Either Garrus bulked up, his armor did, or both, cuz he's huge compared to what he was in the last game. In ME1 I was convinced that he was a pretty light fellow (Avian) and that Shepard could totally throw him if they ever got in a fight, but now I'm not so certain.
Well we saw what he did to Harkin. Plus Harkin looked so small next to him. I'm pretty sure Garrus could take down Shepard or at least give him a good fight.
He's using heavy armor in ME2; in the first game he could only use light and medium, it's a pretty big difference.siltsonata wrote...

That picture is old though, its from ME1's concept art. I think Turians probably look more muscular now. That's why we need to see a naked Turian in ME3's romance scene. Otherwise we will never know how muscular and how big their collar bones are without armor or clothing.

Speaking of, did anyone else get a kick out of the way he just -picked- Harkin up like that without any effort? Wow.Splinter Cell 108 wrote...

Garrus Vakarian was fired from C-Sec because his mere employment was interpreted as "cruel and unusual punishment"

FemShep: I am both horrified and kind of turned on by your display of brutality, Garrus. It's very confusing.

Why do you think they look more muscular now? Turian NPCs have been reused from the first game. Just because Garrus bulked up a bit doesn't mean the entire species did. None of the other aliens have significant changes from their concept art, I don't see why we shouldn't go off the concept art when there's no other source.

I'm assuming since Bioware said the LIs are going to play a big part in ME3, that Tali and Garrus will be there. I won't expect them to be team mates because this way I'll be pleasantly surprised if they are. Then again they said the LIs from the first game, or at least it seemed that that's who they were talking about.
I'm just thinking we might team up with our old crew to take on Reapers and Cerberus.
I'm still not looking forward to Liara approaching me about cheating on her. I'm actually more worried about answering to Garrus than Liara.

Off topic and almost completely out of bitterness, I hope the Kaidan thread does not surpass our page numbers.
Anyway...I feel like this argument/discussion about the concept art has less to do with Turians looking different and more to do with Garrus' anatomy. Compared to other Turians, we Garrus lovers probably imagine him to be of a more muscular sex-machine malien build. Yes, that sex-machine part was necessary.

Well, yeah, I thought that was canon! ;Daznsoisauce wrote...

But it doesn't matter. They can have their fun, but as far as I'm concerned Kaidan is very dead.
I'll love Garrus no matter what his anatomy is, because he's Garrus and Garrus is the shiz nizzy.

Exactly. *nods* For the good of science, we must see a naked/half naked Garrus. For scientific study. Yeah.
