Oh, I see.  So it isn't after defeating the Collectors? Hmm...then we're back to square one: Does Garrus have a unique post-collector base romance dialogue, and thus is it bugged? Or did BW really shortchange him on lines and he honestly has nothing left to say but revert back to pre-collector base dialogue?

Ohhhh....I remember that dialogue. Well damn, somehow I was under the impression that this dialogue we were talking about was what he was supposed to say after the last mission.

So....no one has any idea if there's another line to be had, and it's just a bug, or if he really only has one line?

Wait, what? I thought people were saying that he said that at the end of the game. He tells you that after the first romance dialogue? I've never heard it. How do you get him to say that? Talk to him twice in a row?

So Garrus really doesn't say anything unique if you romanced him at the end of the game, but Tali does? WHAT THE HELL, BIOWARE?

Haha, apparently we're all on the same wavelength.

@MarginalBeast: I guess not. :(  Do any of the other LI's say anything or is it just Tali?

Apparently that's the case, and it makes me a little sad. But I will be happy when I run another playthrough and romance the pants offa Tali. > >

Wait, that... joke. I just pulled a Garrus. That joke there just when somewhere horrible.

ANYWAY. What's weird is, in my game, after I defeated the Collectors, he's still going on about how he's nervous about us blowing off steam. Is anyone else getting that?

I thought this was after the suicide mission? I'm not sure, I haven't done the Garrus romance (just can't get attached to a main character that's the opposite gender for some reason :P. We've got a mad bromance going on though XD)

EDIT:

I know after the Tali romance, she said one unique thing, and then went back to the same line before the suicide mission happened. Might be the same thing here.

Von Verrikan was saying that hers (his?) was glitched and saying that line instead of the normal one. Still no confirmation about an LI ending line. :(

@Kordras: No, that's right before the suicide mission.

Aaaaand, on another note...

The First Contact War started because baby Garrus Vakarian misplaced his rattle, and the entire turian fleet went on a rampage to find it. Facing him without it was the alternative.

Garrus Vakarian didn't join the Spectres because you can't break all the rules if your job doesn't have any.

Garrus Vakarian didn't fight the law. He shot it in the back of the head and then went back to business.

Yeah, that's what I get after getting his one unique post-collector base dialogue line.  It's...disappointing.  I'm really hoping it's just bugged or something and that BW didn't just drop the ball. =/

Yep! Most people get the "blowing off steam" quote. My quote reverts back to the line about "Not forgetting what we talked about" for some reason. Mordin is dead in my game, maybe that's the difference? And I can still invite Garrus up...so.. no idea.

Doesn't seem right at any rate. If this was supposed to be this way we'd all be getting the same lines at the end. And not only that, but we wouldnt be getting man-sheps end quote with garrus  There's GOTTA be a line there we're missing out on! I doubt Bioware would forget Garrus and ONLY garrus for LI endgame dialog. I mean come on Man-shep should not get Garrus to say the same thing :crying:

I'm not sure, but I think it's not so much Garrus being left out as Tali being the only one to get an extra. Thane's was the same whether you romanced him or not.

Garrus should have something to say, though! There was a lot left up in the air there. >_>

Thane too? Drat.. Well maybe saving the collector base has something to do with it? Anybody actually save the base instead of blowing it up? Could just be that Garrus needs some random event change in order to trigger it.

Aww, poop on a poopstick. I really hoped it was a bug. Oh, well. I can always invite him up and stare at him as he sits on my couch. I love Garrus's casual digs. He looks like such a goofball. A lovable, hard-plated goofball. With a sniper rifle.

There's still lots to do, even if I can't chat him up anymore. Gotta mine, blow up some mercs, and try to get Legion to dance.

I wish they had male and female poses for the Captain's quarters scene, where the LI is sitting there on the couch. Garrus and Thane look really weird in the same seductive legs-crossed pose that the ladies use. :P

I dunno, I kinda like it. :bandit:

At least he doesn't cuddle you with a knife strapped to his boot, like Tali does. That cracks me the heck up.

Where do you get all this jokes xD can I have your stuffs haha :D? You are all crazy today (in positive way ofc). Continue like this, I ll need to call Garrusmbulance to pick us all :D!

edit:@ ending...after Collector base I just got 1 line from him how I killed Saren and Collectors and that he never wishes to be my enemy or something like that. After that line, when I want to talk he is saying about blowing off steams and when I ask for a minute...guess what...CALIBRATIONS! :crying::( so unfair...

As I said before, it's probably to quiet rumors and worries that you end up killing her. But I still want one from Garrus. :(

I haven't finished the game yet, but I'm considering saving the Collector base. :) This will probably depend on Garrus' opinion about it though. Is he totally against it, or will he just trust Shepard's decision no matter what it is? (I chose the Renegade options on his loyalty mission, if that makes a difference.)

Garrus Vakarian doesn't step on toes. Garrus Vakarian steps on necks.

The last thing you hear before a Garrus Vakarian headshot? No one knows, because dead men tell no tales.

The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Even the worst laid plans of Garrus Vakarian go off without a hitch. (Let's just ignore his whole sidequest to appreciate that one. :P )

Garrus Vakarian built a better mousetrap. Most people simply can't calibrate it correctly.

Garrus Vakarian keeps his friends close and his enemies in scope.

Once you go Garrus, you are physically unable to go back.

Garrus Vakarian's tears cure Kepral's Syndrome. It's too bad Garrus Vakarian has never cried.

Executor Pallin died from Garrus Vakarian giving him the finger.

Garrus Vakarian always has sex on the first date. Always. ( ^_^ )

Garrus Vakarian doesn't eat. Rather, he kicks ass until he's full.

I've actually heard Garrus defend keeping the base. I think there's always at least one character on the squad who will argue for that...at least that's how it's been in all of my boss-team configurations (exclusion being Miranda) although I haven't tested every combo with Garrus. I still blew up the base, though. :D

He's pretty wishy-washy on it, really. I think he says something that amounts to, "Well, this base could be useful. But then again, this stuff's evil. Your call, Shepard."

After much debate, the Council decided to unleash the genophage on the Krogan rather than the alternative of sending Garrus Vakarian. It was deemed more "humane."

Garrus Vakarian once walked down a street shirtless. There were no survivors.

Prothean experts working outside Council jurisdiction have recently conceded that, were the Reapers to exterminate life in the Galaxy, all that would remain are Vorcha and Garrus Vakarian.
