I'm sure the ladies would have a different reaction to Garrus reading a book, then they would to Garrus, stripped to his waist, covered in machine oil and sweat, working on the Normandy's main gun with his bare hands, finishing by giving the camera an arched brow and a wink.

*sits back and waits for the gushing*

....I was going to make a very dirty joke right there. But I will resist.

(I actualy feel like one of the few people in this thread who doesn't have a crazy need to see Garrus sans clothing; at least, not in-game...in fact I'm against it.  My head would explode from awkward.  But that doesn't change the fact that everyone else's enthusiasm is quite infectious, and very fun. :P)

Personally, I like Kaidan, always did. It just broke my heart when he went off on me on Horizon, and I wasn't entirely sure Garrus could be romanced, but there the options were. I thought about it for a bit, and decided Garrus was a better partner for my MainShep than Kaidan. He's there for you no matter what, the same can't be said for Kaidan and Ashley.

I don't think this applies to Liara, however. She gave up everything to find you, and she's still very much in love with you. She might seem a bit closed off, but she's had a hell of a time the last 2 years. I couldn't bring myself to cheat on Liara on my renegade Shep, she does so much for you, and it doesn't seem fair to do it. To hurt her like that.

I think it also has something to do with Shepard coming back into his life. He started losing himself again when Shepard died. He quit his work at C-Sec again and went off to Omega. He also lost his team, maybe seeing Shepard again gave him hope. At least this time he got to do something right by helping take down the Collectors, in fact it's two things right if Shepard is a female.

Right, but just the fact that it's there is really, really awesome. Like even Alistair from DA:O who is completely devoted to you if you romance him, there's still this underlying feeling that he's following your orders because he just hates to lead. Garrus could make his own decisions, but he's trusting you to follow your lead. That's just been my problem with most LIs for female players, the characters just seem so... Obedient.

@Prolefeed: Is it sad that I kind of want to know what a dextro-DNA alien eats for breakfast?

@Kordras: Love the 'calibrations' interrupt idea.

I haven't romanced any of the other female LIs. I don't think I will just yet, each romance deserves a completely different female Shepard and for that I have to to ME1 and start all over again since I don't like ME2's defalut renegade Shepard. In fact Garrus was my first, I'm hoping I get enough time this weekend to romance Tali. I'm going to start all over again with my female Shepard too. It's too interesting to play as the opposite gender plus I get Garrus.

YES.  All through ME1, I wondered, "If Garrus is such a hothead, like the characters in the game seem to think he is, then why is he always following all of my orders, even for things like Dr. Saleon? I totally expected him to ignore my order to spare him and shoot that crazy salarian right between the eyes."  Then I realized that it's not that he's following orders because he has to.  He's doing it because even though he sometimes disagrees with what I do, he respects me and my judgement enough to believe that I know what I'm doing and it's for the best.  That was mind-blowing for me.

That's a good response if someone asks you to do something.

"Could you run to the store and get some milk?"

"Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations."

You and me both, but it certainly is fun to read this thread and all the thoughtful, hilarious posts people make.  And all the information that's been compiled on Garrus is mind-blowing. There's nowhere else to be if you're a die hard Garrus fan.

lol! Nice.

I'll try to be patient with ME3 if it means we get Garrus. I'd rather they take a little more time and do it right than rush it out and have it be.. not awesome.

I agree, but it's just so hard to wait especially when ME2's ending leaves you wanting to know what will happen with all the choices you made. I really want to find out what's going to happen with Garrus. The same thing happened to me when I first finished ME1. I wanted the sequel to be in my hands immediately after I finished.

But it is entertaining, ;). You'll not find anything of the like anywhere else. That's what makes this thread so great - true fans with a lot of investment into the character, weird or otherwise.

"Weird" as meant in a completely good way of course. All this Garrus love makes me want to try some fan-art of my own, or write a story - got too many of those in the works as it is though. The inspiration here is infectious.

Oh gawd.  I have so many fanfic ideas running through my head that it's ridiculous.  If only I was any good at writing.

Yes, I want to see what Sidonis will do to make it up to Garrus. If it were up to me he'd be dead but Garrus doesn't need anything else to regret in his life. Although I'm more interested in the romance, I want to know what everyone will think.
