I can agree with this.  I modded the first Dragon Age but only for character respecs and changing the faces to match the CGI trailer.  That was it.  Otherwise,  I'm just going to wait for expansions.

Most modders I've found typically ruin the game.  Skyrim was a rare exception.  Most of those modders were intent on keep thing game within the confines of the actual universe and stay true to canon.

How do modders ruin a game?  Last time I checked, mods are all a matter of CHOICE. You aren't forced to add ANYTHING to your game that you don't want.

So, what are you talking about?

The great thing about mods is that they're optional.

Like most things in democracy should.

It's a pity some people want to force their view of the world on everyone else.

That's what tyrants like to do. I don't like something, so no one else can either. Time to slander and demoralize it until everyone change their mind about it and reality finally suits my tastes.

Stupid and unnecessary attittude. Rotten to the core.

I think some of you need to come back to earth on your modding expectations.

This is the Frostbite 3 engine that is not mod friendly, there are not going to be any mods of sweeping gameplay or mechanics changes.

I hate to be a kill joy...(ok, not really)

But some people need to bring their expectations back to earth.

But minor mechanical tweaks should work fine. Increasing potion limits, changing cooldowns, that sort of thing.

I don't anticipate a full combat overhaul (though it would be nice to undo the asymmetry), and I expect there's some technical limitation that prevents enemy friendly fire, but just altering numbers should totally work.

As i said, I only modded the first Dragon Age only for changing the faces to match the CGI trailer and some of the other NPC's faces that were horrid and that was it. Sometimes i go into the nude mods when it comes to romance between my character and my love interest like Leliena only.

'Mods ruining the game' is just an excuse for console gamers as only PC can do mods, so this is just spite.

Things I would definitely love to see:

Additional hair styles.

A graphical change to ring of pain (way too intrusive in it's current incarnation).

More passive skills (active skills would be nice, but that might be asking too much with this engine).

New weapons and armour (especially if they could be strategically placed throughout).

A slight speed increase to the auto attack chain (25%?)

A mod to replace the default auto attack chain with Dragon rage.

Better level progression.

Raise the 8 ability limit.

No idea what will be possible in the days to come, but for now we can dream.

I swear my poor qunari is going to rip them soon. Hell I still don't know why Bioware didn't allow us to wear the formal one, I like it and it fits her good :/

Yeah it also looks really good in different colors when you use the schems.

The sad thing is it didn't look so bad in the early shots. The boots especially. Then they changed it and bleh =/

I'm not sure how, but I don't imagine it would be impossible to add tactics for the party, given they're being used by the enemy constantly.

Oh, a tactics mod would be heaven.  Should really be in the game already and if Bioware/EA doesn't fix it, I hope some modder can untangle the game and fix it for us :)

Suddenly wishing I had both purchased the game for the PC and that my GPU was up to the task of playing it at maximum settings.

Hmm... you obviously didn't get very far into Skyrim modding... Macho Dragons, Cars, Guns, sex slaves, modern clothing and gadgets, the list goes on and on.

But all mods are optional.  You just take the ones you want.  Thinking something you don't need "ruins" a game can't get any stupider.

Keep it up! Lord knows we seriously need more hairstyle choices...BADLY!

Why didn't Bioware just take a look at the Nexus Skyrim page for inspiration? The choices and styles are incredible!

How can what we have ended up with be the best they can offer? No long hair for women and a handful of so so choices for men.

Modders save us!!!!!

Pay no attention to that person you were responding to. They may very well be a console gamer upset about what we can get on pc.

"If I can't have it, they SHOULDN'T have it either!" seems to be the line of thinking that person adopts.

I hope Bioware realizes how important modding is. Release a TOOLSET so we can fix the crappy console menus and the tactical combat.

The PC community demands it!
