I have seen Sera get a substantial amount of hate. I just want to know why you hate her. Personally, I love her. She's crazy. I like crazy.

Plus she was just confusing as hell to understand. She was worse than Cole

This basically sums it up, yeah.  I can appreciate her presence, especially in dialogs with Vivienne or Cassandra, because she gives voice to a real street-level perspective that we've never had before.  But in RL I'd have booted her out on her butt really quickly.  She's a real fly in the ointment.

It may just be me lol. It just seemed her thought process bounces all over the dang place and I couldn't follow it. I just smiled, nodded and walked away lol

I didn't hate Sera, but I didn't like her either. Honestly she was somewhat of a non entity for me even though my character ended up befriending her. I honestly thought the cookie story was very...stupid. Her heart is in the right place but she's so childish it hurts. I think I get it, she's sort of like Peter Pan except in the real world. She only knows so much and doesn't want to learn more and she deals with life with those limited tools at her disposal even if its not the right tool for the job, she is going to make that square peg fit into the round hole anyway, by cursing at it and possibly with an arrow.

I found her close minded attitude pretty disappointing tbh. Still love her to bits, but I can understand that some people don't like her.

Remember the infamous "slap morrigan" mod? I don't think stupid people desserves to be slapped but i will microwave babies just to get the "slap Sera" mod if it's even possible... she is not only stupid as Morrigan and closed minded as Sten, she is also uncout, stubborn, selfish, racist, trends to do bad jokes and snortlaughs on them... and finally she is not barefoot (totally unrelated)

 

Good thing she doesn't keep the DA2 formula of being as depictable companion all the game... once she evolves she even takes Anders flirting with just a "I'm not interesed in your thingy thing" and his joke of being "scaaaaary" was also taken in good mood. What i don't like about her seriously was the fact she portrays herself as a rightfull ass but ends being selfish (the patrons at the Skyhold tavern, companion bartering)... To tell the truth if somebody creates a "friends of big bearded Karl and reborned Shayle who hates Red Jenny" i guess it will get more support than friends of Red Jenny

I don't find  her close-minded. She just stand up to the rain of people that keep trying to change her. Which I find funny. Close minded would be the people that hate her for being her own person. She's not really a menace. She hate magery,smugness and elf living in the past. I can respect that.

I just find her way to immature for my taste. She develops opinions to suite her narrative rather than accept the world she lives in. She boils things down down to an overly simplified viewpoint when life is never that easy.

She is a shameless copy of NWN 2's Neeshka, but in contrast to the elf Sera, Neeshka is partly a demon, therefore the freaky, goblin-like behavior suits much better.
But Sera is the only char in Inquisition, who makes me laugh, therefore I like her.

I like sera , but i can see why most people dont, if you arent the patient type then you cant tolerate the likes of Sera.

I thought I would romance her on my first playthrough but I couldn't. She is a wackjob. She disrespectful to her own people or the Dalish. She is a hypocrite. She doesn't make sense.

 

It funny between the three women in your party, it seems that Cassandra is the only one I truly enjoy being around. Vivienne is Evil.She reminds me of Anders from Dragon Age 2. I was never for the current state of the chantry or the circle of magi. So I liked Cassandra's idea of changing how people view the chantry and the circle of magi.

 

Sera has a screwed up sense of what is wrong and right.. Plus she is rude. She calls Solas too Elfy?

I love humorous npc's but she is just to immature for my taste. Her timing with jokes is terrible and her punchlines are mediocre at best. Much prefer my party of dorian, bull, and varric. Their humor is more my taste

She's nice, interesting, and I loved the rooftop scene, but... she acts like she's around twenty-three, but she looks older, more like thirty-five, especially with her old voice and the frown lines. The discrepancy is weird, and makes her character either inconsistent or there's something I'm not seeing.

Well, the reason I say this is because of her dialogue after you leave the Well of Sorrows, with the whole demon worship thing. Personally, I kinda wish there was a "Whatever. In my line of work, just about everything is probably demons anyway" option, because at that point in the Inquisitor's life, I probably would have felt that way.

Sera is easy to like if you spend as little time with her as possible.  I liked her cutscenes.  I thought her reactions to things were very much in-line with what the common folk would feel.  She and my Inquisitor became good friends.  The problem is, once you start taking her in your party, you begin to see just how bad she can be.  How she treated Solas was downright despicable.  So I just never take her anywhere and instead eat cookies on the roof with her.

She is every occupy movement/peasant revolution that has failed.

 

I sympathize with her cause, but is also facepalming hard at how it will never work, not yet.

She's mentally about 14.  She is almost impossible to carry on a conversation with, and really doesn't contribute much to the party.  I don't hate her, but she's easily replaceable in almost every aspect of the game.

I find her unbearable and I'm someone who usually likes the unpopular characters. Her speech is incoherent, her VA is annoying, her personality is terrible and she's painfully unfunny. Neeshka from NWN2 was...strident, but not dumb and irrational with a side of internalized racism.

Good thing the occupy people didn't use arrows though. I would've hated to get stuck between the eyes at Zuccotti park on my way to work.

She is a psychopath with no character development....

 

Sera is like Jack / Subject Zero with no character development or character arc...
