I think it'd actually be kind of disappointing if they didn't include prejudices against Shep/Garrus. It would make it seem less real if everyone went, 'Hey, whatever floats your boat, Shepard...'Splinter Cell 108 wrote...
I suspect that Garrus' romance will bring up a lot of scandals. I can imagine someone as dumb as Udina telling you something stupid. He would probably say that being romantically involved with a Turian makes humanity look bad. I bet stuck up Turians like the Turian Councilor will probably make a big deal out of it. Although the exact opposite could happen and people could start seeing this as a step forward between Turian/Human cooperation. I'd love to see what Garrus' father would think. I think i heard something about female Shepard wearing face paint somewhere in this thread. If it does happen it would be really cool but then again part of me thinks like that's a Turian thing and wouldn't fit well with a human.
Yeah I agree, but I'd like to see both sides. Some people praising you by showing that Turians and Humans can get along. I'd still like to see humans calling Shepard a "Turian lover" or someone insulting Garrus. I can't wait to see what the Turian councilor says about it. Oh boy it's going to be interesting how this works out.
I would loooooove to be seen as a Turian lover. Not just because any positive comments they'd then give me would make my heart swell, but because it would most likely cause Ashleys head to implode; and Udina would more than likely go into cardiac arrest. And hey who doesn't want to see Citadel paramedics in action?
In the end I'm not sure if the hero that is shepard would ultimately improve Turian/Human relations, or hurt it. One would hope it would encourage people to treat Turians with more respect and to forget Shanxi, but look at all the dammed racists! O_O Shepard/Garrus could very well be the first Turian/Human couple, and you know what it's like being the first.... Imagine the media..
OH man, that would be the most satisfying punch to Al-Jilanni's gut of the entire trilogy. And it would be great to have people react to a Shep/Garrus relationship (or any alien) and be able to stick up for one another and put haters in their place! I'd love to hear a news story playing about how having the savior hero of the galaxy in a relationship with a Turian has inspired people to be less xenophobic...
