She just go for anyone who's rich and she didn't hold animosity towards humans but her own kind...

But that's not how that works. The Jennies don't mess with nobles because they're rich; they mess with them because various servants complained about them. The game provides no examples of any nobles she goes after specifically because they're wealthy.

...and she would GI for that surgery to change her ears so she could fit in into human society. And not identify herself as an elf.

Putting aside that it doesn't really work to criticize a character based purely on the speculation of what they might do in a totally different setting, I don't really see a firm basis for this argument, from what I can gather of this character. She mocks elven culture, but never actually laments being an elf. Since personal political gain is seemingly of no interest to her, what would altering her appearance really accomplish? Then of course there's the very fact that she'd still be in a network of people that regularly disrupt the more influential of human society to begin with, so how would "fitting in" really mesh here?

She kinda did. When you talk to her she mentioned of a noblewoman who raised her and lied to her that the Baker doesn't like elves and she was angry @ her for lying to her face. That's the breaking point of why she has issues of being an elf in the first place.

She refuses to learn

She refuses to accept her mistakes

She can be downright petty

And yet, I still like here. With the right Inquisitor, she's actually a decent character, and I do like her more when you befriend her. But a Lawful Inquisitor, whose straight forward and pragmatic, only sees Sera as a petty child. Because she is.

This. I found her friendship to be truly touching - especially in Trespasser where she seems to be the only person who genuinely cares about how you are feeling, instead of the politics. She may be irresponsible and rash, but she also truly is a very good friend.

It's just that becoming her friend is not that easy. My canon Inquisitor has never gotten farther than the pranks conversation. They simply see too many things completely differently and Sera approves only of someone who agrees with her about most of things (like what happened at the temple of Mythal, there's nothing you can do to change her mind and if you don't change yours, well, then you're at a stalemate). That's okay, I don't need all companions to be my friends, but then you only get to see her worst qualities: pettiness, hypocrisy, close-mindedness...

She refuses to listen or learn. She clings to her own views like she's a little child afraid of learning the truth. She is also genuinely rude and inconsiderate at times... some of the things she says are quite horrible. Being around a person like that can be pretty tiring.

I do like Sera as a character, her banter is great and so is her personality. There are also many things about her that I didn't like so much, especially from my Inquisitor's point of view, and one of those things was that she didn't seem to change or grow as a person at all. I hope this means she will return in the next game, since I doubt her story is over... or maybe it is. Maybe she lives rest of her life believing only what she wants to believe instead of looking for the truth (even when it stares at her in the face she will just close her eyes and plug her ears as if that ever solves anything).

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought Sera couldn't / wouldn't wear an elf designated armor? That she could only wear one designed for humans and armors with non-restrictions in game?

.. hmn, this got me thinking...

... Or maybe my computer is doing something weird?

Yup and it make sense since I do believe that the elven-only armor in the game either belongs to the Dalish or to the ancient elves. As Sera dislikes both, it would make sense that she'd not be at all interested in wearing armor that belongs to or signifies a connection to any of the two.

I have a PS3 and it did the same thing, Sera doesn't like anything that's elven.

I just dislike the way she talks, it's obvious she has severe mental issues and I don't need someone like that in my Inquisition.

Well Solas doesn't like the dalish either and Varric hates dwarven stuff but I don't see them rejecting to wear the good exclusive race stuff.

Sera needs to get with the system. I'm the Inquisitor, so play dress up!
