Hey guys, been trying out the different classes gameplay wise and they all are really fun. I'm finally deciding which class to take through to the end of the game, but I'm having trouble deciding. Since class selection doesn't really alter the story at all I'm wondering which class has the best looking armor/weapon choices throughout the game. It can be from schematics or purchased items. While stats are nice to have, I'm honestly just looking for best in terms of aesthetics. Thanks guys!

Humans have access to orlesian gear. Think DA:2 armor and weapon pack DLCs and Freeman gear, think DA:2 MotA DLC.. They also have access to templar gear.

Dwarves have Legion of the dead armor (DA:O) and Carter assassin armor (DA:2)

Elves have keeper armor for mages and Dalish scout armor for rogues, there is also a warrior set but I have yet to get it.

All the above have access to Warden armor..

Qunari have access to none. They have face paint though.

I have yet to get around to finishing my qunari archer playthrough, tossing up what to play next though, elf or human mage.. but at the same time I do not want to start it until they fix the armor.

Class doesn't really alter the armor very much. There is basically just three tiers of Coat, Mail and Armor with minor changes from Light, medium or Heavy and you can craft any armor to not have class restriction with tier 3 mats.

Ah thanks for the information! Is it possible to have mages in "heavy" armor? By heavy armor I mean robes decorated in plate gear. By that I mean a robe with plate shoulders and leg guards. Also are there any cool looking staff schematics in the game? I have seen some cool 2h weapons but no staff designs that make me say wow.

There are quite a few tier 3 staffs, hissing wastes and emprise du lion merchants, especially if you have the rare stock perk, there are also some cool looking weapon upgrades - blades / hafts.. I have yet to find tier 3 variants though.. but then I only just entered the emerald graves, and still need to search through hissing and emprise fully.. only ran through them to get to their merchants. XD

This can be purchased from the emprise du lion merchant with the rare stock perk
