I am getting installation problems with Digital Deluxe download. I have downloaded the game like 4 times now and I get this:

D:\\Downloads\\MEdde.Data.001

CRC failed in 'data\\data01.rar'. File is broken.

CRC failed in 'data\\movies.rar'. File is broken.

Any advice? Thats some 60 bucks going to the trash can :(

I tried the Daemon tools thing but I keep burning Disc 1 then at 35% to 40% it will fail... Any ideas?

EDIT: I'm trying to manually unpack and I noticed that Disc 1 actually works fine when it's cool (but only goes halfway when it heats up. So I'm kinda stuck at 20% with english.rar. Just waiting to see if any miracles happen...

EDITEDIT: Got the game up and running..... Yay! (just going through some OTHER issues now)

I've been battling this since I bought the Collector's Edition. After jumping through hoops to manually install via a similar method in the *SOLVED* section and patching, I then installed some of the DLC. The DLC wouldn't recognize the installed directory so I renamed it and tried a fresh install. All of a sudden, the whole thing installed directly from DVD without a hitch, acting as if nothing was ever wrong. So now I want to install it on a computer I am only around during the weekend that has no internet access whatsoever. After trying to install directly from isos mounted from Daemon Tools I get the same type of data errors. I tried a manual install on this machine too, however whenever there is an engine rendered cinematic there are horrible ghosting issues. I cannot even play the game, the screen goes almost all black with four dots from Shepard's armor. Am I screwed?

Bumped this thread in the hopes that I could get a response from the people who're able to solve this problem.

I'm having the "unable to locate a data file... or disc was ejected." error with my disc 2.

I think I may have a different case here though. This is the second time that I will be installing ME 2. The first time I installed the game, which was like months ago, worked out pretty well. No errors whatsoever. It's only after a few months later that I'm experiencing a problem now. The solution posted in the first page isn't working for me atm.

Please help.

One of 2 things has happened. Either your DVD drive is starting to play up, or you have dirt and/or a scratch on the disc which is preventing the data from being copied correctly.
First thing to do would be to try cleaning the disk, starting from the hole in the middle and going out towards the edge in a straight line. Do not use circular motions, as this can cause scratches in the direction that the data is written, and further stuff up the disk. Use a very soft cloth to do this, do not use any paper based product as they are quite abrasive.

You can also use your product key to download a copty of the game from EA's online store without having to pay extra. Get a copy of EADM (EA download manager), punch in your product code, and you're good to go. Link here;

Huh? It actually worked!

Well, I also restarted my system before I installed it again.

Thanks for the help! :)

For me, another solution worked:
I had installation failures as well when I simply swapped to Cd 2, hit "retry" and ignored the autorun prompt from Cd 2.
Then I just tried to accept the autorun and THEN hit "retry" - works just fine. Strange idea though...
