint somewhere in this thread. If it does happen it would be really cool but then again part of me thinks like that's a Turian thing and wouldn't fit well with a human.

I think it'd actually be kind of disappointing if they didn't include prejudices against Shep/Garrus. It would make it seem less real if everyone went, 'Hey, whatever floats your boat, Shepard...'

Ohmygoodness, the voice!  I did not even think about that. Liddle turian voice, I would just die. <3

Of course, like I said it probably won't happen, and we only have ME3 left unless they're planning spinoff games (are they? I have no idea) .  Do you think they'd ever release any kind of visual companion book, sort like a hard-copy version of the codex with illustrations? A Mass Effect universe encyclopedia of sorts?  Cuz I won't lie, I would jump on that like Garrus on calibrations. It would make my year.

Yeah I agree, but I'd like to see both sides. Some people praising you by showing that Turians and Humans can get along. I'd still like to see humans calling Shepard a "Turian lover" or someone insulting Garrus. I can't wait to see what the Turian councilor says about it. Oh boy it's going to be interesting how this works out.
