Hello,

Before the game released I believe I heard a dev state that sometimes prisoners who are waiting to be judged can be found in your dungeons. I've now judged 3 people, Alexius, Crestwood Mayor, and the barbarian goat thrower. None of whom have been found in the dungeon prior to their judgement! If I've got the darned thing I sure would like to use it. The operation to capture Crestwood's Mayor even stated that he would be kept in the dungeon until he could be judged.

I'm just a big fan of little details like this, really makes me feel like Skyhold is a living breathing fortress.

Can anyone confirm without spoiling too much if they have seen prisoners in their dungeon? Or is it going to be there just for 1-2 character tied into the main story or something?

Cheers.

Even when you imprison people the guard pretends they aren't there, but you can see them staring blankly at the walls in their cells.

I've checked my cells and haven't seen any of them occupied. I wonder if this is a bug.

I don't go down there beyond the first visit for codexy searching.  I also avoid the balconies.

He's in the garden, upper levels above where Josephine resides.

You know you can't die inside Skyhold... you can't even lose health.  I have fun jumping off of massive ledges.

Really? Because he showed up in my Inquisitors room and stood in the closet.

That's beside the point.  And here is the open invitation to all the poor souls I trolled in the arachnophobia thread to come troll my acrophobia.

I've never been able to speak to any prisoners in the dungeon either.  I've seen random prisoners in their cells, but wasn't able to talk to them and the guard always said there was nobody to watch over.   I thought it was mentioned in a Twitch stream we would be able to speak to prisoners in the dungeon before judging them, but either I was mistaken or that was cut out of the final version.

Also, the Quizquisitor showed once for me behind the stables near Blackwall and a second time lurking in my personal quarters closet. Creeeeeepy.

If it was cut I wish bioware would come out and say so, just for peace of mind.

When I was told I had prisoners to judge I went to the prison and nobody was there. Really killed immersion.

The only one I saw there was Alexius. I was hoping that my judgement of "Throwing him in the cell and figure out what to do with him later" would allow me to revisit him, confront him a little and pass a more private sentence, but we don't even get to talk to the prisoners. They're there, quiet as ever, and trapped for eternity.

Seriously who is this Quizquisitor and I knew there was a reason that I didn't visit my quarters....now I am scared to explore Skyhold! :(

...as for the dungeons and its inhabitants - probably they were planning to include that, but it got cut in the finished product (like some other things) sadly...it would be nice if you can talk to prisoners...

I came in here for the discussion on the dungeons, and I left with an overwhelming paranoia to check all my closets in SKyhold.

I had to look this up on youtube.  It is just some random guy who pops up in different locations around skyhold and if you talk to him he quizzes you.  (I can't read his name in the video but he is wearing a red tunic.) If you get them right you get a two handed spoon that makes your enemies explode when they die.

I think not being able to speak to the people you judge

or your companions about the judging was a missed opportunity

I really wanted to talk to Dorian about what to do with Alexius but I couldn't
