I hate you all and I wanna punch you. Treasure room here mr rushing person, would you open it please?! Meanwhile the guy is halfway across the zone already fighting and possibly some other tosser force teleporting the party by going to the next zone, and of course they ignore you even if you use a mic to call it out. This is becoming so common now it's silly, it seems almost every pug has one of these people in it and it really sours my mood.

Frack me man, STOP IT ALREADY. Skipping gold or possibly a item doesn't even make sense, and it doesnt take many seconds to clear a treasure room, the enemies won't go anywhere. Hell sometimes we might even need your help if a Revenant or the Horror thing spawns, or you overestimate your power and look stupid by getting downed, this happens alot too.

Have some goddamn respect for your fellow party members.

This is why PUGs are generally a bad idea. I've met some cool people that I play with on a regular basis on these forums and we all try to communicate well while we are doing our runs.

Well yea of course that is the optimal way of going about it, I did meet some cool guys the other day that I enjoy playing with on Threatening which is good enough for me, but they aren't always on and then I gotta pug it, but the way things are going I will probably end up stop doin that completely for my own sanitys sake :S

It's just the things I'm askin for isn't alot, it's just common sense and when people can't even do this then....yea.

Then you get those guys who insist that the entire party enter the room that can't spawn enemies.

Yes of course it's not necessarily needed for everyone to enter those rooms, though it does speed things up because usually theres multiple breakables with coin in them spread out and letting 1 person handle that is just unnecessary, the MP is about teamplay, I would say that applies in this case too. But if one REALLY doesn't want to run around a treasure room atleast politely wait at the entrance for everyone to be finished looting it then go as a team together.

You dont know that until you open the door. And if you do, and one or two of the party is half way across the map - it might turn into a problem where everyone dies, and that my friend is what I call a Complete Waste of Time!

I want to open every door and do it efficiently so that i maximize my gold which is the only way to get better items. Now, I'd much rather take gold because you never get any usefull equipment from these chests unfortunatly.

I can honestly say that of all my recent PUGs only two people have done this "wait" at the zone for the looters to finish and one of them was Shadohz from these forums. He speed runs the right way, when the whole group decided to skip/completely ignore a room, only then did he move forward. That's class. While I prefer looting everything, I can understand the XP/Speedrunners POV. It's just not mine. Sadly for me, it is for a large number of gamers on Xbox 360.

I am talking about the rooms that only contain one chest and nothing else. No vases, no enemies...  They are the same every game yet so many people insist on treating them as a possible threat.

I don't even think it's about speed running quite honestly, it's all about getting as many kills as possible hording up that XP bonus for yourself and that is why I find this so particularly rude and selfish and detrimental to the multiplayer experience.

But, as have been said already one of the whole points to multiplayer besides having fun is to earn gold and loot and I feel skipping that for the above reason when theres people who want the content of these treasure rooms is bad, especially if the party depends on your class to open a particular room it cannot be excused in any way possible unless it was agreed upon in the lobby beforehand.

So? Just because this has been going on since the dawn of time, that does not make it right or make it a reason for why one should not complain/call people out on it, quite the opposite.

Look, there are games where rushing for sure has it's place, but not here, not in the case Im arguing for. You want to rush, fine, go right ahead and do that with your buddies who all agreed on it.

To me its really not a big deal if the team keeps moving while I stop to grab loot. I will let them know if it is trapped and they come back or I will communicate that I am still collecting loot and they wait until I give the all clear to teleport me. You all share in the xp and gold so if them moving ahead speeds up that process then it's ok with me. I understand your frustration Tanash. PUGs can be down right frustrating.

Errr, you actually do know. The same rooms are consistently guaranteed to be undefended and have only one chest. That said, not everyone may know which those are yet so some caution is understandable. That also said, the worst you can get is either spiders or three faction enemies. If you've a competent, geared group on threatening or lower, two people should be able to handle that easily. If it's a guardian chest (which looks different from a regular chest), they can simply call the other party members back to it.

I'm with Scorpio on this.

If they teleport you by opening the next door, just run back. They'll get the picture.

Also you can just click the chest and kite the adds to them. They will appreciate your consideration.

some people want exp more than money if they have good gear. Then doing the rooms is a waste of time since you get less exp per hour.

it's one thing to rush thru efficiently and then there's the stupid way of just skipping everything like an idiot.

For example, some rooms are free chests (you know this when it's not the standard layout and usually has a second exit).  They won't be on the pedestal that indicate it's guarded nor would the room ever have adds.  Door opener can solo grab this.

Wonder if they'll enjoy trying to solo the Revenant...

I tend to play with a friend the majority of the time so if we encounter people that rush ahead on their own we just let them do it and watch them die, we do tell them to wait or come back especially if I'm playing a tank or something and if they still decide to leroy it then I let them die while we prepare our selves round a defensive corner for the incoming mobs that the leroy ****** pulled.

I get that people also want to do the run as fast as possible, though at the same time if baffles me why because what are you gaining? more exp to prestige and do it all over again? well congrats to you but unfortunately people like my self enjoy just playing through the levels and opening chests whilst doing the above, if you want to speed run and be a fool then do it on your own time.

Oh man, those Rambros are the worst.

The other day I had to solo a Revanant (thankfully I main Sin if you didn't gather that already :P) Because the team had ran off to stop the Rambro dying Just as I was right clicking the chest.

Worst part? Finished killing the Revanant about to loot the hard earned winnings and 'Poof' teleported to the checkpoint.

Rambro had ran straight to the checkpoint door after the team saved his backside.

Lest to say, in section 5 if I saw a Red Templar Marksman aiming at him in full draw pose, I'd let them shoot before killing them.

Even made a point of picking his backside off the floor AFTER we delt with the commander and not before.

Now if the whole team is speed running and communicates as such, I'm fine with that.

But most people aren't so at least wait until they've looted up and given the signal before popping the next door.

Kick them. If on console pressed select, go to name and RB them.

Meet people in pugs with mics and similar interest, add them and game with them.

After I promote a character and I'm doing a routine run and a couple threatening runs, I care not about the miniscule amount of gold you so desperately want.

Go ahead and open the door yourself and waste your own time, I'll go clear the next room solo. Because I can.

I run perilous for gold.

We have had a couple good laughs on PuGs, We will get into a treasure room, defeat the chest boss and then leave the room and keep going until one of us goes.. wait.. did anyone loot the chest? So then one of us runs back to loot the chest..

Other times we will overlook a treasure room.. one of us will call out that we missed the treasure room and we all run back to clear it.

I have never had any problems with people running to get kills, we tend to clear out an area, loot the vases then move onto the next.

If you want someone to play with, my OID is in my sig. Note, I have preference for Oceanic players due to the lag when connecting with american, british or european.
