...is a **** weapon, but there's something about it. I just haven't figured it out which kit can it actually become somewhat more fun AND useful. I tried it on the AVS, TS, and GI, and i want to try it on the AssGuard too because it's only useful at close range, but it's just so heavy.
Any suggestions?
The Argus is actually quite powerful, but you have to focus a fair bit on stability.
I actually managed to do quite well using a Turian Cabal. Turian stability passives go a long way, but I'd even recommend mixing around your consumable equipment slots to add further stability. When you get all three shots landing without barrel climb, it really does an excellent job of wrecking enemies.
I hate the gun on the Tsol
Yeah, I tried it on the TSol and it was pretty good, but the turians lack of "flexibility" is an issue, when you have to fight close range. I can see it working on the Cabal tho, thanks! What mods do you use?
N7 Destroyer can turn any weapon useful depending on your devastator mode evo.
It is quite good on the TGI but which AR not? Try the Havoc or the Cabal if you want more interesting options.
Try turning it off then turning it back on.
Careful with this method, though. A twitchy finger can lead to a premature discharge of the payload.
I used it on the Human Infiltrator and Human Engineer. It's a fun weapon if you want to make heads go boom!
The Argus is better then the Harrier.

Arc nade to stun all the things, for easy headshots. It'd probably work OK on the SI and QFI too, for similar reasons (cooldowns don't matter, on-demand stagger power) though I've never actually tested that.

Completed it with the QFI, worked fairly well

I think Alfonse uses it on the TSent ... I've just never seen the point in the Argus since I got the Valkyrie, and there's not that much point in the Valkyrie if you've got the Saber.

There's not much point in anything else once you've got the Saber 
I use it on both original Turians (GE is another great option.) IMO Tsol wields it better against reapers and collectors while a Tsent does better against geth and cerby. The recoil and rate of fire take a lot of getting used to but are possible to control and put all 3 on the target's head (unless it's a phantom or something) at medium range. At long range it gets a little tricky to land all 3 on the head but very possible with a combination of hard cover and recoil compensation. For attachments I use the trinity (heavy barrel, extended mag, AP ammo) and slap on a stabilizer as an armor consumable. If you're still having problems with the recoil, you can replace the barrel with a scope.
And while it makes the Argus usable on higher difficulties, I'll have to agree with Chaalec that the gun is inferior to the Saber in every way. Simply put, why would you want to put 2-3 accurate bursts on a target when you can shoot em in the head once with a Saber? Unless you want to use it for challenge points or hipster points, you'll be much better off ditching the Argus and using a Saber instead. 
Pretty much I'm just bored of all the killer URs, so I'm trying to spice up my game a little with new, interesting, more challenging combos.
No hipster'ing, just messing around with new builds 'n stuff. I just recently found out how incredibly fun the HSent with Falcon and Warp ammo, or the TSol with the Tempest, I gun I loved in ME2, but hated in ME3, the Tsol makes it enjoyable as hell
And don't care about cheesing my challenge points either, I'm around 70k, got every banner about 2 years ago. Just trying to have fun until ME4 arrives, or they shut down the servers...

Wow... I'm relieved, reading back through that thread, that I'm pretty sure I didn't royally embarrass myself.

(Edit: I suppose I should add for the record, somewhere, that I have, just once, survived a Phantom synch kill that occurred immediately after I revived, presumably because it happened within the 4 second i-frame window.)
