You can tell me I play ME3MP like crap, but don't mess with my Bond! Straight to the butthurt list I go.

The only Bond movie I actually hated was License to Kill it truly was a piece of **** that should have never been made.

Anyone who thinks of playing James Bond should be forced, as a prerequisite, to watch the Bourne movies on endless loop for a minimum of a fortnight. Jason Bourne could easily become a Spectre.

I can think of a couple of reasons why Timothy Dalton might disagree with you  :P

Carey Lowell and Talisa Soto were hot but Timothy Dalton and the movie still sucked. :D

Paging Agent Triple X. She was the best Bond grill.

Agreed, although at least they did the truck stunt for real, and it was a damn sight more impressive than watching Pierce Brosnan 'surfing' in Die Another Day.

I will admit that in The Living Daylights Timothy Dalton sledding on the Cello was pretty awesome.

I kind of agree and disagree in equal measure.  I absolutely love the Bourne films, much more than any recent Bond outing, but he's a different character inhabiting a different world.  Bond films used to be about pure fantasy escapism, with a lot of humour and style, but Austin Powers pulled the rug out from under them by doing that better than they ever did.  John Smith RIP.

That's because the world that Bond was meant to inhabit, the one in which his attitudes and abilites made sense, is a world that no longer exists, and ceased to exist long before 1980. It can no more be made in the modern style than could a movie about Allan Quatermain. The world that Jason Bourne inhabits is here and now, despite the books having been written rather a long time ago.

Seriously, you're going to drop on the surface of Noveria to battle Reapers. Would you take James Bond or Jason Bourne on your team?

Given my liking for in-game headbutts, it'd be Bourne every time.  But if I was taking down Donovan Hock, "Bond. James Bond" would be the obvious man for the job.

As for your other point, every time I see Bernie Ecclestone or Silvio Berlusconi I see a Bond villain.  In some ways that are quite unpalatable the world you say no longer exists is thriving.  Point taken though.

My only problem with the new Bonds is pretty much my problem with most action movies today. Whats with the all the brooding action stars? James Bond is supposed to be a womanizing, cigar smoking, alcohol drinking, gambling playboy not some blonde hair brooding Mo Fo crying because he lost his girlfriend.

Still better than any Daniel Craig bond movie.

Craig's Bond is, by far, the most accurate depiction of James Bond as seen in Ian Fleming's books. Timothy Dalton comes second in that regard.

I was gonna post the 10 hour version, but there's a nipple visible. Didn't know that was allowed on Youtube.

Maybe. I dont know. I don't watch James Bond movies because of how well they follow the books. I watch them because I want to be entertained. And for my money no one is better than Sean Connery.

That's perfectly reasonable, but you can't claim that Connery's Bond is what Bond is "supposed" to be while Craig's is not.
