Sorry, we can't find information about that Xbox LIVE Gamertag.



Before you can link your Xbox LIVE Gamertag to your EA Master Account, you need to log in to any online EA game with your Xbox or Xbox 360. Once that is done, check your email inbox at the address you used to sign up for your Xbox LIVE Gamertag for an email from us describing what you need to do to link up your accounts.



Keep in mind, this email may not appear immediately, so be patient. Note, you can always come back to this page to re-trigger the email in case you missed it.



This is what it told me on the EA account page. My EA/Bioware emails are identical. I have the old school hotmail for my XBL GT and I can access its email.



So in order for this to work, I need to physically turn on ME2 on my 360. Then what? (btw, I have alll 3 codes waiting for me : cerb, terminus, collectors)



Am I on the right track?

I got the 360 version and the Terminus.exe file is telling me to install it on the PC. Is something wrong or do I put one of the disks into the computer?

Help... My gamertag e-mail is different form my EA account e-mail. What to do? If i try to link them, It says: System error, Please try again later. I think the only solution is to make a new gamer tag with the correct e-mail and then when i get ME2 i make sure i am logged in to that gamer tag. And when prompted to add my EA account i just use this one. I don't mind using an new gamertag. As i never play on Xbox live. I just want to play ME2!

One last question though...

Lets say i log in with my existing gamertag. And when i am redeeming my Cerbeurs Network code in ME2 and log in using the account i use here. Is that possible? Because my gamertag is a different E-Mail that the E-Mail i use for my EA account. However i also have an EA account with has the same e-mail as my gamertag. But i get the same error using that account. Will it give complications if i do it that way?

Make a gamertag with the e-mail that you use for the EA account and for this site. (They should be the same e-mail.)

If you don't care about it, just make a new one with the current e-mail.

Yeah, I think i do that... So what i have to do is when i get ME2, i log into my new gamertag, then i start ME2 up. and than i should get an E-Mail in my mailbox to link my account? Or is it also possible i just redeem my cerbeurs network code and log into my EA account ingame? Will that also link my account? Oh well... I will see what happens when i get the game

OK JUst to clarify. . step you need to take are



1. Make Sure your Bioware Social and you EA account have the same Email. . If have not got an EA account make one up. .



2. On the EA Account you need to add you gamertag as a persona So it is linked. . (if you gamertag comes up as Already in use you have a big problem due to its attached to another EA account.)

One way to try and make sure this doesnt happen is to first see if u can log into EA.com with some of your old or other emails that you use. . .That way then u can create another Bioware social Account just for the ME2 Content! That is if your GT is linked already to one of them. . .



2. Once u have the tricky part done and you have the same emails for Bioware/EA and your gamertag is linked to the EA.com You want to register your game on MassEffect2.com so its registered on your Bioware/Ea Accounts. . .



(see step 4 before 3)

3.Enter just your promo codes not the cerberus code in Redeem a code option on the mass effect site. .



4.As far as cerberus Im not 100% sure if you need to connect to cerberus once before you register the Codes as of your preorder/CE armors etc. . .And im not sure if you should only enter your cerberus codes on the Xbox or only on this site but im leaning towards Xbox! (if you have step 1, 2 and you have access to cerberus network go ahead with step 3)





Sorry if this seems complicated but its the clearest way i can describe it!

It keeps saying that my gamertag is already taken. How do I fix this? It is extremely annoying to not get something that I paid for.

If your gamertag Is linked to another EA Account then you have the worst of the problems. . If u have already entered all the codes in another Ea account without having your gamertag linked to it you are in trouble. . Not sure if you can get them back.. thinking not!. . If you have not entered the codes yet but are trying to get your GT linked to a EA account there might be a way! Create a New bioware accounht that would have the same emial as the EA Account that already has your gamertag linked to it! then just enter the ME2 codes on that one!

My EA persona already shows my Gamertag (Must be from BF1943) so that's OK I presume?



However Chris Priestly has stated that to redeem the codes from Bioware, you MUST sign into Bioware using your email account linked to your Gamertag, I didn't do this, so is it just a case of creating a new account here on the social site using your Gamertag email account or what?

Just an update- I loaded up ME2 last night, signed into my EA account through the Xbox, and my persona was updated automatically. In my case anyways, all of my worrying and trying to create the persona through EA's website was moot.

An update from me as well, I was on as a different name but made a new account, called them once I found out that my EA account was tied to a Yahoo email account. If you can find out what account you are tied to that really helps.



If not, tell them your GamerTag, tell them the email for that if they don't find it, they will though, then tell them what email you want to have that gamertag linked to and they'll set it up. The wait time on the phone is a ****..... I waited almost an hour and 40 minutes, but once I told the guy what the problem was he had it fixed very fast.



Still think this is a really stupid way to set this all up
