Hello,
I would like to know what the current prestige cap is, I've had conversations that it is UNLIMITED, however, you only benefit from the stat bonuses a total of 20 times for each stat. I wanted to know if this was true or untrue.

We dont know. We can assume there is a cap or at least a diminishing return after promoting x times otherwise, some players ll become incredibly powerfull within few weeks, but that's only speculations.

Pretty much everyone is wanting to know the answer to this question and as of yet we haven't heard from bioware regarding this question. I know I sure would like to know when prestiging just isn't worth it any longer.

As I've said, I've heard only rumours that stats will only increase up to 30 per stat (20 total prestiges per stat, you gain 10 passively).

pretty sure someone will reach the "cap" soon. but then someone else will come out and say the cap is actually 50. since there is no official response it's likely there is no cap, or at least not yet.
now that you mentioned, I think someone else mentioned the 1st on the leaderboard used unlimited promotion cheat. that explains?

What definitely causes prestige to go up? I thought it was just leveling and promoting like it was in ME3 but I'm not so sure now?

I think prestige only goes up for doing challenges. If it's suppose to also go up for leveling, then it's broken on my end.

Challenges definitely add to prestige and promoting adds 1 per as well. But that still leaves a few unexplained points on mine...maybe the final level of a challenge is worth more?
