Man, was this thing expensive. Had to spend FOUR inqusition perks to get it.

Deft Hands allows you to open locked doors. I have yet to even look at the other perks, because once I saw it I knew I had to have it.

Will I get massive amounts of trearrure? And power? Or will I get something stupid like a carving knife and 62 gold?

HERE.

WE.

GO.

Actually you don't have to spend that many perks. At least I didn't. I just got most of my agents in the Hinterlands and spent maybe two perk points. I think with each agent it's considered a perk.

AFAIK you only need 1 point, as there are plenty of early scout agents early on. But, yeah. Worth it. Good gear + skill point amulet for inquisitor? Worth the perks!

I just figured out that you can get a more potions perk with Cullen's side.

Oh, yes. Check the agents under perks in each category, 1 agent counted as 1 perk point

Wish there were more than 1 Inquisition agents. You can fulfill every other point-prerequisite in every other category with agents, though.

It's pretty essential, since many collectibles (i.e. mosaic pieces) are behind doors that require the skill.

I was able to pick 'Deft Hands' as the very first perk.

This perk is worth gold.

Any locked wooden door should be able to be destroyed

Deft hand is used to open special doors. They contain rarer loot. Everything from a free skill point for your inquisitor, to purple items, to collectibles.

A must-have perk. You can get it as early as hinterlands.

I was able to get 5 points before Skyhold, and 2 agents in Secret. In the end it worked out perfectly: I got 2, of 4, codex perks. 4 more potions. Optimal cut and Deft Hands before ever going to Skyhold.

How could you get all this with 5 points? Deft hands alone costs 4.

Agents counts as "points". I had 2. I required 2 points in Secret to be eligible for Deft hand. Codex + Optimal cut + 2 agents = 4 points. My third point went into Deft Hand.

Before spending points it is much better to recruit the agents. Practically almost all the agents are from the very early maps, Hinterlands and Val Royeaux. In the Hinterlands alone you can recruit 8 agents (Clemence, Ellendra, Dennet, Berand, Ritts, Anais, Tanner, Vale).

If you have all the agents you waste much less points on the perks (practically only 1 point for the four requirement perks and 2 for the five).

That's how many points you need invested in that perk list to make it selectable. Agents and unlocked perks in the list each count as 1 point.

I think I only found 1 "secrets" agent because it took me a long time to get around to unlocking this... in fact, I got it too late for it to be of any real use, although it is probably very helpful if you care about collecting mosaic pieces and doing a few minor side quests.  If not, then I wouldn't recommend it.

There is a free skill point amulet for your inquisitor in Crestwood via a Deft hand door. That alone makes it worth it. Especially consider it takes 1-2 perks to get it.

Every agent counts as a point. The trick is being patient. Locked doors will wait for you.

The XP ones (except for one) won't. :)
