I saw a thread on this in the Scuttlebutt section, but thought it might be relevant to bring up here as well.

 

Apparently activating a certain number of elven artifacts should lead to a war table operation, but this seems to be bugged. It certainly is for me, and in this thread: http://forum.bioware...olas-artifacts/ it seems that others are having the same problem.

 

Furthermore, there seems to be a bug regarding him gaining approval when activating the artifacts. Several people in the above mentioned thread say that they gain approval from him when they activate them, but neither me nor my fiancée have gained any approval from doing so, and we both brought him everywhere.

 

This should definitely be fixed, because as it is, it would seem that I am locked out of at least a bit of content with my favourite character. Bugs making things appear wonky I can live with, but bugs making things not appear at all is not good.

 

(Btw, I'm playing on PC, so I don't know if this is a multi-platform issue or not.)

Huh, I was wondering what his deal was. Now I know I guess.

 

Not really using him anyway, but hopefully it's patched before a future replay where I DO use him.

Can confirm this. Also playing on the PC and I always put him in my party to activate (Just to be sure) and haven't gotten any extra dialogue, war table missions, or approval. Which has led to it feeling like one of the truly empty sidequests outside of bottle collecting.

I mean even in the cast of mosaics/shards I can go talk to people about them and do additional content.

I play on 360 and I don't get Approval for activating these! I have 4 different PT's and none of them have given Approval for activating them

I just wish I knew how many I have activated already. As far as I can see it isn't written anywhere? Have I just missed something?

I do get approval for Solas whenever I activate another artifact, but I never got a War Table mission from them. I activated every one I could find, I'd say atleast 10.

I haven't gotten the mission related to the artifacts either. I honestly don't remember if I've gotten approval for activating them in the past, but I know I've activated a bunch of them. I don't get any approval points for Solas at all now anyway, so maybe I already got his approval as high as it will go?

Same issue here.  Completed Measuring the Veil and All New, Faded For Her, but the only completed quest in my journal is Measuring the Veil and he no longer approves me finding artifacts because I've found them all and it went nowhere.  Let me help you, Solas.  Why won't you let me help you?!  lol

I haven't been getting approval from (romanced) Solas either. Or from Varric. I wonder if there is an upper limit to their approval? It would be nice if we could see some indication. In any case, I have about a dozen spheres and no war table, no comment, nothing.

So there was a point to those things after all. I had no idea as I'm in the same position as OP. On PC too, no quest, and no love from Solas.

Hmm, I'm on my second playthrough and I see those elven artifacts but I cannot activate them. There is no interaction possible with them at all.

Is there any requirement so that you can interact with them? I do have Solas in my party
