I'm about to scream. *breaths deeply*

I keep trying to link my gamertag, I get this crappy message: "System Error. Please try again later."

Thinking, "Hey, maybe the EA forums can help." I go here: http://forum.ea.com/...ist/366188.page

I see the Admin saying: PM me and I'll link them for you. I'm like "Sweet, by the time I get the game at noon I'll have a linked EA account."

I click the little PM button and i get redirected to a signin screen, I'm fine with that. I sign in... where do I get redirected...

THE ****ING screen where I'm supposed to link my gamertag with my EA Account and I keep getting that damn error message!

I've tried about five times.

I'm about to give up and just get some microsoft points today to PAY for the stupid Cerberus network. But that still leaves my Preorder DLC just sitting there unable to be used... taunting me.

I'm tired.

Ugh, I appreciate the help, but it says "that gamertag is already taken:" But it's my effing gamertag. What did I do wrong???

you sure you don't have another email linked th ea somewhere? it took me a while but i managed to find the email assosiated with my tag, just click on forgot password,  select the gamertag thingy, and then enter your tag, after that check all your email pages you remember, it should be in one.

Apparently MY OWN gamertag has been taken, I've had no other accounts on EA so I think is just bugging up again.<_<

I am trying to add my xbox gamertag without success. I've had an EA/Bioware social account since I played DA:O on my pc (I'll be playing ME2 on my xbox.) When I type in my gamertag and click add, I get a red box that says "Sorry, we can't find information about that Xbox LIVE Gamertag." followed by the standard warning "Before you can link your Xbox LIVE gamertag to your EA Master Account, you need to log in to any online EA game with your Xbox or Xbox 360," etc etc.

I've read mention of the login/email error here, but is anyone else getting the "we can't find info about your gamertag" message? I'm hoping that I just need to log into ME2 first and then EA will be able to find my gamertag, but I'm worried that it can't "see" my gamertag for some other reason. Anyone else getting/seen this?

use the email you have in your xbox live id.

go to manage account>windows live id

your email will show up right besides change password (give it a few secs to load)

try to log into ea using that email, if it says it don't exist then make it and wish your tag is there or that you can get it added.

btw, thanks to the creator of this thread, saved me from using my codes on the wrog account. (the one not associated to my gamertag)

That's my impression - that you need to log in to ME2 first.  The fact that you're not getting the 'already taken' message is a good sign, trust me.

If anyone has figured out a miracle solution for the latter, let me know.  I think I have a workaround, but it's clumsy, and it doesn't help the people who've already entered their codes.  Because I've established a social site presence with this account and the Blood Dragon codes are tied to it, I'd prefer to link this account to my gamertag - but I have access to my gamertag's email and the EA account it's tied to as well.  So I think I'm just going to use that gamertag-affiliated EA account here and wait to enter any codes til I've done that.

Okay. WTF is up with the ea site right now? At first (yesterday), it said system error please try again when i enter my gamertag, and now it says gamertag has already been taken, now ea won't even let me log in! when i click the login button on the top right, it just refreshes the page. if you can't download the bonus dlc's in game, this will be really unfair. :( my luck just gets worse with ea.

very frustrating isn't it?     we should be able to dl the dlc without the social or ea. What if people have xbl but don't have computers!?!!?

I guess I will just have to wait until I get home from work to load up ME2 and then try to get everything associated...what a pain. This Bioware/EA account already shows my Blood Dragon armor and Inferno armor (I validated my code before reading this thread) available for Xbox, so I'm definitely going to have to make my gamertag associate with this account somehow.

Which site are you talking about for the manage account > windows live id option?

Is this process absolutely necessary to get the DLC or can we simply log in/redeem codes from within ME2?

Regarding Xbox 360:

Isn't there an in-game menu from which you can redeem codes, like there is in Dragon Age? I mean, if somebody is unsure if their gamertag is connected to the right EA account, why not just redeem the codes from the Xbox itself? That way, at least the dlc will be tied to the gamertag used.

This is not working for me. The ****ty instructions on the little cards never said any thing about making a god damn persona!

I signed up with a new email. My GT is associated with another email. Is their a way to delete my xbox live persona so i can use it on this email?

Everytime i try to add my GT it says it's already in use! This website is so ****ing ****ty i swear!

All i want, is my damn armor.

Wait, so what do I do if I'm getting the message "sorry, that xbox live gamertag has been taken. Please try another one"? It IS my gamertag, but it's not registering for some reason??

Same issue with Dragon Age, such that before I got the game, it said I couldn't link....I believe it allowed me to do a link once i popped DA:O into the 360 for the first time. Whether or not this is applicable, not too sure.

Question: If we upload our codes on the main site (via PC) and our Bioware accounts are tied to the EA accounts and our Xbox Live ID, should the codes work? I seem to think people aren't getting their codes to work because they don't have everything linked.

Well, I opened a support ticket with EA just in case, we'll see how it goes.

The only way to link accounts is by having a mod do it.

EA accounts are the worst thing ever.

Why has EA made this so frustratingly difficult? You can't remove a persona?!? What the ****, EA? This is the most ridiculous bull**** I've ever seen!

I scroll down and see in the persona section "HIGGINZOB (xbox live gamertag)" and an EA symbol as an avatar. Have I done it correctly?

Yep, if it's tied to this account (and this is the one you want to use), you = win.

When I went through the process of redeeming my pre-order code, I went ahead and created a new EA Account using my new e-mail address, not realizing that I already had an account with my old e-mail (the one I use for Xbox Live -and the one that my Gamertag is attached to) I'm assuming at this point, it's just try and get EA Support to move my gamertag persona to my new account? (Also seeing as because I redeemed the code on the newer EA Account, I can't redeem it again on the older one.)

Yep, just contact EA Live Chat or Phone and they should do it. You'll be waiting longer to ask your question than the process itself.

Did they ever explain why do we have to go through all this while other publishers are fine without any such service?

Wow I don't even have my copy yet and I'm already aggravated by this. Why should I be messed around so much just to be able to access content I have paid for.

I'm definitely not looking forward to having to contact EA to be able to have my partner use my content on their gamertag as well as mine - tell me it's a freephone number??
