So my protaganist is a human mage, and will be a Knight Enchanter, as it's the easiest and overpowered and for me, its fun.

I have completely messed up my companions though. Dorian is fully winter mage, which was a big mistake. I know there should be variety between my companions.

In terms of builds, what is the best to go with for each character? And what skills do i give them?

I am resetting all of my characters skills.

Not sure who to use as main companions either. I hear Iron Bull is meant to be amazaing, instead of Blackwall. I want characters that are funny, as I love overhearing the funyn banter they have whilst going about or travels and frolicking through the Hinterlands.

I'm currently lvl 9. So, still newbish.

(also.....I am completely going wrong somwhere, because in every fight, i do a couple of skills, then they all go red,. and i dont have the mana/stamina to carry out skills, just regular attack. How do i fix that?)

you have a max of 100 mana, which isn't increased by attributes. Have one of your companions take rejuvenating barrier to increase mana regen while a barrier is up, which it should always be on a KE. Winter stillness from winter will increase mana regen by 50% when standing still, which won't be much help in most situations for a KE, but you can always stop and just auto attack with the staff while it regens a bit. Other than that you just have to be patient and wait for it to regen enough to cast more spells. Chain lightning and immolate are both cost effective and do good damage, an upgraded fade cloak can be an exceptional nuke with just a bit of forethought in positioning for only 20 mana, and spirit blade will never eat up all of your mana at only 10 mana a cast and it does reliable, steady damage.
