Perhaps I was not clear enough, but people seem to misunderstand what I am talking about.

At the moment, when the demon commander goes underground, every class EXCEPT mages spec'd in Fade Cloak/Step has to start running to avoid it's attack.

The mage spec'd in Fade Cloak/Step is the only class that can continue to DPS while the demon commander is lurking underground.

You would think that dodge would give other classes the same ability to continue fighting while the commander is underground.  Not so; dodge does not get the player far enough away to avoid the attack when the attack shows itself.

Thus, dodge classes are at a distinct disadvantage in 1/3 of the boss fights.

I agree there are some issues with some of the movement abilities and I have them in my list of things to investigate. Ability slots are precious and when a movement ability has poor prediction or pops back to the point at which the ability was activated its not very useful. At the very least the passive upgrade to the warrior dodge roll removes status effects which is quite nice.

Regarding the Booty Demon - Ya'll gotta run! As soon as he goes under just start sprinting, he won't hit you. I've been playing the game for two years, this is a pro tip ; ) The thing that can get you is that he and the Nightmares apply a debuff that slows you so if you have this debuff on while trying to sprint away you're gonna have a bad time.

I've been seeing the comment a lot that you can't escape the demon and I think maybe some people are unaware of the sprint button. Left shift on PC, left stick click on controller. Sprint! It'll save your bacon!

Lost it among the ruckus?

So now that dodge changes are confirmed to (at least) being looked at, we must wait for bioware to make the next move.

What those changes might be?  Not sure, but I do know one thing.  Fade step/cloak cost significantly more mana/stamina than dodge/evade, and it has a 12 vs. 2 second cooldown.

The incompetent dodge point still stands, however.
