I thought by electrocuting that gunship mechanic that he wouldn't get hurt like that but he still did, thought he was going to die.

Though admittedly he looks so much more badass with scars like that

You mean the one where you have to kill/spare Sidonis?

I spared him since my character was paragon and like his mission in ME 1 he would be a person better off.

Yes, done all my squad personal missions so I have their loyalty and upgraded the Normandy fully so I got the all survivors ending.

That extra time put in really pulled off.

Sorry about double posting getting use to this new board (( it was not showing my post for some reason..)) But about his personal mission man he has changed (( pretty much your old team did )) but I let him kill Sidonis. And I feel it changed him into a renagade character.

Yeah, the lost of his merc team really affected him what he suffered through in ME pales by comparison.

Garrus just seems a better character this time round, Brandon Keener did a fantastic job voicing him.

as did i on my first playthrough.  when i realized that archangel WAS garrus (even before he took off his mask), i was like "F*CKING GARRUS!!!!!!  HELLS YA!!!!"  then he gets gunned down, and i thought he died because i didnt take the renegade action against the mechanic.  i got a lump in my throat when garrus was gunned down.  i was yelling at my monitor "DONT DIE ON ME NOW DAMMIT!!!!"

I got really freaked out, too. I was like "WTF, SHEPARD STABBED A MAN IN THE BACK FOR YOU GARRUS, YOU DON'T /GET/ TO DIE!!! YOU HAVE TO KEEP CERBERUS OFF SHEPARD'S BACK!"

Does killing the mechanic actually change anything about the gunship fight?

Like Joker said, Garrus removed the stick from his rear but now he's trying to beat people to death with it.

Anyone else chuckle when you're talking to the mercs and ask about the gunship? "You sent a gunship after one man?" And the guy says "he shot it down." Garrus earned some major badass points at that moment.

Garrus is such an awesome character to bring with you. He always has awesome comments.

Bailey (referring to Shepard VI): When you delete a file, it says "I deleted files like you on the way to real errors."

Garrus: That's a little harsh, Commander.

Didn't surprise me at all that Garrus had gone vigilante in ME2. I remember my Shepard arguing with him in ME1 when he was talking about needing to break the rules to take down the 'bad guys' - and when he wanted to execute that rogue doctor.

But my Shepard was with Garrus all the way on the Sidonis mission  - screwing that up would seem like a direct betrayal of Garrus's trust (and of those who died). If anything, feel that my Shepard has changed more than Garrus has - imo Garrus always had renegade tendencies, but is also one of the most reliable and trustworthy characters to have on your team.

Garrus and Tali are still the only characters in ME2 my Shep would trust 100%.

He became Bat-Garrus, there's no way he's going to die now!

I thought he was going to die. So I reloaded and electrocuted that Batarian. He still got shot, at least he survived. I didn't let him kill Sidonis though, I don't want him to end up ruining his life over one man.
