While waiting for my Steam preload I figured I could help some xbox folks out.

1. Go to http://www.ea.com/ and look at the bottom of the page. You'll see a bar that says 'customer support, register, sign in, etc'.

2a. If you already have an EA account then click log in. Use the same email/password as you use to log into the ea network from within Dragon Age. It is VERY IMPORTANT you use the same account/email as the one you used for Dragon Age, if you purchased that.

2b. If you do not have an EA account/did not buy dragon age, click register.

3. Once you've created your account or logged in, go to https://profile.ea.com/myinfo.do

4. Scroll down until you see "Add Persona"

5. This is the screen where you can tie your Gamertag with your EA account. Make sure that the following is checked:
[*]existing Xbox LIVE Gamertag

6. Enter in your current gamertag into the field that looks like the following. Do NOT enter into the box in this post; it's just a copy/paste of the site and wont actually do anything.

Account Name

7. Click the 'add persona' button again. Before you start getting worried about not receiving the confirmation email, read the following:

Before you can link your Xbox LIVE Gamertag to your EA Master
Account, you need to log in to any online EA game with your Xbox or
Xbox 360. Once that is done, check your email inbox at the address you
used to sign up for your Xbox LIVE Gamertag for an email from us
describing what you need to do to link up your accounts.Keep in
mind, this email may not appear immediately, so be patient. Note, you
can always come back to this page to re-trigger the email in case you
missed it.

8. It will now take you back to your main profile page. If everything went right you should see your gamertag listed.

9. Now you can redeem the codes on the Bioware site, and it will show up IN GAME on your 360. Huzzah

[*]-edit-
[*]Well there was the proper code but this little editor does /not/ like copy/pasted html and bb code mixed. Oops :D

Use the same email you used for your BIOWARE account. This does not have to be the same as your Xbox live account; when you enter in your gamertag it will send the confirmation email to the email associated with your Live account.

Sounds like it is already tied to an EA account, maybe something like Mercenaries 2 or Army of Two in the past or some other EA game with online capabilities?

Guknowit: It does not matter if your gamertag email si different than the EA account. When you enter in your gamertag it will send the confirmation email to the email associated with your Live account. However not being able to check the email you used for your gamertag IS a problem.

Tankus: ME2 counts as an EA online game. Load up your 360 and ME2 while signed into the gamertag you wish to use for this. The persona setup will then be able to "see" for lack of better words that your gamertag has an EA game and will allow it to be used. This might take a few minutes for the data to transfer.

You have(or will have) Mass Effect 2, right?  That should work.

What Doc Metz said. I'm not really sure what you can do in that case. You may have to contact EA support (they have a live chat option; no  need to wait for an email) and ask what EA account/email is associated with that gamertag.

Right. If you don't have your ME2 360 copy right now then you have to wait.

-edit-

Mouse over "Profile" on the left-hand side of this page (under your profile picture) and click 'your registered game promotions'. At the bottom past the DA:O stuff you should see :
Blood Dragon Armor
Mass Effect 2
Xbox 360
---
As long as that's there you're golden. Once you get your copy of ME2 for the 360 sign into the EA site and tie your ea/bioware profile and your gamertag together. It is very important they are the same since you're supposed to register all the codes on this (the bioware) site.

And there you have my problem.

The e-mail account used to create my gamertag no longer exist. It cannot be reached under any circumstances. The e-mail associated with my gamertag cannot be changed, either, because it's 'locked' permanently. (On account of it no longer existing.)

So I'll just use the gamertag I have based on this e-mail. I'll lose an oodle of gamerscore on my 'main' account, but I'll still have it on the silver once it reverts back.

These instructions are good...but do you know how I can link my DA:O EA account to my original EA account that is linked to my xbl gamertag?

My Cerebus Network code got linked to my ME1 EA account (because ME2 by default, auto logs you into an EA account if you have one tied to you gamertag on xbl) which is the same as my xbl account, and if I do what you suggested above, I will lose that code.

Father G im at #6, but do I even have to do anything? because where it says add persona to the right I already have my game tag (KotOREffecT) listed, or do I have to still click add persona and put in my gamertag in the Account Name again? Or am I set? By the way I just registered my game to my EA account as well. Let me know if I'm already set, I might not even have to tie anything together and I just didnt know lol

Is this going to be possible if I have to physically connect the xbox to an ethernet jack at the expense of my pc? It's impossible for me to be online with both devices at the same time because I'm on a college campus.

Father G am I already set and ready to go? because at EA.com I already have my gamertag listed where it says "add persona". so that means Im good right? Oh and I just registered my game to EA, so everything is ready to go right? I wanted to make sure I got this out the way. Because on bioware social where I redeem the code, below it shows my same email adress and xbox live gamertag, so that means everything is connect and I should be good to go right?

I just really want to make sure, someone let me know if I got this all right.

KotOREffecT: As long as your Live gamertag is already tied to your EA account you're good.

Raanz: I had the same problem with my copy of ME1 and DA:O. I didn't realize they had to be the same and had them registered to different EA accounts. In the end I had to remove the key from my old bioware account and re-add it to the account with DA:O on the (old) bioware site. That's the account I'm using now to make this post. /Supposedly/ EA support can merge accounts in this case (the bioware support information says as much) but they were unable to do it in my case.

casedawgz: The gamertag you want to use HAS TO HAVE ME2 listed on it as a game you've played. Unfortunately this requires going online. Just plug your ethernet into the 360, sign into Live (both the tag you want to use and the online portion), load up ME2 to the title screen, hit the guide button and confirm your profile has ME2 listed as a game played, then quit to the dashboard. Plug the cable back into your PC and go from there.

Can you edit your post to remove that stuff Judge? Makes the thread a bit unwieldy to read.

To get to the chat go to support.ea.com/chat and log in with your EA account info and go from there.
