because they haven't got any puppies to kill.

The perfect example of a pro-Sera voice. People who are anti-Sera tend to talk about what Sera does and why they don't like her. People are who are pro-Sera just attack people who don't share their opinion.

Protip: attacking a fictional character is okay, attacking fellow posters, not so much.

She's as racist as Zevran is. She's just rude. She sees herself as a person first, Zevran views himself as Antivan first. Zevran shows some concern for elves, Sera shows concern for elves (who don't embrace the identity of being a victim), but not because they are elves.

Also, I'd have to disagree with Moondoggie, as it seems the people who voice their dislike of Sera also share a dislike of Vivienne. I actually like both of them.

I don't recall attacking people. The opinions of people, sure, but not people.

Protip: over generalizing or making sweeping statements is a fallacy.

Bored.

(Below is a doodle of Varric ripping open the front of his shirt, with what appears to be a rainbow of hair coming out of it, with Bianca riding a flying nug over said rainbow of hair. An unflattering drawing of Solas seems to be looking on in judgement of such frivolity.)

Opps, I thought I stuck a "tend to" or "some" in there. My bad. Doodle is not loading though. It's 6:21 AM and my day is confirmed ruined.

I don't necessarily hate her, but her romance crisis point (post Temple of Mythal) turned me off from playing my female elf Inquisitor. If I didn't want to be a completionist about my game, if that were actually me, listening to her threaten our relationship because I give two craps about my people, I would have ended it there.

Irony? "I'm only going to stay in this relationship if she caves to my beliefs, instead of trying to find common ground", which is exactly why she can dump you, you try to force her into your way of thinking. So the PC should have all their whims/desires/beliefs catered to instead of allowing a character to keep their own?

To be completely honest I've come to enjoy her thoroughly.

Mostly because she's part of the glorious DAI effort to take the piss out of the elves.

Anyone who earns this much hate from people who insist on elven spelling and terminology has to be doing something right.

Wasn't there something in some thread a couple weeks ago about an example of why we shouldn't post drunk? /joke, unless there really was, then "mwahahahahahaha".

I never got the impression that my PC wanted her to conform to my way of thinking, just that she suddenly freaked out when I wouldn't handwave what happened at the temple. It's fine if she doesn't want to believe it, but I found it a bit selfish that me caring even in the slightest would be the breaking point for her, as if we couldn't continue to coexist for whatever reason.

Because she sees it as you choosing your people over her. Even though you know, and have known since you recruited her that the whole Dalish superiority thing is a turn off for her. That's my take, YMMV, but it makes sense to me. Religion and politics are two things that can drive a relationship into the gutter, and she wants to avoid the whole messy issue, and just get it over with now.

I see some differences, if I may. The major one being that Zevran can be reasoned with and can be even convinced to aid you in slaying the dalish clan, in the werewolf quest. Sera didn't even let me TALK to one guy she didn't like. Also, I adore Vivienne: they are very different characters and I don't see why you draw the comparison. Care to explain?

no idea i kill him every damn time, trust an assassin hired to kill you? that would be like trying to say sera doesn't put people in danger for her own selfish goals when she leads you into two ambushes.

Isn't this the same guy who killed one of her contacts and targets her organization? Hardly just a personal dislike.

Allow me to put it with different words.
Sera didn't even let me talk to one guy she didn't like me talking to.
The talking is the crucial part, not the liking. She had every right to dislike the guy, but we are the Inquisition. We inquire. It's in the name.

Its also about swords and passing judgment, do quite a lot of that. As far as Sera was concerned, there was as much discussion as was needed when he admitted to killing her friends, the very "little people" she's concerned about in the first place. Sure it was hasty and insubordinate, but was she supposed to compromise her values and stand idle while you contemplate allying with someone directly targeting her people? What's to reason?

That his influence and or assistance may have been more valuable to me than her random people and pranks. We'll never know, cause you know..narrative reasons and stuff. Personally I would have liked the opportunity to kill him myself or keep him as an agent and lose her. Maybe she turns into an enemy of the Inquisition, would have made her more interesting to me.

When is she dismissive of Andrastianism? Dismissive of the Chantry, maybe, but of the basic religious beliefs behind it? Doesn't being dismissive of the Chantry put her right in line with the majority of the Inquisition? It's not like nobody else believes that the Chantry needed to be "fixed".

Wut.

The reason Sera isn't dismissive of Andrastianism is that she believes in Andraste. To the point that she makes fun of all other religions and people who believe in them for being "stupid". After Temple of Mythal:

"You don't believe anything from Mythal?"

"'Course not. What, I should believe all that stuff, because Elves? I mean it was impressive and all, makes the Dalish look like ****** for livin' in the woods but so what? There's can't be a bunch of gods and The Maker. Don't matter how much or little you believe those don't fit. So, call me stupid, but I believe the stuff not made up by dead people who failed; Mythal is a ruin full of demons. I mean, it just makes sense right?"

"The evidence is hard to ignore. I believe it."

"No, now you're stupid. You can't think that because it's stupid."

Given your namesake, I can't imagine how you consider Fenris in all this, since he actually uses Hawke as bait in the first ambush. XD

lost property. I get a nice warm feeling inside when i return him to his owner. works out rather well you get a letter explain everything works out and they fix fenris's psychological problems and compensation for your troubles.

I'm not heartless i know fenris has lost his memories and is having difficulties as a result.

sometimes it pays to be selfless.

It does make sense I suppose, but plenty of relationships can still blossom despite political or religious affiliations. Her taking the hardline stance in this instance is what bugged me.
