Yes KotOREffecT you have to sign into Live with ME2 on that gamertag as least once.

You'll probably have to contact EA support to get that sorted out Twilight.

whewwww! Thanks man, good to know... I think I finally have everything sorted out now to where I can finally freakin put the codes into the social site! lol but I might still wait... Im a little spooked right now, because what if something does go wrong? lol I might wait until Devs get on in the morning...

Wait, why do we need to link our EA and Bioware accounts together? I already have my Bioware account linked with my gamertag so I could download some Dragon Age DLC (Shale/Armor). I thought we only need to link our gamertag with our Bioware Social Account. Or am I wrong?

You should link both, like I have both my gamertag on here and EA's website.

So is this just to get the armor and stuff or did you have to do this to get the first day DLC too?

OK the email for this forum/Bioware socail and the Main EA account should be on the same email. . your gamertag doesnt have to be on the same email just linked to the EA account since u cant link a GT to the social Bioware site. . . And the reason you need those 2 the same for the reason i understand is you are supposed to register the game on here and then put the codes in on this site also not in the xbox!!

As far as the cerberus codes and the first day DLC etc etc i am pretty sure you do that all over XBoX . .
people are losing entered codes when trying to go through the Xbox to get the promo Items so just dont enter your codes into the Xbox but downloading the already free stuff is fine! :police:

Nope. Microsoft goes off on some rant about violating privacy laws, and EA just tells you flat out "Can't be done. Go start over."

God effing damn it. I'm so fed up with this ish. Father_G, I really appreciate the help you've provided, but I can't get anywhere with this. I've looked through the old forums for answers, the chat line is closed for the night... bah. Why is it so damn hard to link a GT? I don't understand what I'm supposed to do. This really blows. Oh well, no ME2 for me tonight. Off to bed, then hit it up tomorrow.

Yea bottom line everything if everything goes Wrong then its annoying but not all that bad. . all you can lose is the promo Codes etc etc but the first day DLC stuff isnt effected by this EA mess. . .and look at it this way you have got the game in some cases more than 1-2 weeks earlier than lots and lots of people! You still get to play the damn thing and if you did buy the CE you get all the things that come with it! Artbook. . Case. . .Making of CD . . Soundtrack(if digital download version)

It's annoying that I'll have to spend $50 to purchase a new subscription to Xbox Live. What is infuriating is that BioWare and EA force you to link your gamertag to your EA acount for some obscure/completely unexplained reason so they can...do something else that they haven't explained!

Microsoft has amazing external control over their 360s already. Just pay them to monitor usage/code input already, man, damn.

Is there anyway possible I could link my gamertag to this account? I didn't know I had it linked in the first place! I'm seriously beyond angry right now. I've been digging through the help center at E.A and I got nothing.

Anyone help me please?

Sidenote: My gamertag is linked to a different EA account. I already put in the codes for ME2 on this account and such.

Beatdowns sorry to say but you have the serious problem in which i think you may be screwed. . if you gamertag is linked to one already the only other option is to make a new gamertag. . which is very extreme for promo content!

Yikes. Damn, my luck I tell you. Well, I guess it's back to square one. Time to see if E.A can close the other account.

Damn, not how I planned on starting off today..

And EA will keep you all day to tell you they can't do what you want. It would be highly entertaining if it weren't so personally frustrating.

Que Será Será.
Need to start saying that more. Maybe I'll start believing it.

When I started up Mass Effect 2, I only the pre order terminus armor+weapon and the Normandy Crash site were available to download, but Zaeed doesn't show, is that normal?

By all appearances, I'm screwed on this one. I registered here under email address #1, and then logged in as that person, entered all my Cerberus and DLC codes. After being unable to find it on my 360, I did some digging and realized that my Xbox Gamertag is already associated with a different EA account that uses an ancient email address of mine.

So EA sees that "guy #1" has redeemed his codes, but I have no way of proving that I'm "that guy" since my Live Gamertag is associated with a completely different EA account and email.

Father_G, so i just registered ME2 on this account, but when i tried my gamertag again it said it was already taken. Do I have to put in ME2 into my xbox to let it register, and if so how do I do that?

I might copy-paste the following into their own thread, but only if I can have you all confirm that I have this right. I had a difficult time getting my DA:O content to work originally. It also didn't help that I used STEAM and was still unfamiliar with it. From what I can gather, these are methods/steps needed to ensure the transfer will work, and some of these steps might not be needed, but I recommend doing them all for peace of mind. These instructions are for people who have not tried anything yet for fear of not getting their DLC

****PLEASE**** If I have made an error in these instructions, let me know. I don't want to lead anyone down the wrong path. DON'T follow these instructions until someone can confirm these. As for those who are having issues, I wish you the best of luck and I'm sorry I can't help. If you fix the issue, I urge you to share with everyone here so we can all enjoy the things we paid for***

Before I begin I will state that I will have ME2 Collectors Edition for my 360, and I had DA:O Collectors Edition downloaded on my PC through STEAM.

1. Firstly, make sure you know or have written down your email/password/username/whatever for the Bioware Social Network.

2. Go to the EA website as discussed at the beginning of this thread, and make sure the email/username are THE SAME.

3. Add whatever persona you might need on the EA site, as discussed in the first post. MAKE SURE THE XBOX EMAIL IS THE SAME AS THE EA/BIOWARE ONE. I'm not sure if this is necessary, but this is a peace of mind precaution. It will be easier to have them all linked together this way. (In my case, I need to add my Xbox Live Gamertag to my EA persona list).

4. Double/Triple check to make sure everything between the EA site, the Bioware Social Network site, and your Gamertag are linked through the same email. Seriously, I can't stress being 100% positive about this, just to make sure you don't have to deal with the headache many others are dealing with right now.

5. Register your new game at the Social Network Site, and add the codes there as well. DON'T get them through Xbox Live yet. Make sure everything is done at the Social Network first. ***CERBERUS CODES SHOULD BE USED ON XBOX LIVE, NOT ON THE WEBSITE***

6. Pop ME2 in the Xbox, and make sure it wants to link to the correct email/gamertag and whatnot. Once sure, continue.

7. Now it should be OK to download onto the 360, as long as they were registered.

8. This, I think, will make it work.

Like I said, please correct me if i'm wrong and don't follow these until someone can confirm I have the proper instructions.

But when booting up the game, where it says DLC for the cerberus network, is it supposed to show Zaeed AND Normandy Crash site? or just Normandy Crash site?
