/sigh. Why isn't ME3 out yet? I'm on play through #4 now...

Garrus just better be in ME3... heads will roll....

lol! Nice.

I'll try to be patient with ME3 if it means we get Garrus. I'd rather they take a little more time and do it right than rush it out and have it be.. not awesome.

I agree, but it's just so hard to wait especially when ME2's ending leaves you wanting to know what will happen with all the choices you made. I really want to find out what's going to happen with Garrus. The same thing happened to me when I first finished ME1. I wanted the sequel to be in my hands immediately after I finished.

It's probably wishful thinking on my part, but in terms of squad members returning for the final round, I have an inkling that the "loyalty" factor from ME 2 will come into play. After the final mission, Shepard has this nice, "loyal" team already recruited to follow him around; and they don't need to worry about cameo continuity.

Speaking of fanfic, (gosh I hate that word,) I actually have some ideas...I have stuff to do before I can get some real stuff out though.

Also speaking of "fanfic," there's this idea I've been tempted on doing since I did that one sketch: writing a script to a fake Garrus cop-drama.

Captain: Dammit Garrus! The Executor is gonna have my ass! You're on thin ice right now!

Garrus: Well that's the thing captain, turians don't like the cold...

For some reason, I feel like that belongs in the Mass Effect CSI thread. Oh yeah, the Cop Drama part...

Same. In fact, this thread is the only reason I joined "the internet".   I've been nothing but a lurker in anything ever for about six years now (because people on the internet scare me. They are generally mean.)

But everyone here is always civil, and there are actual engaging conversations, and there's always something on here makes me laugh uncontrollably at least once daily.

Y'know, it's weird. I almost miss all the trolls and general douchebaggery found everywhere else on the internet... There's nowhere for me to post my "Can it wait a bit?" picture. <_<

Hmm... nevermind, now that I think about it, that's a fair trade.

Yes, I want to see what Sidonis will do to make it up to Garrus. If it were up to me he'd be dead but Garrus doesn't need anything else to regret in his life. Although I'm more interested in the romance, I want to know what everyone will think.

Usually when someone says that "I'll find some way to make it up to you!" line and they are in a dire situation like Sidonis, it ends up with them sacrificing themselves later on for whoever they said it to.
I mean think about it.. He's got 11 deaths on his hands.. Garrus will most likely get captured in ME3 and the only way he can survive is if Sidonis dies so he can live. Mark my words, it's the logical setup :P

I believe I remember a news broadcast if you allowed Sidonis to live that says he turned himself into C-Sec for the murders, and they were trying to figure out what to do with him (since Omega is out of their jusrisdiction).

Well we saw what he did to Harkin. Plus Harkin looked so small next to him. I'm pretty sure Garrus could take down Shepard or at least give him a good fight.

Speaking of, did anyone else get a kick out of the way he just -picked- Harkin up like that without any effort? Wow.

FemShep: I am both horrified and kind of turned on by your display of brutality, Garrus. It's very confusing.

Exactly same reaction.

Seconded.

I was like wow, this is scary and yet...strangely hot.

Thirded, or fourthed, or wherever it is now. I love that scene. I never liked Harkin.    I love making Shep say "that had to hurt" after
Garrus goes for the groin too.  Garrus is pretty much the reason my
femShep is a paragade and not a paragon (from dialogue choices not actions usually though)...he's the only one who can
make her consider compromising her principles just to make him happy.  She still doesn't let him shoot defenseless people though, but she thinks about it...***  It's
nice to think she's the only one who can make Garrus "sacrifice" what
he would normally choose, too....B)

***this one's true not just about her but me too. Usually I don't have trouble choosing the paragon actions because, what can I say, I'm a nice person, but on Garrus's loyalty quest the devs actually achieved the holy grail of genuinely putting me in Shep's shoes...after much deliberation I had moved out of the way of the sniper the first time he asks because what can I say it's hard to turn the guy down :innocent: but then it gives you one more chance to step in the way again and I immediately realized what I had been about to do and jumped in front of the scope, not letting Garrus kill  him in the end.  I was glad they gave me that second chance....cuz like I said my femShep secretly likes the idea that she can sway him a bit.  Not that she wants him to change or get boring!  Just, she knows that deep down he would regret premeditated murder...

All right, new icons! It's getting kinda confusing in here though, everyone suddenly looks the same (only one Garrus icon unfortunately). I don't mind though, as long as I've got my Husk back. Image IPB

All of the photoshopped images and Garrus Vakarian facts are amazing, and we seem to be accumulating quite a lot of them (if the OP is anything to go by). You guys are awesome.

I cheated on him too, he practically dumps Shepard in Horizon. Garrus didn't do that, he stayed loyal no matter the circumstances. Plus I'm already human, it's much more interesting to see what an alien relationship is like.

You know, one thing I like about Garrus is he's so about sticking up for your beliefs and not following orders just to follow orders, which means that he really does agree with Shepard and/or respect Shepard so much that he's willing to do things his/her way, it's not just the turian in him (or in the case of the others, the soldier in them) coming through. That's why it means more to me than when say, Jacob or Ashley follows your orders. It's not 'I'll follow you because I have to', it's 'alright Shepard, I believe you're right'.

I think it also has something to do with Shepard coming back into his life. He started losing himself again when Shepard died. He quit his work at C-Sec again and went off to Omega. He also lost his team, maybe seeing Shepard again gave him hope. At least this time he got to do something right by helping take down the Collectors, in fact it's two things right if Shepard is a female.

this. all the more evidence he was already secretly in love with her in ME1 :D

Oo, I didn't realize it let you take another chance either. I've been trying to figure out how I'd deal with that situation on my Para-gade Shepard, and I think this makes the most sense.
